Tanya, the gain may not be so bad. Don't stress over it. Just get back on track and try cutting out the naughty snacks for a while.
I'm sure you will love getting back to running again. I hope the knee will be well healed after your holiday.

I don't feel i've put on much but know I probably have!!

Calorie counting tomorrow and back to running 3x a week. Starting small, 3/4milers and going to up it each week or just see how I feel on the day. I have bought a knee support so will be running with that on. If I feel I can go more mileage/time then I will. I feel a little deflated about my running now, only 6weeks ago I ran 13.1 miles but now I reckon i'm going to struggle to even get to half of that. I know part of it is my knee and its done good to rest but still can't help feeling a bit down about it.

Monday 11th July

B- 2slices wm toast with butter

L- wafer thin ham, lettuce, cucumber, toms, 2slices applewood cheese, lf coleslaw, 1/2 tsp garlic mayo

*1mc donalds chicken nugget & bite of double cheeseburger

*1 caramel choux bun

D- mushroom rissotto with side salad

Work: nectarine & snack a jacks

 
Tan I understand why you feel down about the running but you really will soon build that back up again and I wouldn't mind betting it won't be half as bad as you think ... OR the gain you're expecting.

Bad case of post holiday blues imho ;)

Night was ok I managed to take 2hours toil so left at 03:50.

General sensus on the rf is that I should eat the cals I burn if I'm having a 1000 deficit but then some have made me feel stupid and said basically 'if I wana be an athlete eat train & sleep like one'. Thing is I know that doesn't make me lose weight!!!

But I'm going with my instinct- calorie count 1,289 a day (worked put from bmr calculator).

First run today after 3weeks aiming for 3miles :) will update food later too.
 
Good luck with the run. Instinct is a good thing to follow, you'll know from how u feel if you ain't eating enough, time will tell x x
 
Thanks Lis :) I always tell people to go with their instinct so i'll listen to my own advice for once and you're right the body will let me know if it needs more :D

Run wasnt too bad. Physically I felt fine, I even did the first mile in 10mins but the 1.5miles run back was tough because of the heat - its so hot here today, also I had a stitch. I stopped 3times on the run back but not for long about 10-15seconds each but other than that I felt fine which I am pleasently (sp?) surprised with :D

Time overall was slower than average but i'm not too worried about that right now I know in the next few weeks that i should be back to normal :fingerscrossed:

Thanks molly :) Im racking my brains here as to what I can have that isn't 'bad' for me that makes my calories atleast 1,200 today :( can add a boiled egg to dinner but still need a good 250cslories after that. any ideas??
 
How about a yoghurt with an apple chopped into it? Or some cheese on crackers or oatcakes.
 
Already got a yogurt included .... oatcakes :hmm: might take some to work to have with my tuna.

Woke up today with a text from my friend asking if I wanted to go for a walk I said sure give me 10mins to eat my breakkie! LOL So we went for a nice stroll, a good 2.5miles i'd say as we walked some of my running route :)
