Extra Easy Days Trefoil's Trip To Target!

Good luck at weigh in, I got 2lbs off so thats me 14lbs and a nice shiney new award :D I gained a lb last week due to TOTM so I was a bit disappointed with 2 until I realised it added up to a stone which shouldn't be grumbled at! I have yet to attempt O/N oats but I just don't think they would appeal to me.. I am one of they people who like my yoghurt as a yoghurt I can't pour it on fruit or cereal etc. I like it on its own in a tub haha! x

Hey Ruth

How are you doing my dear. I've just been catching up on your diary. Well done on getting out of your old job!

You food pics always look so lovely. I love to cook and wish I had a bit more time than I do these days!! X

2lbs off for me this week :D

I was expecting a gain that much that I didn't dare look down! My consultant also complimented me on my food diaries in front of everyone, she said they were brilliant, which was very nice of her!

Crumbs, I really am shrinking!

Hello!!! Hope that you're ok :)

I am well thanks, exhausted as per usual haha but good! Thank you for the well wishes I am so excited to start next Monday!

I do have far too much time on my hands when it comes to the food aspect of everything, but this is exactly what I didn't have before, so I am definitely relishing it! How are things with you??

Thank you very much and well done on your stone award that is ace!!!
I'm not so sure about the oats now as I didn't like the baked ones however I am willing to give them a try! To be honest I haven't tried the whole yogurt and fruit together thingy, I always eat them separate too!!

Good luck for weigh in tonight Ruth :D . Glad your headache went away yesterday :) . It's been ages since I've taken measurements, but its a good thing to do. Congrats on dropping a dress size, whoop ! :woohoo: That's brilliant, your doing so well hun. Exciting times ahead with your new job ! Really happy for you . Thanks for inviting me for tea, lookout for the doorbell :p . You reminded me, I have frozen fish in the freezer, what you making with yours ? I love your meals. Your lucky your OH is a good cook too. And despite all the good cooks in your family, your losing weight and doing so well too :D . Hope you manage to get back to gym soon, you sound really happy when your in your routine :) . I don't think TOTM is going to spoil your results, you've been good all week and will be rewarded for it, promise .

Good luck and hope you smash it ! :p:bunnydance:

Kay xx

Thanks for the kind words Kay :) I will await the doorbell ringing!!
Well I was going to do fish with chips and a salad but my OH says we will have fish later in the week so I am going to have the easy option of mini kievs at 1.5 Syns each! (I've had a synless day so far!) with chips and salad as I am home alone tonight....
My OH was a total nightmare at first with cream and butter and goodness knows what else in everything so I taught him the ways of SW and he isn't too bad now ;) he has taught me a fair bit so I do feel quite lucky!

Thanks again Kay, I hope that you're alright, your walk around the lake and pictures look fab!!!

Congrats on 2 off! Thank you it feels good to get another sticker (such s child at heart haha!). I have literally folded in bed already. Had steak chips and salad for dinner but I left the chips they just weren't doing it for me tonight! My OH and little one had a chippy so I think because there chips looks and smelt so yummy and vinegary mine just doesn't cut it :( I used to love mini kievs when I was younger. My gran used to make them for us when we were younger but not seen them for years. Might have to hunt them down 1.5 syns each isn't too bad for s trip down memory lane lol. Hope you enjoyed :) Natalie x

Thank you very much, congrats to you too :) well done on your stone!!!! I can't wait to get mine, that's my next big goal, although as long as I keep losing (as I haven't gained yet) I'm happy! Aww that's a bit rubbish about the chips :( I also make my own and I'm not a fan of chip shop chips (thank goodness, my OH loves the chippy!!!) do you eat together with your OH and LO often? Your willpower is amazing as I used to love scraps and sausage from a chippy!!! Mini kievs are basically my only "quick" dinner solution. Always keep them in the freezer for basic need :) I used to be absolutely horrendous with convenience food when I did SW but they really are brilliant! Quite often it's 2 bags for £3 in the freezer section in Asda or your local supermarket, although I don't recommend their own brand ones (yuck :( ) I was thinking of having a go at making my own although I bet I couldn't get them to 1.5 Syns each!!! Aah well!

Hope you're alright!

Your not far from it, next week could be the week :) I just love the smell of chippy food (odd that way). We do tend to eat together but if I know they are going to be having a treat then I try to make mine first so I'm Full and don't get tempted. Not easy though and I definitely struggle to not have a taste lol. I'm sure somewhere on minis there will be a mini Kiev recipe lol. I am always amazed at the things people think of for food ideas. I'm not creative enough. Meal prep is all done for tomorrow. Lunches all packed and I've made home made soup for dinner. Been lying in bed since half 8 refusing to go to sleep cause it's light outside. OH has popped out so I'm enjoying the peace and quiet since wee one is snoring:p enjoy rest of your night, Natalie x

Ooh I know I can almost taste it, just 3lbs to go... Mind you I can also taste those scraps from the chippy  the soup sounds lovely and you sound very prepared indeed :) glad you're enjoying some nice peace and quiet- sounds lovely to me!! I too am also enjoying the silence of not having my OH here!! He will be home in an hour by which time I will be fast on :) have a fab and relaxing rest of the evening :)

image.jpeg So, I filled this in. The deed is done and I have made my decision!!
I have never filled this page in before... I am also closer to my Club 10 than I realised. I hope I did it right. I got 20.3lbs so I put it to 20?! Which makes it 13.1?
Also seeing my book like this keeps me motivated!!
I'm not going to start saying 'Xlbs to target' because I don't want to frighten myself I don't think so I am going to stick with my interims and just take it slowly. I think for my height I'm not going too far wrong, I don't want to lose my curves, and I have a lot of them!!!! And I think just over another 2 stone is perfectly doable!

