Tipperary wobbles into 2024

Morning all, another day of lying about. I think i git a bit drunk last night, warning dint try ti dance with crutches, i have very sore arms now. πŸ’ƒ
It was Theos first birthday yesterday and we went to a barbeque at his aunts house. He now has 4 Grannys that walk with sticks.

Had my smoothie for breakfast at 10am and then 2 burgers in buns at the bbq at 3pm and some cheesecake. Had some egg salad and crackers at about 6pm and then lots of wine and gin fizz. Finished the evening singing karaoke outside. πŸŽ€πŸŽΆπŸŒƒ

I WILL behave today.

That sounds so funny, I will take that image with me for the day to cheer me up!!!:):):):)

So how good am i. Daughters have gone to town and getting chipper takeaway for dinner

And ive said not for me

Ok, i am offically the most bored person there is. 5 days of lying on the couch is enough. And cos i cant sit up all the things i love like sewing and knitting and drawing and writing i just cant do. Im bored watching the TV and even bored reading. My body is now getting sore from not moving.

Checked my hospital appointment in case by some miracle it is Monday istead of Tuesday, but nope. However i did notice my consultant is a specialist in sports injuries, get that, i have a sports injury not an old person injuryπŸ˜‚

Food today ok, rashers, egg, white pudding and avocado at 10am. A burger, courgette/coconut soup and coleslaw at 1pm. 5pm was two chicken burgers and more avocado.

Daughter 2 will be here tomorrow and i am hoping to get a lift to town and go swimming.

Morning all, awake and getting up soon. Im going to do a weigh in today to see where i am at. So sugar, carbs and alcohol over the weekend so not expecting a loss at all. More looking for a baseline to see if ljyjing about is causing much damage.

Just weighed in an an increase of 1.2kg. Not surprised at all but i do need to focus so that with all the lying around i dont become a total slobe.

Been swimming and actually feel human again. Did 24 lengths arms only but feel so much better now. Hanging around at the pool waiting on a lift home now. But im being so good, i havent gone into the hotel to have breakfast or even just tea. My smoothie is at home waiting on me. Not had anything since finishing dinner at 5.30pm yesterday.

Oh fab that you got a swim, and that it has made you feel better!

So is it next Tuesday you see the sports injury specialist? Not much I can do to help on the boredom front, apart from ringing everyone you know and getting them to all come round and cheer you up! xx

Morning all, is it very quiet around here. I dont just mean people responding to my natterings but the whole site in general seems quiet.
Anyway a small drop overnight but still 1kg to go to get to last weeks lowest and get me safely away from BMI 35 altogether.

Off to specialist today, husband has to drive and not looking forward to it. He has been very cross all week, he just cant cope when anything is wrong with me and his response is to snap at everyone and everything.

Also annoying TOTM just started this morning, just when ive to have a doctor poking and prodding at my hip and particularly groin area.

Should mean though if i get appointment for another gynae specific MRI that timing will be right for that. Honestly i have to look for silver lining in the huge clouds right nowβ›ˆοΈ

Finished eating before 7pm last night. Yesterday was mostly keto, i did have some potato salad, about a dessertspoon through the day. Making my smoothie and bringing it with me. On a work day i try to have it about 11am. Hopefully will be in the waiting room by then, if hungry will have it in the car. Or if not may miss it altogether as we are hoping to go out to lunch after my appointment. Depends on how grumpy is i supose😀

Modning Susie, our posts overlapped😊

Back home and that was a total waste of time. The consultant had no intetest whatsoever in seeing me. I was less than 5 minutes. He had the x ray open and said simply i had arthritis and had to take anti inflammatories. I said the blood tests showed no inflammmation "means nothing take the anti inflammatories". I said the mri showed a tear "thats nothing take the anti inflammatories". I dont know if he had seen the mri. I asked about physio and exercise and got "you cant fix arthritis". I said moving my hip hurts so he said dont move it. And then he said i didnt need the crutch and to get an exercise bike. I cant put weight on it stillπŸ‘Ώ
Anyway, bought the tablets, spoke to the chemist and he said it was a months supply and to try them for a while.
So im back to work tomorrow on a crutch and will see how it goes. If ive no improvement next week ill go back to my own GP and get him to look at the MRI.
Not annoyed at the diagnosis but the total attitude. He didnt even exam me, just looked at the xray, i mean he could have called me with that info. And the total difference in him who was been paid directly to see me and the ER doctor who was so thorough and patient and detailed in his explanation even though it was a mad busy ER.
GRRRRRRR 😑

OMG that idiot sounds a total **** ☹

Yeah show your GP maybe they will tear the other guy a new one....

Hugs

So an update, i cant go back to work tomorrow. Called my boss and told him consultant wasnt concerned and said to go back to work. But asked my boss if he could find me a parking space in the staff car park as i still needed 1 crutch and couldnt walk from the public car park. He said i wasnt allowed into work on a crutch for insurance reasons. Ive tried walking without it and can wander a bit but slowly but need it to hold weight when standing and also for getting up and down from a chair. So he said nope. So back to my own GP for a cert for another day or two.

Oh my god that consultant! Why are they almost universally so arrogant!!!

I hope you tell your own GP all about it, what a waste of your time - and all the effort to get there.

Sitting in gp now. But might be able to get cert without seeing him. Cert from yesterdsy to next Monday hopefully. And then see if im mobile on Tuesday if not we have to come up with plan B.

Off work until next Tuesday. It may take a few days for these meds to work so advised to give myself time.
Went for a walk this morning, 2.5km slowly and it was fine. It seems to relieve the tension when i walk. But hip very sore now. Also a bit dizzy so lying down.

Stopped in Tesco earlier and bought some buffalo ricotta, it is amazing.
And some kind person has bought me a large bar of cadburys whole nut, just when i managed to rid the house of chocolate.

Chocolate has great healing properties, enjoy :). And I hear you on the mozzarella front, it's lovely isn't it?

Take it easy on the exercise though hun - I know you really don't feel right when you don't do it, but you've got to give yourself time to heal x
