Something to consider.
Many people seem to see dieting as like a bus trip. The minute they get to target, they're going to jump off going "whoop whoop" and feeling very pleased with themselves. The next thing you know, they'll be back here crying into their double chins that they've put the weight back on....... You read the same stories every day on this forum.
If your "normal" way of eating and drinking got you into this fat pickle in the first place, then you have to get your head into the mindset that you're NEVER going to be able to return to you old ways ever again.
You have to make changes NOW that you will live with for the rest of your life if you want to stay healthy.
Going through life, you can't get into a state every time you're invited to a BBQ, a birthday party, a wedding or christening, a night out with the girls.........
You have to behave like ex-smokers. There are certain things that YOU JUST DON'T DO ANY MORE. Not because you're depriving yourself or someone else tells you that you can't. BUT because you have really changed and YOU don't want to eat this or drink that to excess.
This is what I meant when I encouraged Jezzi to enjoy the BBQ. The odd chicken leg is NOT going to ruin any diet. She already said that she wasn't drinking and I bet there are many more calories ingested through alcohol at your average BBQ than food!
You have to get food into perspective. We're all here to lose weight. But, it's got to be sustainable. It's like a dog. It's for life!