I feel a certain sense of accomplishment now :) looking forward to continuing my journey!

Morning! My eyes just totally levitated to the words 'hazelnut spread' and my mouth totally drooled  I miss a wee nutella. I might at the weekend make me and the little ones some pancakes and have nutella as a wee treat, yummy  Have you seen banana pancakes? I seen a video on youtube of someone making them, they were literally made up using eggs, sweetener and mashed banana? I know you need to syn mashed banana but still pretty low syn and they looked great!

Congrats on completing the book! I've set myself a 'target' but I may alter it depending how I feel as I get lighter (feels good to write that lol). I've never thought about club 10 but I reckon mine will be 18.5lbs if I can calculate properly so thats only 4.5lbs away! Exciting. I may make that my aim for end of May, to be club 10 by June:D

I have quite a slow day at work today by looks of things, I should be studying but my google just magically typed minimins in the search bar... naughty google ;) I took the plunge and applied to do my masters degree in advanced practice, so I have been accepted unconditionally and now start in Sept! All sounds good until Sept comes along and I'll regret signing up voluntarily to write essays... I left uni over 5 years ago :confused:o_O

Have a good day, Natalie x

Hello! Oooo I do love Nutella, definitely my weakness but it also stops me from wanting anything worse so im happy to stick with it really! I have seen the banana pancakes and they do look nice but I'm allergic to bananas so not for me  :(

I'm loving the fact that I've picked a target but I may also adjust it depending on how I feel, not sure if it's too low or just about right really. Got a couple of milestones I would like to see myself do/fit into/achieve and then I will call it a day, definitely think it's good to be flexible and not have anything set in stone! That is definitely a fab aim and I am sure you will do it no problem at all!

Wow the studying sounds amazing! I'm sure that you will be fine by September I am extremely jealous, I would love to go to university, hoping to go when am older :) what are you looking to do?

Hope that you've had a lovely day!

I think it's too difficult to decide a target cause until your losing weight you'll never know when your happy and comfortable.

I am lucky cause NHS pay for courses linked to employment so I don't need to pay and I can do it while still working. Otherwise I wouldn't be going back. It's too expensive.

I just had a naughty dinner. OH was having chicken tikka masala and rice. Which is 14.5 and 2.5 syns apparently and I stole a few spoonfuls of each but I'm calling it 10 syns to be safe. Yum.

What was for dinner your end? I'm running out of ideas lol!

I do agree with what you've said on the target front, I just know me, and I will dilly dally around the 12s if I'm not careful (although I've never EVER got into the 12s at a SW group before) and then I normally give in, so got to try and keep focused. I'm also a bit worried about looking drawn because I'm quite long in my mid half and I have long legs too! Just keeping my eyes out, but hopefully not getting too OTT!

Ooh yes you are lucky with being funded for your course :) I quite fancy going to do Engineering but it wouldn't be funded and I have rent to pay so that idea will be shelved for a few years, hopefully I can build myself up in my upcoming post to be able to nip off to my local college or Leeds/York universities which are the closest to where I live, if they would let me. It all sounds totally wonderful :)

Ooo chicken tikka masala and rice, that certainly does sound very yummy. I hope you enjoyed it! You deserve it after your loss yesterday too! My OH cooked me dinner as he is off today and tomorrow so it's down to him! We had spiced chicken with cauliflower "rice" and mixed vegetables. Will post the recipe below. Very nice indeed, and so filling :D

Hope that you had a lovely evening!

Lovely meal tonight!
OH is off today and tomorrow so cooked for me:
Spiced Chicken Pieces with Cheese and Cauliflower "Rice". HEA plus 3 Syns for Olive Oil. (You can use Frylight, which I did for the chicken but I used 1/2 tbsp for the rice to bulk my Syns out)

Spiced Chicken
2x Chicken Breasts- cut into Strips
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
1/2 lime- juiced
S&P
Frylight
40g Reduced Fat Cheddar HEA

Cauliflower "Rice"
250g Cauliflower
1x small Onion, peeled and roughly chopped
4 large cloves garlic
1 red chilli
1/2 Leek- shredded
2 spring onions
2 Plum Tomatoes
1/2 tsp Chilli Flakes
1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
1 tsp Oregano
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
250ml Chicken Stock (same as the other day!)
1/2 Lime- Juiced
S&P

1. Cut the chicken into strips, place in a bowl and add the cumin, lime juice, paprika and S&P. Coat and leave to one side. Heat up a griddle/skillet pan on the hob on a medium heat and spray with frylight. Place the chicken pieces in and cook slowly. Serve with the cheese on the top.

2. Blend cauliflower pieces and set aside (it looks like cous cous!) Then put a large pan on the hob and add the olive oil, onion, garlic and chilli in a pan. Sauté for 5 minutes, then add the cauliflower for 5 mins. Add the tomato, chicken stock, oregano, cumin, chilli flakes and simmer for 20 mins. Finally, add the garlic powder, S&P, Lime Juice and serve.

Well nice...
