My brother put a comment on one of my photos on facebook that I took the day I finished tfr for good and said looks like i've put on a few lbs ... :( I need to get this stone off asap now :sigh:

I'm tempted to go back to refeed principles but im scared of doing anything drastic to my eating with the 1/2 being so close and knowing that what im doing now is allowing me to do the long runs - what to do what to do?!!!!!aaaaaaaaaahhhh :giggle: :rolleyes:

I'd say do exactly as you're doing now till the run is over and then re-evaluate and decide what to do ... xxx
 
Yup think that's what I'm guna do and I'm 99% certain come the Tuesday after the 1/2 I'll be on 2 meal bars and 1 meal for the weeks leading up to my holiday (although got a BBQ on the 5th & wedding on the 7th) and still being able to run :) not sure how much I can get off as it'll only be 3weeks.

Had a packet of sunbites at my friends tonight too so total cals for the day 1,290 :)
 
Yes I agree with Jan. Eating properly for your 1/2 is more important right now. You can deal with the extra few lbs when your done. Totally get what you mean about TOTM munchies too! Hope it gets better soon!
 
I agree with your approach too. Don't make any changes prior to the race. Review afterwards and take it from there.
 
Phew - finally got to my thread after all the chatting going on on here today :p

I feel much better today re the munchies. Always the same, first couple of days is horrendous but then i'm ok.

Had a lovely long sleep. 7-2:30, up for a pee then back to bed till 4:15! :D Thats my lay in for the week lol Long run tomorrow, up early friday (got a shift friday evening too) as i've training saturday morning and have the night off my actual job so have to get myself into day routine, then out saturday night after training, which means up early sunday as I never sleep when i've been drinking ... busy bee the next couple of days.

Change of menu to friday too - going to my friends and shes doing salmon wellington with vegetables and were attempting to make whoopie pies.

Wednesday 11th May

B- 2 sm slices toast with butter, banana, orange juice (353)

L- minted lamb grill steak, asparagus, brocolli, poached egg, boiled baby pots (452)

D- meal bar (220)

*picked at 2 slices of ham (42)

By the way Tan. I got the week I'm off wrong - it's the second week in July not the first. I'd have sworn it was the 1st but there we are. However I don't think I'm going to do the Devon leg I was considering. You'll be at work/in bed the day/s it would be and also the cousin I was going to visit in Kingsbridge is coming up to me this weekend to attend our family dinner with the Australian cousins on Sunday. To see her again so soon would be overkill because we normally go YEARS! Literally! Instead I'm going to try to see 2 other cousins in High Wycombe before going over to Doncaster to a friend's if that's convenient for her.

I'm just waiting to hear back from Mary as I'm hoping to start off with a night with her, her shifts permitting. She is going back to work this week and will check and let me know :) Fingers crossed! :) xx
 
Ahhh ok sweetie :) The first weekend im free in july isnt untill the 16th/17th anyhow but im sure we will sort something again soon xxx

It would be nice to come up to you though, its just time and money especially after my holibobs as get this ....... were starting to save for a place of our own :eek:!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol xx
