I haven't got a clue what's going on here Tanya. Did you give some advice that someone didn't like? I can't find anything cos if it's been removed obviously I wont but what's happened? If people don't want to hear varying opinions they shouldn't ask for replies.
 
Yup, apparantly the person in question didnt like my advice and my actual reply was ok its sounds as though you already made up your mind about what you wanted to do before asking for advice. p.s drugs are not cool.

Im not sure what part she took offence to, i did message her explaining it but that got a snotty reply also. I then had a mod messaging me about it. Its so so petty. I really am hacked off with the place. You guys on this side are great but clearly we 'experienced' members arent worthy enough because we don't condone 'cheating' .... BS!

Anyways - yesterday was a fab day. Mary, again it was so lovely to actually speak to you on the phone!!

I'm in a mood where I cant be bothered to do anything lol so will write my food up and work out the cals in a bit once ive had some food and check all your threads in a bit :)

We all give opinions from time to time that others may misinterpret.
I know it hurts when someone is offended by something I've said that was never intended as anything other than helpful. It's one of the dangers of social media unfortunately.
Hope the week goes well otherwise.

I think I know what this was......the chew and spit thing.......correct me if I'm wrong.

You said nothing out of line at all hun. I much prefer this side of things. Honestly there where times on TFR were one of more of you guys gave it too me straight but thats whats needed. Dont ask for advice if you cant handle it.

I really cant be bothered to go work out the cals for yesterday. I know it was over though.

Got to do a 10miler today. Really not feeling like it but it has to be done. I know once i'm past the 3.5m mark i will be fine.

Yep, it's lovely here too.

Did my 10mile run!!!!!!!!!! 1hr58:43. I can't believe I did it. I know its only an extra mile but when I hit the 8.5mile mark I was beginning to struggle. I was out of fluids and I was soooo thirsty. I think it was the sports drink flavour I had, orange, as with the berry ones ive never experienced thirst.

My pace was slower, which was to be expected. But race day is so close now, just over 9 weeks! I've got to start upping the pace if I want sub 2hr30! At todays pace i'm going to be 5:37mins over. Im going to sit down this evening and read the training programme that came with my alzheimers running pack :)

Sorry to ramble guys :giggle:
 
Jolly well done to you. You have plenty of time to shave those minutes off by the time race day comes along. Great job!!
 
Fantastic Tanya, that's amazing.......re your increased thirst, could it just be the fact that the weather is so much warmer?

I defo think it was the drink Sandra as I kept having to spit as my salava was really thick & gloopy (soz if tmi) will get the berry one next week see how that affects me and if no improvement then it'll have to be the warmer weather.

Atleast there are like 4 water stops on race day lol
 
Lovely! It could be an awful lot warmer by race day too.......you could also get your family to pass bottles to you ts pre-arranged stops if there aren't enough official water points.......that way you can drink what you want, when you want:D
 
Lol!! I've told them they have to be at the finish line nowhere else! I have read a tip of pinning some gummi bears to trousers for a bit of a sugar hit if needed which I think I might do!! :p

I have to admit that sometimes I put a can of diet Red Bull in my water bottle if I'm feeling particularly knackered but still want a good workout.......

Will google gummy bears:D

I have to stick up for Tanya (SUMMERGURL) in this instance..............I can easily too cancel my membership in Minimins.

Last i say on the piece........but support for Tanya 100%

Support and advice are always welcome when given unconditionally with no strings attached but when a member gives their advice and another member ignores it then that is their prerogative.

Your good advice is never wasted as it remains in your posts for others to read who do appreciate your advice and experience.

Members are free to speak their mind on a subject as long as it is done in a respectful manner.

Personally attacking and being rude when someone does not agree with or ignores your opinion is not acceptable...

Below are a few examples of summergurl's behaviour that is not in keeping with the ethos of MiniMins and does nothing to help keep MiniMins a friendly and supportive place.

Belittling someone for their views and then getting personal is not acceptable.


You clearly came back to LT as you ate the wrong types of food and more than likely too much of them. Not everybody will come back to LT because they have eaten a few carbs.
