Oh crumbs hope you aren't feeling too icky with totm. Totally rubbish isn't it :(

I completely relate to the accent thingy! I'm originally from Leeds with my family from South Yorkshire, and their accents are extremely broad, but if I speak to someone in Manchester or similar I find that my accent comes out more as theirs is so strong!

Hope you managed to feel a bit more hungry :( I never fancy anything to eat when I get my totm it messes my stomach right up!

Brutally honestly? Couldn't wait to get out of there and get it off my CV etc. It's so corrupt :( and a right mess. Looking forward to next week in a big way!

Hope you've had a fab day off anyway :)

Hey!

Well my day should have consisted of ironing, drying washing and general tidying but after hoovering me and my daughter lay on living room floor and spent full day there playing games, drawing, dancing etc. So wasn't successful house day but it was fun :)

Totally sad but think highlight of my day was ham salad sandwich I had earlier. First since being on SW and it was honestly so yummy! Going out for lunch and dinner tomorrow so it's gonna be a disaster:rolleyes: but these things happen! So much if my socialising is based around food hence weight gain but I'm definitely gonna try make sensible choices. I am however gonna have a big slice of home baking at lunch, it's best baking ever at the place we go and we only venture up once a summer so it's worth it:cool::p

What's on the cards for dinner tonight? I was going to make beef curry buy may try something lighter to attempt some damage control for tomorrow lol.

Aww that sounds like a fab and fun day!!! The housework and cleaning can always wait :D

Ooo your weekend sounds fabulous, I'm sure that it won't be too much of a disaster! I find myself automatically making different choices so I'm sure you will although it sounds like a wonderful treat :) I have tried to google the home baking thingy, is it a Scottish thing?! I assume it's something pastry related?

I was still quite full from lunch but we had pasta with spinach, leeks, and chillies! Then I had some frozen fruit too :)

I hope that you have a really wonderful weekend and enjoy it all!!

Lunch
Thai Spicy Beef Tom Yum Salad- served in a lettuce leaf with beef strips, Chillies, tomatoes, peppers, onions and a watery sauce
Szechuan Prawns with a Szechuan sauce (like oyster!) with garlic, ginger and mixed vegetables and rice noodles with scrambled egg cooked through it.
1 glass of wine 175ml (6)
Coffee in a cafetiere (black)

Pasta with spinach, leeks, garlic, onion and Greek yogurt with 40g reduced fat Red Leicester cheese HEA

I have no idea how much my lunch was Syns wise. Although I did pre pick, and I deliberately chose rice noodles. I didn't eat my biscuit with my coffee and everyone else had deep fried this and other stuff with nuts in. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself and don't think I did bad at all for my own leaving do!

Hi!

I am proper chuckling at you asking if home baking is a Scottish thing. It's basically just things baked at home rather than shop bought haha. So they have all sorts from carrot cakes, choco cake, strawberry tarts, Caramel shortcake, cheese cake, tiffin, sponges.... Ooh yummyyy. Home baking reminds me of wee grannies lol. My gran always had a tin full of home baked treats when we were little :D

My dinner was tuna baked potato salad but I didn't touch the potato or tuna really, by time I ate salad I was pretty stuffed. I also bought wrong tuna so after putting it in my potato I didn't want either:(

OH is off out and I've been in bed since 9 watching rubbish TV. I may venture onto Netflix and nod off watching something...

Enjoy your weekend xx

Weekend Plans:

Well I am up bright and early as my OH has gone to work. I need to get myself to my local Royal Mail depot to pick a parcel up, but it's ages away (boo) but at least it will be a good walk! I am also going to go to the gym for an hour- but be careful with my elbow as it's still really sore :/ then I am going for a walk around town and meeting OH for a coffee at lunchtime and another quick browse afterwards. Then I get the afternoon to myself.... Before doing a Roast Chicken with Potatoes and Veg for dinner!

Gym first before it gets too busy... Now to put my elbow in my ever so fashionable sling support thingy (ugh)

It would be very synful! I know I never eat dessert after our buffet cos we end up full. So I might even buy me and OH a treat to take away and have it with a cuppa tomorrow. Spread the syns lol! Enjoy the gym, hope your elbow survives it! I'm just getting ready and my daughter has turned bathroom into a swimming pool:( oh the joys!

Enjoy your day xx

So, I tried something a bit different just now, as I'm looking for different ways to eat my HEXB as I'm trying to avoid most gluten products.
I made this- Rhubarb.
The cooked weight amount for a HEXB is 500g. Goodness me. The purple bowl, plus my bowl (it also has 2 tbsp of Greek Yogurt in) made 500 and there is so much of it!!! Oooo it is so nice. Yum yum :)
Just rhubarb cut up, 200ml water, I put 3 tbsp sweetener in and that was it, with some fat free Greek yogurt, and my Jasmine Tea :D
Definitely going to be doing this again, saving the rest for later....

Well I did my roast chicken and also did a version of Delia Smiths Roast Potatoes with Rosemary and Garlic with SW cauliflower cheese which was lovely!!!
Managed to have some SERIOUS restraint with some Dairy Milk Tiffin (it's only available in Ireland) and I had 1/2 a bar for 7 Syns and have put the rest back in the cupboard for tomorrow. So nice and not something that I get very often (I only have 6 X 53g bars left, they're practically the only chocolate that I like!) and the rest of the Rhubarb :)
