10st10lbs' Diary - been away for far too long!

Yay to a good day. Your doing well Hun. I think meals like breakfast still little but u have come a long way in a few days

Tis my own fault, I procrastinate with getting out of bed until it's too late to do anything, then have to rush around... Today felt like a big breakfast but I wasn't satisfied - I don't know what I want to have but cereal, egg, beans, toast, nothing feels like it's cutting it! xxx

so who was this that asked you out for lunch? :fingerscrossed:

A friend! I don't think there's anything there, infact I really hope there isn't as I'm in no position to be anything other than friends with a guy right now... I wouldn't feel comfortable at all in a relationship, I have the 'if I can't be with him then I don't want to be with anyone' thing going on right now... and probably will have for a long time! He is a nice guy though, quite smart and attractive and funny and kind... I just can't imagine dating him! xxx

Looks like you had a busy day yesterday, but you managed to stick to plan, so well done!
Also curious about the guy who you had lunch with :)
You are too good with the Mikados...I could just scuff them in one go. Also think in Asda Alpen Lights are a bit cheaper than Tesco.

Busy busy busy, but felt normal... Yet strangely different at the same time? Was speaking to a friend in the afternoon and mentioned that I had a strong feeling about my ex being back in Manchester... and I was right, he came back last night... Earlier today I had 4 missed calls and a text from him, so rang back and it was a strange conversation, there were boundaries being set and little snipes going back and forth, and then he cut the call which is fair enough, he had to go, but I had the urge to text him and fight my corner about whatever we were kind of arguing about at the time, but I didn't, and he didn't get back in contact either... Then...

I ate 10 Mikados. My weakness for the day, but I won't let it get me again. I'm starting to feel really controlled and restricted with my syns, nothing feels worth spending them on and free/superfree foods bore me. There's something I want but I don't know what?

Went to Asda but forgot about Alpen Lights - just gonna try searching the pound shops on Stockport Rd or Farmfoods, they usually have offers on... But got some Ryvita Wholegrain Crackerbreads, so hoping they may have the same effect. Don't want to spend syns putting stuff on them! What is wrong with me? Nutella and Philadelphia both sound so appealing but I have big flashing numbers in my head, even 1.5 syns for 30g EL Philly hurts!

Off to cuddle up in bed with the end 4 eps of How I Met Your Mother Season 2 while Season 3 downloads... Must. Hide. Mikado.

Assalamu alaikum sis - I have been reading your diary and i noticed you recently completed Ramadhan while fasting and following sw? mashaAllah you done well. I didnt fast cos I was bfeeding (and still am) baby will will be 6 months in December so chances are I will be making my fast in January - the days are shorter which will hopefully make it easier but I was just wondering if you had any tips for me?

Wa alaikum asalaam sis!

Congratulations on your baby, such a blessing mA. Fasts will be much shorter in Jan - lucky you! I don't really have any tips that are sticking out in my mind... I would say remembering your water is definitely important, and try to break the fast with some fruit - dates are quite high in syns, the average one weighs 28g and is 2.5 syns, though I don't know if you will be having them as the time is kind of out for them... Same goes for fried foods - if no one else in your house is fasting while you are, there isn't really any reason to be frying foods so you should be able to avoid that! Ermmm... I would say treat it as a normal SW day, leave the type of day (ie Green, Red, EE) open until you break your fast, so have free, superfree and healthy extras in the morning. Weetabix probably filled me up the most. I found the more I ate in the morning, the more hungry I was throughout the day, so don't try to overcompensate because it's only you who will suffer. InshaAllah your fasts will go well! There was also another thread on it, Fasting & SW... Have a click, have a read :)

hey hun how are you? you're not eating very much by the look of things! how about some SW crisps? ;)

Met up with a friend today, we went out for like a month a couple of years ago? We have been brilliant friends, always, and are on the same uni course but hardly ever see each other. I changed my outfit four times this morning to go for maximum WOW effect, as I was going to fish for compliments - LOL, no shame!... OK, maybe a bit! - but then went for the least flattering option because it was warmer and comfier and just felt like the safest choice. So about twenty minutes into the conversation, he says 'Don't take this the wrong way yeah, but have you been working out?' and I go 'Ummm.. no... I just walk, a lot. But I've lost 1.5st ' and his eyes popped out of his head! And then he said he would ring my ex and tell him he was out of his mind for leaving me - woohoo! Not that he will, lol, but it's a nice thought

Hey beautiful! I'm well thank you, just not very hungry after the overload yesterday :) SW crisps sounds LOVELY but doing Success Express today and can't snack on free foods... It's OK though, cause it's dinner time sooooooooooooon :D xxx

Had a very restless night, tossing and turning and not fully sleeping between each toss and turn. Senses half on as I was sleeping in my little brother's room and he tends to wander off during the night if you're not on full alert. But he stayed asleep, alllll night. I woke up around what I thought must have been 7ish, but it was 3, and couldn't get calm... Today is going to be an interesting day :( x

Oh dear. Big hugs and hope for a good day regardless.

18 syns isn't that high, just 3 syns above 15 syn recommendation, ie an extra alpen light bar! I wouldn't worry about it :) I alway thought Katsura curry is high syn therefore haven't ha any for a long time. If it's just 4 syns then I'll ask my hubby to make some. He loves it but because I'm on sw we haven't had it for a long time. Is that a low fat version you're making, and how do you do the katsu? Baking?

Good on ya:D

It was well worth it! And I did walk absolutely loads, still tired :( Didn't get the best night's sleep again, missed both my lessons this morning... Another early start tomorrow aswell! xxx

Horray i see food before 12pm and i see much better, wtg girl :)

:) Go me! I double-checked the time as I was eating my breakfast this morning to make sure it was before 12pm for you :) xxx

Trying not to go over syns today, and also trying not to do too much body magic! I still crave Alpen Light bars a LOT! Must must must get some soon :)

I had it at this restaurant called Rice. So it's served with the plain boiled rice and it was just chicken breast, no skin, coated with breadcrumbs, most which I picked off, then grilled, and then a little bit curry sauce over it. It's on their calorie controlled menu, so when I minused the chicken and rice calories from the meal (as they are free) and we estimated the breadcrumbs syns were maybe equal to a slice of bread, so 6 syns, it left me with 4 syns... I don't like estimating but it was a friend's birthday and I didn't want to be the loser with my Diet Coke! :( Hehe...
