What are we eating today?

ive not overdone the carbs at all, if anything under eaten but i really struggle at the weekends when im not working,

at work i have times when i HAVE to eat, (before work, lunch and when i get home)

at the weekend, i try and have a lie in, miss brekkie, then start the housework and can work straight pass lunch, today i did some hairdressing for a few hours, got home at 5..then started laying the carpet in my bedroom, i only stopped putting everything back in as i remembered i had no wine and had to scoot out..so only really ate as i had been to tesco!!

no hunger pangs or anything but i KNOW im telling my body that its not going to get fed on a regular basis and it will hold onto the fat! ggrrrr

what a catch 22 :(

Cathy, did it make a difference?

Don't think so Cheryl, was really reall nice! Hubby even liked it so swiped 2 pieces and I've got to make another one tomorrow (not eaten whole thing tonight theres some left) so I can put in fridge to take to work on Monday etc.

Took a couple of pics so will put them on here when I figure out how to! (love being married to the computer geek lol!)

Lol. Well done anyway Cathy love. It is tasty.
Missy you are so not alone. Im worse in a way as I still have to make breakfast lunch and dinner for Oliver but I could still quite happily miss a meal or 2. Ive started eating a slice of meat so at least ive had something.

My OH is a SAHD whilst i work 40+ hrs a week,
he sorts the boys brekkie, lunch and dinner,
i only have to worry about cooking my own as he is really good at sticking to my shopping list ;)

but i know what you mean, i made the boys lunch today and just didn't/couldnt be arsed to make myself something.....so didnt!

it's hard not to pass diet tips or thoughts onto the children though,
mine know im dieting, they said they can notice im losing weigh, my youngest (8) said im not fat........im comfy :D

Ahh bless, children have such a way with words dont they. Oliver is too young but i had a thought today. I dont really like Oliver eating pizza and rubbish foods but he loved the pizza i made yesterday with a cauli base. More veg and very well hidden although im lucky he loves his fruit and veg but things like ice cream, i know exactly what went into mine.

cheryl, i refuse to pass on my crappy overweight problems onto them, they are boys so im hoping they wont find such an issue as girls would

They are drilled at school about healthy eating, my eldest is a sports buff so anything he eats gets burned anyway, my youngest is not so sporty but is still very slim at the moment,

The way i see it, they can have a pizza or a macdonalds on occasion, its fine, i believe if i stop them having something, they will only gorge on it the minute they can get it themselves.

they enjoy all food, even my low carb, but i wont push a diet on them, (like my low carb, or a low fat) unless they medically needed it.

such a difficult situation to be in, my sisters eldest is a little overweight, her youngest isnt and they eat the same???? but my sis has had to restrict treats for both of the girls to try and get the eldest to lose weight without letting her know that she needs to cut down, the fear is obviously an eating problem and as she is only 9 going on 17 lol its not what you want your children to worry about is it? xxx

Here we go this is my attempt at Cheeseburger Pie. Forgot to put the mayo in it but think it turned out ok. Certainly tasted good anyways! :D

Me and my sis were same growing up, I've always been "the chubby one" but being the eldest I wasn't allowed to leave the table until my plate was cleared but my younger sis was allowed to leave half her plate.

I don't have kids yet but I'm terrified they'd end up like me. My OH has always been skinny and so is his family so weight is judged quite alot there.

hopefully by the time you are having children, your weight issue will be resolved and there will be no bad habits to pass onto your children xxx

Yeah I'll get to goal then I'll get pregnant lol that'd be my luck!

No really I've been doing some serious self help over last few months to get myself out of the yo-yo cycle and get slim forever.

i lost 4.5 stone to get married, within 6 weeks i was expecting, due to the strict diet, in my head i said 'no need to diet now, eating for two'

5.5 stone later i had my son :(

Ouch that sounds like me, got married 08/08/08 (did the date on purpose) went from 15st2lb to 11st10lb to get in wedding dress of my dreams, went on honeymoon ate like a pig and carried on from there. Jan 09 was 15st11lb, got to 14st on WW by Aug 09, went on hols and never went back and it wasn't til I had my photo taken on xmas day at 16st8lb (my heaviest ever) that I realised I'd put on some weight! So it was back to the drawing board on Lipotrim but Atkins is the only "long term plan" I've done and known exactly what I would be doing to goal and beyond.

I think as long as you are clever with the kids they wont pick up on it. I am totally scared of water since a friend drowned when i was 15/16 and ive not been able to swim since. I do not let Oliver see this at all. Some children can be very fussy with fruit and veg (mine not 1 of them) and things like the cauli pizza would be a fantastic way of getting them to eat veg. Oliver has what i call junk food treats too. Mcdonalds probably only once or twice a year as i cant stand the stuff. I dont want him to worry about his weight but at the moment if he has carrots and peas with some chips on a plate he'll eat the veg. Lol abnormal 3yr old!
I too am planning to get to target and after my hol start trying for a baby. I went up to 14st last time and hoping if i start off smaller i'll stay smaller! It will be much healthier for me and baby anyway. When pregnant i'll follow the maintainance programme. I still cant believe that i still have 6 easter eggs and ice cream here. 2 of my big vices and i really dont want to eat them.

Morning everyone!!

B - 3 scrambed eggs with a slice of corned beef mixed in.

D- Chicken breast, stuffed with mattesons sausage, wrapped in bacon with cauli mash and spinach.

T - MIM with something, not sure what yet.

Am thinking of creating a beef cobbler tommorow using sliced buttered MIMs as the topping, browning them off in the oven.

Where do you live hun? Sorry if ive already asked you but brain is like mush! You mentioned Edenbridge the other day so im thinking your near me? Im in one of the little villages between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells
