I'm very tired today. Need to have a quiet day because I've got to drive back down to London tomorrow for the day.
Has a great meal last night for my daughters 18th. I had minestrone soup for starters then lemon chicken with green leaf salad. No oily dressing :) I did have a small piece of her birthday cake when we got home though :) well you have to don't you? :)
It's been a good week apart from the burger king but probably not lost anything this week due to my usual totm weight gain . Will see what tomorrow brings I guess.
I need to go food shopping but that will have to wait til Wednesday so I need some interesting ideas for tea.
I've got potatoes leeks spinach and bacon.

Any ideas ladies ?

A potato, bacon & leek bake, use milk & I think I'd you bake it it'd work without butter, maybe some fry light. Just slice it all fine, season & bake it. Mmmmmm might do that myself one night this week x
 
If course! They like potato bakes. Works with a tomato 'sauce'.
I have both chick peas and lentils , I live both but have to be careful curry wise with hubby and youngest daughter sovinly make them every so often

Red lentil with mild curry powder, add some bacon and use fry light to sweat some onions and leeks, plus bacon Add lentils plus chicken stock and some tinned tomatoes? Put spinach in at end?
 
Oh good grief I don't know what came over me!! Normally I'm fairly good, restrained even but I was so ecstatic at finding a treat that was low fat I've just gorged myself :(
I found co op healthier options hot cross buns!!!! Wouldn't normally touch them with a barge pole but they're only 2.3 g fat per 100g!!
I was so pleased. But now I'm not :( I've just finished them all .
I guess I won't be buying then again I can't risk it

I dont know what the hell happened, I'm not a binge eater . It was strange.
I know they were in the rules but I still didn't check the calories . In just more shocked at what I did than what I ate.

Ok yesterday I weighed myself, I don't normally weigh early but I thought I would. Last week I had a sts at 14:10. Yesterday I was 14:8 :) yeah . That bodes well for today Tuesday my normal weigh in day.
WTF!!!!!! Today I Jump on and I'm 14:11 !!!!! :( how does that work? I thought I'd finally broken the barrier I get stuck st only to find I've now put on a pound . What the hells going on?!

Now I get back on 10 mins later and I'm back to 14:10. Last weeks weight!! It's not fair :(

Stop scale jumping! Take it as a sts & see if you can change something this week, try calorie counting not sw or something different to see if you can shock your body & get below that naughty 1410.... You can do it hon x
 
This is why I don't trust my home scales bc I can hop all day and make it different that's why with sw they make it so you can only jump on once lol! Kat what are we doing!! Me and you?! Ugh lol I'm feelin your frustration honey! X
 
It's so frustrating ! I've just been reading my daughters running mag and there was quite an interesting snippet in one of the articles from someone who went on an Adore yourself slim seminar . She says that if the portions on your plate are right then eat until you're full, put it to one side and if you're peckish later you can eat it knowing that they're not extra calories bit something that you were happy with anyway.
It makes sense

I thought so. Common sense really but we don't think of it like that. The other thing she said was that if she has one piece of toast for breakfast and she's full then that's good but tells herself that if she wants another then it's ok but because it's ok to have it she doesn't . ( if you can understand how I wrote that) :)

My daughter is having a drama and a crisis. She is 18, has known for about 4 years that she wants to be a dietician so everything she has worked for is with that in mind. She is applying for uni and is waiting for her choices to get back to her. two weeks ago one of her 'insurance' choices, the easiest one to get into refused her. Her second choice have offered her an interview, whcih is great progress but last night her top choice refused her. So now she is panicking and wondering what to do with her life! Because its an NHS course there are fewer places anyway so getting an interview is fantastic. Now shes only got 2 left to wait for answers to.

To top it off she took a chemistry exam yesterday, panicked and blanked out because one of the invigilators said to another one part way through the exam that she may be disqualified for not having her ID!! She knew this but her purse was stolen in November and the ID was in it. one of her tutors said she would come and get her into exams but didnt! So this morning Im about to give the head a mouthful for the unprofessionalism of his invigilators. Its stressful enough doing this without having prats like that ruining it.
