Hello!

Thank you very much :) I love my photos because I do believe that it keeps you motivated- my OH thinks I'm mad ;)

We food process the cauliflower but we have one of those 100 in 1 blenders and can choose the grade, I think that my OH literally only did it for about 2 seconds. It was so scrummy!!!

Hope that you're having a lovely day- well done on your losses!!!

Just been informed that I am being taken out for lunch on Friday by my colleagues which is wonderful- to my favourite restaurant in Harrogate which is the Orchid (where I am going with my dad in August)
The menu looks immense for their 'express lunch' as it's called. The link is below.

http://www.orchidrestaurant.co.uk/express-lunch.php
I think I am going to have the Thai Salad and the Prawns. Yum Yum!! probably a small glass of wine too- 1 small one can't hurt :D
They have one chef per region and have won loads of awards- all of their meals are cooked fresh and to order so I am very excited.

However, I also believe that I am coming down with a cold- heavy face and sore eyes. Boo.

I love Harrogate. Going later this year as my husbands doing a long bike ride in the area.

A family friendly restaurant recommendation would be useful.

I have lived here for 22 years out of 26! So also love it :)

Right- a restaurant. Harrogate is a conference town and we have almost anything you could wish for, are you looking for a certain kind of taste? We are permanently expanding too! There are 8 new restaurants opening in the next month in the centre (round the corner from where I live, I live directly behind the railway station in the centre!)

Lovely Pork Ragoût with Oxo Roasties for dinner! Courtesy of Rosemary Conley and 3.5 Syns each (2 tbsp Cornflour in the recipe as a thickening agent)

Ragoût
1lb Pork pieces- fat removed
Green Lean Beans
1 garlic clove, crushed
1/2 large onion, roughly chopped
1 green pepper, seeded and cut into strips
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
1/4 pint beef stock using Oxo Cube
1 tbsp Basil
Parsley to Garnish
S&P

Roast Potatoes
4 Large Potatoes, scrubbed and chopped
1 Oxo Pot- Chicken or whatever you have!
Frylight
S&P

For the Ragoût, chop the pork into chunks, then add everything to a slow cooker and leave on medium for 4-5 hours. Leave the lid off for the last hour to thicken (my OH forgot and it was massively watery so put 2 tbsp Cornflour in)
Towards the end, put the potatoes in a large pan of water, season and par boil for 5-10 minutes. Preheat the oven to 220, dissolve a stock pot/cube in 300ml boiling water. Drain the potatoes and put back into the same saucepan after draining. Shake to "ruffle up the edges". Put into a roasting tin and pour the dissolved stock over the top. Spray the top with Frylight and cook for 30-45 minutes. Yum!

I do agree with what you've said on the target front, I just know me, and I will dilly dally around the 12s if I'm not careful (although I've never EVER got into the 12s at a SW group before) and then I normally give in, so got to try and keep focused. I'm also a bit worried about looking drawn because I'm quite long in my mid half and I have long legs too! Just keeping my eyes out, but hopefully not getting too OTT!

Ooh yes you are lucky with being funded for your course :) I quite fancy going to do Engineering but it wouldn't be funded and I have rent to pay so that idea will be shelved for a few years, hopefully I can build myself up in my upcoming post to be able to nip off to my local college or Leeds/York universities which are the closest to where I live, if they would let me. It all sounds totally wonderful :)

Ooo chicken tikka masala and rice, that certainly does sound very yummy. I hope you enjoyed it! You deserve it after your loss yesterday too! My OH cooked me dinner as he is off today and tomorrow so it's down to him! We had spiced chicken with cauliflower "rice" and mixed vegetables. Will post the recipe below. Very nice indeed, and so filling :D

Hope that you had a lovely evening!

Evening! How's things?

I've been so busy today between work and family stuff afterwards. Just collapsed into bed. We were gonna be late home so stopped at KFC for the little lady and all ended up eating. I had heard the pulled chicken rice box was 4.5 syns but it's been discontinued the server said so I got the original rice box and when I sat down to check syns it was 10.5 :( put me off right away. Even seeing them eat burgers and chips etc didn't make me jealous. I just felt annoyed that it was using so many syns lol! Wasn't even nice! So I didn't even eat half. Lesson learned.

I have managed to leave 13s and into 12s and was hoping this week to get to 12st or into 11s but don't think I'll manage it now! I defo think mini goals are much more realistic. Previously as soon as I reached 7lbs I'd get cocky n think I could have extra syns and before I knew it I'd give up. So determined not to this time. So feel free to bollock me when I admit to being naughty ha! I have lots of faith you'll make it to 12s easily this time. Your so focused and on plan.

I don't know about England but in Scotland we have SAAS and they fund our first 4 years at higher educationcourse. Do you not get anything like that below the border? So like when I did my nursing degree it was fully funded and I got a bursary that didn't get paid back. But I know other courses it's a student loan. Bursary counted as our wages in a way. Hopefully you get to do engineering at some point:)

Your dinner last night looked and sounded yummy. I love seeing ideas other folk think of. I end up stuck in a rut and that's why I get bored and stop.

Happy hump day! (Midweek btw not anything rude haha:p)

Hello!!

I hope that you're really proud of yourself in regards to the KFC, I would be, and it's good that you have drawn a line under it. Tomorrow is a new day :D I remember being so exhausted and busy and struggling with what to eat so I do sympathise!

