Just been woken up by a "sonic boom" from an RAF Typhoon Jet going over Yorkshire. OH hid under the covers whilst I got up to investigate (typical)

Forgot to put my pics up!
Chicken Chow Mein with thick Rice Noodles followed by my frozen fruit and honey (yum)

Let's try again (zzzzz)

Ok. I have a few questions for you.

Do you ever weigh or measure your food? Like, when you have fruit in the morning or evening, do you measure out how much you have (either consciously or subconsiously!) or do you just put some in a bowl and get on with it? Same with veg and pasta etc when youre making something like the Chicken, Tomato and Spinach pasta bake you had the other day? Do you measure out stuff deliberately? and then do you measure out a portion for yourself? If not, and youre just eating to satisfy your appetite (as they tell you to) then youre nowhere near as greedy as I am :/ lol.

I know they tell you not to weigh or measure free and superfree foods but I really think I was eating too much. *sigh*

Your food sounds ( and looks) so yummy hun xxxx

Oh and do you drink water?

The only things I weigh are my HEAs and Bs and to be honest when my HEA is milk I never drink the full amount! I measure the full syn values.
I don't measure any free or Superfree food at all so I just put as much as I like and if I am overfaced or full it becomes tomorrow's lunch.

I think that if I am brutally honest the more I eat on SW the better I seem to do! Also I do drink a little bit of water, but not much. Just as and when! One of the main things I hear from people at SW is, is that they're never hungry :)

Hope this helps!

Hello :)

Thank you very much! I must say it is rather nice! A far cry from the appalling hotel meals I had when I used to be a live in member of staff. I definitely relish the cooking :)

Hope that you're well!

I hope that you enjoyed your salad! Exactly it's the perfect weather for salads (although I'm a bit mad and eat them all year round....)

Hope that you're having a fab day!

image.jpeg Picture of the day... I cannot rotate it though!! Can't wait to fill the fridge door up with more certificates... And to use my alcohol shelf for cooking as my OH can't drink due to his medication and if I have a glass of wine I feel like I have drank a full vat of the stuff (as I found out at the weekend...)

Two more pictures.
One a bit of a tip off/experiment...

My pictures keep appearing upside down :/

Salmon with mixed salad, homemade chips with cheese and 0% fat Greek yogurt.

Pudding.
Homemade "chocolate" pudding with frozen raspberries. The chocolate pudding is the mug in a cup recipe with a few additions.
Ingredients:
3x Eggs
1.5 tbsp Cocoa (1.5 Syns)
5 tbsp Sweetener
1 tsp Hazelnut Spread (1.5 Syns)

Whisk 3 eggs until frothy. Then add the cocoa, sweetener and spread, fold in and then whisk again. Microwave for 1 min and pour over fruit etc. I understand that this looks terrifically indulgent but I have had a horrendous day and I am on my own tonight and it is the only thing that has stopped me eating my own arm plus the whole of the sweet aisle in Asda :(

Had a bit of a nightmare day/couple of days.
Need somewhere to spout it, so here goes.

My health wasn't brilliant as a child and also in my teens. I caught a superbug when I was 17 and spent a few years fighting it off and also had a growth removed from the inside of my mouth from a nerve ending. I had issues with reoccurring tonsillitis and problems with lymph nodes, infections etc due to a weakened immune system.
I gradually rebuilt my health back up and regained some stability etc. Over the weekend, whilst brushing my teeth I noticed a lump on the back of my forearm above my elbow- the colour of a bruise. If I had looked down the back of my wrist it wasn't visible from the naked eye. I pressed around it, and it gave me pins and needles.
As it was the bank holiday weekend I put a wheatbag on it and nipped to Superdrug pharmacy the next day to see if I needed to put anything on it, but the pharmacist was worried as he thought it may be on a nerve ending and a possible blockage, I also told him about previous issues and told me to book an appointment on Tuesday morning.
So I did, and they wanted to see me ASAP. I went yesterday, and they measured it. they said it wasn't linked to my lymph nodes but were concerned about the pins and needles, pain, colour etc and also wanted me to have my bloods done to eliminate anything. So I went this morning to have those done.
I told my mum about it all, and she said she had noticed that bruise on my elbow and had seen the mark for years, although not as profound or coloured.
I am out of my mind with worry, I feel stupid for worrying but not sure what else to think. Got another appointment on 20th. Got Ibuleve gel which was recommended but it's doing nothing at all.

Apologies for spouting- this place is my safe haven! I always have 5000 things in my head at once, what with my OH and his health issues which are never ending, his dreadful memory problems and trying to balance everything I need somewhere to unload!

Apologies about that post from last night.
However I just needed to write it down and get it out of my head.
Feel tonnes better and a lot less worried today!

Just boiling my eggs ready for my boiled egg and avocado salad, yum!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but oil is no longer a HEB. This changed in the last 6 months or so. Food looks good!
