Today did knock me hard - I still feel guilty 8hours later but I will do it on Thursday, I have to!

I've just munched some strawberries & 3 oatcakes with peanut butter :doh:
 
Good luck for your run on Thursday. I'm sure you will do the full route. Stevie is probably right about your system being a bit sluggish.

Oh Tan don't get down! You've got to spin it - you've never done that before so instead of feeling a failure, be proud that you never gave into temptation to stop early before! That said I think it's a fab idea to change route so you don't pass the car! you've proven u can do it so focus on that.... Tis a mere blip!
 
I woke up more positive today but now i'm in a right pi$$y mood :sigh: can't be totm as after almost 4weeks its finally gone & if it comes back within the next 4weeks i'm not going to be happy.

Thought i'd better have a decent dinner this evening as i'm preparing the body for the 11miler tomorrow! I'm sure having some pasta or something in work once a week isnt going to hurt.

Wednesday 20th April

B- 3egg omelette with 2slices thin ham & a (big!) pinch of grated cheese. hp sauce.

L- baked chicken breast, lettuce, cucumber, boiled baby pots, beetroot.

*meringue nest & muller light yog.

D- 100g cooked pasta, 1/2 tin tuna, sweetcorn, elf mayo, lettuce.

S- 2 squares cadbury caramel
2oatcakes & pb
Slice of cheese

Edit: Just been having a right old mooch around the runners forum and can see loads of posts about people running their first 1/2 or full mara and advice telling them to stop focusing so much on time. This is what I have to do. Time, obviously is important but I need to relax and enjoy my training. Race day will be an achievement itself.

Pep talk over :) sucking it up as of tomorrow!

Sounds like sound advice to me .... Personally I think for the first one the aim should be to finish - b*gger the time. Subsequent ones you may then want to focus on improving your time as you know you can finish. (Says she - the expert on exercise :giggle:) xx
 
Hungry :( even though I've polished off 2litres of water already today - just munched 2 oatcakes & pb & a slice of cheese. Pb all gone now!! :)
 
Uh-Oh! Good job the pbs gone now methinks ;) ... wonder why you're hungry? If you are genuinely hungry you should eat but still I wonder why? :eek: xx

Indeed it is :( And then the bank hols go and bug*er it up again .. although to be fair I am working fri, sat and sun so the only day i'll have off will be monday so food shouldnt be too bad .... she says :p lol

Off to work now, can't wait for 02:00 for my pasta lol

Okay ta ... hope you have a good'un. I'm not working this weekend but I am on next weekend. I don't mind though because it means I don't start till friday night which means I'll be able to watch the wedding :) xx

What time is the wedding on next week?
Think I'll be up early anyhow so will be able to watch it too :)
 
The actual service starts at 11am!! Didn't know that, I won't get my 'starting work tonight' lie-in if I want to see people arriving at the Abbey! (which I do ;)) xx
 
wow it is hot hot today!!! Hopefully there will be some shade along my route today but I can't see there being much past the 2mile mark :eek:

I'm taking some jelly beans with me today pinned to my trousers for if i need a bit of a boost. Will try not to have them though don't want to create that habit but they will be there incase.

Thursday 21st April

7.5mile run (1:29:12 pace 11:53min p/m)

B- porridge made with s.s milk & spoon sugar

L- grilled pork chop, boiled baby pots, lettuce, cucumber, beetroot, cheese, garlic mayo.

*wotsits
*22jelly beans

D- small white crusty roll with tuna, sweetcorn & elf mayo filling.

S- sports drink whilst running

What another massive failure. Managed 7.5miles ran out of fluids and phoned my grandma to come get me and bring a big bottle of water. I'm such a baby.

What an earth am I guna do? It's 5weeks untill race day!!!!!!

I know I can run 10miles so whyyyyyyyy can't I do it??? Surely the heat can't be having that much of an affect on me!!!

My nan would be so dissapointed that i gave up & I feel like I'm letting those of you who have donated so far down.

Tanya I don't know about the weather with u but it was 26 today in Cardiff - no way could I run in that heat!!! Seriously don't be so hard on ur self x