Haha don't worry I will keep my eyes on you! I was always quite skint so really could have done without the money for classes etc, but have a bit more stability now. We both can do this and must not give in! You never know :) you may see 12 stone! You're still within Syns, right?

It's funny, I wondered if you were from Scotland! I noticed the 'wee' here and there. My OH is from Scotland, around the borders area! There are some funded courses, I think that there are a few in healthcare and when I was in sixth form which was in 2008/2009 Religious Studies had a bursary attached to it but I'm not sure what else! I am determined to get myself to Uni at some point, a definite long term goal :)

I must credit my OH with a lot of ideas regarding my meals, he likes to keep it good for me and mixes things up.... I have some input but he is extremely opinionated so I normally just put up and shut up.. Haha!

Happy hump day to you too, I said that at work last week and I got given the death stare by someone in the building  I don't think they understood it....

Hope you're chilling out now!

Your food processor looks like a posher version of mine. We only have 2 types of grate, knead, chop, emulsify, grind and slice.
And the usual blend.

A restaurant that isn't too far to walk from the city. That has high chairs. Maybe pub type food but nice quality, not too cheap.

Haha ours does that too, and also grates and cuts all of our fingers

Right I have a few suggestions!
There's Andy Annat's Green Room- on Montpellier Hill above the Blues Bar which is next door to Bettys. They do some lovely meats, burgers and food similar and also cater really well for kids! Andy Annat used to be a butcher on the same street as where my parents live. I remember him as a child; he became really popular as he served a lot of organic and different meats so went self employed and started doing BBQs, Hog Roasts etc and has set this up.

There's the Damn Yankee- this is an American Diner style restaurant so they serve ribs/burgers/steak/chilli/salads etc. This is nice and comfy, friendly. I went here as a kid with my brother and loved it. Sometimes nip here for Date Night! Good for both adults and kids. They also own another restaurant around the corner called Cattlemans Steak House- quite similar to DY but mainly steaks and steak based products! Another good one and child friendly! Cattlemans is behind Harrogate Theatre, and Damn Yankee is at the bottom of the Bus Station on Station Parade.

Will ask my OH and have a think about some others...

Okay, we are staying 2 nights so will check them out. As long as there is chips my daughters happy. She's a fruit and chip junkie. Been making a bowl of chopped fruit each afternoon and we sit together and eat it in. If I have the last slice of apple she steals it from my mouth lol

Morning!

I don't know about proud but I know I went to bed in a huff after my coffee lol. Was also scared I ate anything else. I was within syns though, even if I counted the full 10.5 (which I didn't eat but to be safe).

Yep I'm typical Scot, everything is 'wee' even going for a pee we call a wee (or as a kid its a wee wee haha). I'm around 10miles from Glasgow so I'm pretty much in between Glasgow and Edinburgh. I'm not much of a city girl though, I like to go visit but for being as close we don't go often. Strange how different funding can be though just by crossing a border! Uni is expensive enough without having to pay the fees etc so I guess we are really lucky up north :)

My OH is a good cook, he just doesn't cook often:(

Have a good Thursday, this is my friday this week love when my day off is a friday:D, Natalie x

I think that the DY/Cattlemans would be up your street for sure. Good and easy food with nice staff, a great atmosphere and lots of variety so it will all be good!!

Aww bless her :)

So you were in Syns, therefore I bet you will be absolutely fine!! I bet you'll do really well at weigh in!

Haha I love the Scottish accent. My OH's sort of comes in and out, but when we are up at his family's house it all comes out and I feel really out of place with my little Yorkshire accent haha! His family live roughly 40 minutes ish south of Edinburgh but closer to Berwick, from a tiny little village so they don't venture up to Edinburgh much! There's so many tiny villages near them that it was a bit of an eye opener when I first went up. I was talking to some of his cousins about the education system up over the border and it certainly is so different and you are very lucky indeed :) you have some fab unis up there too!!

I swear that men are deliberately temperamental! Ugh can't live with them or without them ;)

Ooo lucky you! Hope that you've had a lovely day!! Bet you're looking forward to having tomorrow off!!

Evening!

I think I have Sussed why my huff lasted so long, two weeks after my totm another visit seemed to surprise me today:mad: and I always put on when hormonal lol.

I giggled about your OH accent. I come from Lanarkshire so it's lots of small towns and villages here (and farms!). But my new work has employees from the Edinburgh hosp and Glasgow based hospital so there's lots of accents and I find when I speak to the east side folk I start to copy their accent without realising:oops: the say 'eh' a lot and I start to do it.. So embarrassing lol. One of our lung cancer consultant has a broad Yorkshire accent (a posh one) but she's really loud and some patients just look at her waiting for translation ha!

Your dinner looks yum. I had a late lunch so haven't fancied dinner. Only had a yoghurt and I even had to force that down. There's a first!

Are you nervous or excite about your last day tomorrow?

Oh crumbs hope you aren't feeling too icky with totm. Totally rubbish isn't it :(

I completely relate to the accent thingy! I'm originally from Leeds with my family from South Yorkshire, and their accents are extremely broad, but if I speak to someone in Manchester or similar I find that my accent comes out more as theirs is so strong!

Hope you managed to feel a bit more hungry :( I never fancy anything to eat when I get my totm it messes my stomach right up!

Brutally honestly? Couldn't wait to get out of there and get it off my CV etc. It's so corrupt :( and a right mess. Looking forward to next week in a big way!

Hope you've had a fab day off anyway :)
