My goodness, that last storm sounds very scarey Good job you were there to save that man! I've never known everywhere to be shut.
We've had a really dark sky all day that went a weirdy orange/green colour, but nothing else until about an hour ago. Wind is really high now and stuff flying around the front street. X

Thanks...to be honest the storm was very much a non event here...thankfully. Lots of leaves blown about in our garden but that seems to be about it. The storm just about hit the coast but headed north without coming inland. Still, the whole country was shut down. As I haven't been out I don't know how the roads are, I'm sure branches are down but dont know about any trees. After the last major storm the law changed in relation to trees on farmland, the landowner is now responsible for making them safe. We are in a grey area, we are not farmers and we have a tree grove protected by law so can't cut them...I'll check in the morning to see if they are safe.

Change of plans again today. Darling husband has a cousin from Belgium stranded in Dublin with what appears to be no money and nowhere to stay. So now he is on a bus to us to stay until his flight home on Friday

Lying awake in bed, tossing and turning and can't sleep. I'm yawning and tired but just can't get comfortable. My left boob is sore and seems to be in the way no matter how I lay.

Morning all, I finally slept. My routine seems to have been thrown around lately and my body is all over the place. It will be unsettled until Friday when our unexpected house guest leaves. He is 24, and HUGE and a gourmet chef. Hopefully then I can settle back into a proper food and exercise routine.
I'm just counting the last few strange days as a "who cares, let's hope its not too much damage done".
Its cold out today so not sure if ill try a cycle or just go for a walk.

Chicken soup in the pressure cooker and I've reactivated my sourdough starter and have a loaf hopefully proving. Sourdough takes ages so it will be bread for breakfast

Isn't it odd when your boobs or your arm suddenly gets in the way and stops you sleeping.. I often feel I need to unzip my arm mind you, if that is still sore make sure to get it checked out X

Its a bit awkward to get started and can be trial and error the first few goes but once it gets going its just like any other bread.....only longer. It can take about 24 hours to make a loaf, but so much nicer and only full of good things. The culture in it is good for you.

I agree, its my left boob which is bigger than the right one now and always seems in the way. I can't sleep on my left side anyway. There are a few reasons why it might be sore (TOTM, too much knitting, Oscar punched it, falling asleep in a funny way on the couch) and I am waiting until these aren't relevant and will see if its still sore.

Wow, the wind is really strong again. Just as bad here as last Monday and has been since about 2 am. I never brought the kittens in, I hope they are OK. I know its not as bad as Ophelia, but that didn't quite hit were we are....whereas this wind is pretty strong. 3 people were killed by Ophelia but potentially many more would have if the country didn't just close down. One tree came down on our road and took out the phone lines which still aren't back. The roads are cleared of trees but full of debris. A courier told me I'd be mad to honour on a bike as day debris is everywhere and the roads are very slimey with leaves. Anyway we had very heavy rain for 2 days with local floods so even when the wind dies down it will be walking in wellies only.

With the weather and having to stay in the diet and exercise has gone to hell. I need a big boost of willpower, has anyone got some to offer me. Can I buy it in a herbal tea.

Its amazing how quick our bodies get use to change, I had cheese yesterday and a takeaway last night, all things that were normal to me. Woke up with bad indigestion. So starting the morning (late one today) with a green smoothie with some acidopholis powder and a green tea
Fire is already lighting and watching Bear Grylls in Ecuador (I doubt we will have TV signal for long). Two furbabies Simba and Guinness are in, Socky will come home when he wants but I need to find Malbec, she gets very cold and listless when she hasn't got Guinness to snuggle up to

Willpower is invariably in short supply in my home. Mind you, it wasn't around much at work yesterday either when I found a bag of giant chocolate buttons in my desk drawers. I'd been bought them by a chap in a neighboring office and had forgotten I had them. Big mistake opening that drawer!

Will see how far I get today. I have no drawers to open.

Sounds like that last lot of wind has caused some havoc around yours, let's hope this new one doesn't do the same. It's picking up here again as well and is so dark!
I think my willpower is away on holiday! Hasn't been around for a while I just can't break the desperately wanting to eat chocolate..I might try switching to carob as I don't like that as much. Funnily I've been wanting to eat bread as well and it hasn't bothered me in ages..wonder if there's some kind of link with choc and bread.
