Last night food with friends went well my strategy worked I only ate my soup with s couple of other nibbles so no major disasters.

Family arrive today so I've got a sweet and sour chicken and rice cooking for lunch for whoever turns up when. It's cold buffet stuff and I've got lots of salad planned. So again should have a fairly good day.

Ready for the wagon tomorrow night :)

My will power isn't brilliant but I'm not doing too bad at the minute. I just wish I could lose weight quicker to make me feel better. I'll find out on Tuesday whether it was worthwhile or not. ;)

Think you should be very proud of yourself keeping motivated over christmas, I have gone totaly to pot!! Well its gonna be a new start for me on wed, wish me luck cos I need it!! lol:booboo:

I can't decide which scales to use this year. I need to be consistent so I need to make a choice.
My scales are obviously around all the time. The problem is they weigh 2-3 lb lighter than the docs or sw. But I like to weigh In the mornings in stones.
I go to the docs every 2 weeks and they weigh me in kg . I get weighed on the mornings.
Sw scales. I get weighed at night at sw. I know I weigh about 3 lbs heavier at night than I do in the morning. I'm also thinking about not going to sw as i can't go for about 3 weeks in Jan anyway and I'm confusing myself I think.

So, my rambling dilemma is this:-

Should I give up sw ?
Should I use my scales and know they're not perfect as weight fluctuates daily anyway?
Should I use my docs scales ?

Help!!! I'm confused.

I'm also scared as I appear to be stuck at my weight. The same weight that has doomed me for a couple of years. I can't get below 14:10-15.00. Stones. I just fluctuate between them. I've got a barrier I can't get below. I refuse my 2012 to be the same battle. I want to get to goal this year not battle this next half s stone! :)

What can I do? I nerd to make a decision before the wagon rolls up tonight.

With the scales I would go with the doctors weigh in and then check when you get back home to see the exact amount your home scales are out, then use these for weighing between doctors appointments ( I do this with the wii, they are always a few pounds out, but are consistent ).

Not sure about SW. Do you stay to group and get something out of it?
 
I have had 3 mths of no exercise, and I found out that if I was not really strict with my kcal intake I didn't loose anything!!!!!! So that extra yogurt, I rich tea biscuit was keeping me the same weight!
 
I weigh at home every week & with Doc every 4 weeks & there is about 1kg different but it's always the same.... As you know I don't do a slimming club but it all depends on whether you need that weigh in with someone else to keep you motivated... I honestly find you lot are enough as I've got someone's advice to ask if I have a problem..... You can still follow sw plan & not go to group. I know I asked before but have you considered shaking your body up & using mfp instead for a few weeks as I am sure there are things you can have following sw that aren't within the 5% rule (cheese being one). Whatever you decide I'm here to support you xx
 
Ok this is more from my perspective so I'll just go ahead and rant!

I personally need a day I have to face it all once a fortnight wouldn't be regular enough for me it would allow me to slip up! And not really have an idea of whether I was being good as such!

Wi at home means I can easily avoid the scales of I know I've been bad or wi on the wrong day and tbh I don't really trust home scales as we have all notices they vary far too much!

For Me sw is my saviour bc I can share with the other members and when I need some extra support it's there it also keeps me motivated knowing that other people will know how I got on etc!

But then I've never been given the option of wi at the doc that regular!

Why do you feel it's time to leave sw group? Xx
 
Funny i have been thinking the same things, never been to the doctor's about my weight but I think if I went to the doctors and got a weigh in once a month maybe I could get the motivation together to use all my SW books from last year!? I just need that independent person to weigh on accurate scales!! I have just weighed myself on my weight watchers scales and lost 2 1/2 lb in 2 seconds!!! Thought they would be good ones!! Can anyone go to the doctors to be weighed? :confused:
 
Anyone can get weighed at the docs . I had to go before I started xen as a 'weight management ' thing with the nurse before they would give it to me. I just go fortnightly to the nurse. I would imagine all surgeries are the same. Just phone them and ask if they do a weight management programme or will weigh you regularly to keep you on track. I'm sure they will as it's in their best interest to keeptheir patients healthy.

I like going to sw group as I do stay but like many others u find the support on here better as it's more instant if we are struggling and more focusd. I don't know whether I want to continue paying £5 to get weighed.
I do use mfp on my phone so I've got fingers in a few pies. Maybe it's too many and I need to choose one method rather than all. Food wise I eat sw but record it on mfp which pays attention to calories.
Confusing or what? :)

You've lost me lol! See my scales don't vary that I am aware of, there is 1.2kg different from the docs but that is always the case so that says to me they are accurate....

Phone battery ran out before I finished lol...

I have a set of digital scales that can weigh kgs or lbs. Free Gift worth £60 about 5 years ago, when we were doing up our house! Are very accurate.. Docs scales are about 1kg less than mine but are not digital! And are very old! So I go by mine.
 
Ive decided to go by my scales. I may have to stop going to slimming world anyway. I'll use mfp, try and keep up my walking and trampolining and see where it gets me.

So I'll weigh in tommorow morning for my official new years weigh in but this morning it was 14:11. I'll also get my daughter to take a few pics as well to add to my gallery and I'll post it all onto the 2012 goals and Easter challenge.
 
Well Im gonna call the doc's tomorrow to see what they say!! Thanks for the advise!
Like I said before about the fostering Let me know if you have any questions or if you are unsure on how things work? : )
 
Thanks we've done the initial questionnaire . The Medicals etc. So now we wait for them to come and do the in depth visits, contact our referred and do the training course. We may have problems with that bit though as they are all on fri/sat and hubby can't change his Fridays as he teaches and there's no one to cover for him.
Do you know if you have to do the course before you start fostering or if it can be done once you start ?
