:O cucumber mint raita is my fav!!!! the one in the shops is quite high in carbs, is yours home made? can you give me the recipe??? xx

i have had....1 coffee so far today. (bad girl)
 
Reckon you could use a greek yogurt & that would drop the carbs too... will put into my carb counter & work it out.... BRB. xx

Cucumber and Mint Raita


A great little side dish that works well with virtually all Indian Dishes, balancing the heat with something a little cooler. Also makes a good, low fat, party dip.

Nutrition Information Per Serving

Ingredients

  • 6” piece/360g Cucumber, finely diced
  • 2 tsp dried mint
  • 150ml Natural Low Fat Yoghurt
Method

  1. Mix the cucumber and mint together, set to one side for 10 minutes or so.
  2. Stir in the yoghurt just before serving

L - carvery, was lovely despite not having roasts, stuffing,gravy oohh the list is endless but im not bitter!!:D

Loads of water and no alcohol despite being surrounded by beer swigging footie fans!
 
Met up with some girlfriends from work today so wasn't sure what I was going to be having today but managed to find something on the restaurant menu that was totally atkins friendly and was gorgeous,..... shame the wine wasn't as atkins friendly!!! :p

B - 2 low carb sausages and an atkins bar
L - 2 low carb sausages cold
D - chargrilled chicken with bacon and red onion (left most of onion) on bed of fancy lettuce and cucumber with house dressing - I asked them to leave the dressing and have some mayo instead so was lovely.
S - Bit of lamb mince

W - 4 litres, 2 teas and 2 glasses of Rosé wine...... and was a complete lightweight!!! I was aiming for just the one small glass but I have these wicked friends that keep filling my glass! :eek:

Morning everyone, it should be against the law to be up on a Sunday any earlier than 8am but our Brass Band is playing outside this morning for the local church's fun run........ its raining here so will be fun emptying my horn of water every 5mins by hey ho.

After the do I'm off to Grandparents for sunday lunch and because they know I'm on a diet they've been very kind and not minded that I bring my own portion of veg with me as they always have peas and sweetcorn etc so I've weighed and cooked 100g spinach and 150g cauliflower to take with me and re-heat there.... May still be difficult as my Nan is exactly the same as Mrs Doyle from Father Ted (aye go on go on go on ya will ya will!)

So todays meals are planned as such:

B - leftover lamb mince from last night
D - not sure what meat yet but with cauli and spinach (she may try and force gravy down my neck but its home made with meat juice and stock so shouldn't be too bad?)
Have already said no to dessert but said I can have some cheese and celery when they have cheese and biscuits.
D - doubt I'll be able to eat anything else for rest of day!

W - will be 5 litres
E - if I can move after going to nannans I'll do shake weight and see how long I can huff and puff on the cross trainer!

Was a bit naughty today cause of the footy evening. I ate all Atkins friendly food but not induction friendly!!

W - 6 pints
E - 3.6 mile run
S - dry roasted peanuts 10nc, whiskey with sugar free mixer.

today i have had breakfast!!!!! (shocker on a weekend i know lol)

B - 2 bacon, 2 saus (not sure of carbs but they seemed very meaty, not much additives) scrambled egg, mushrooms, tomato
L - half a mim with CI cream
D - home roasted gammon with pak choi and 2 eggs
S - half a mim plus coffee later on

D - about 3 litres, not really enough for me
E - nothing yet - chucking it down here, fingers crossed it dries up a bit later for a walk with dogbert - usual 5 miles completed in the rain
A - there is some dry white in the fridge calling my name, might have one before bed....

Went to my mums for dinner today so had more non inductions things!! Bless she'd brought lots of berries with extra thick double cream, couldn't resist.
