Hi everyone - well done to all the losers ! Autumn it's great to see you back ! I'm (as of today) back to good old WW ! It def works best for me. I thought cal counting might be good for me but I'm getting concerned about how much sugar and fat I'm consuming ! I'm now 11.4 when I wanted to be 10 by now ! My starting weight on here in JAN was 11.5 so I've lost ONE pound now !! FFS! What an idiot I am. Not going to dwell. I've kicked my arse. Best I can hope for now is to eat well for the remaining 1.5 weeks till my hols so I feel less bloated etc. I'm STILL ONE STONE SIX down from last year so alls not bad lol. I'm now determined I will be at goal for my birthday in November or hopefully before that !!

1st 6 pounds down from last year is fab! I know your disheartened by what you have lost this year, but don't lose sight of that bigger picture you have done great! Hope we works for you, it was great for helping me lose the bulk of my weight, I just find that I've tried so many diets that I'm used to them all so get complacent so quickly, I swear the person who works out how to bottle willpower and motivation will be a billionaire!

Ps your hair looks so shiny and pretty in your pic!

Yes I'm sure it was worse but cowardly I hid from the scales until I'd had about a week back on plan - then it was down to 5lbs - so I can cope with that!!

I don't think that's cowardly, I think it's the right thing to do sometimes because I know if I jump on the scales and the number is reeeeally bad, I eat to console myself lol

Hi lost 2lbs so my total is now 25lb it's amazing how it all adds up only 3lbs and I'll get my 2 stone award ! I have 7 more SW weigh ins before my holiday so I should get there any more would be a nice bonus I'd be so happy with 1lb a week which would bring me closer to the 10s !!! Good luck and well done everyone x

Amazing, well done you!

I wore a skirt last sat that fitted lovely then ate sooooo much crap, fast food etc allll week, in full on binge mode that when I went to wear it last night it was cutting me in two. Ridiculous! I think it's fair to say that all the jeans that got moved back into my wardrobe because they finally fitted will be making their way out of it again soon lol

I used my pedometer today and it's quite scary how little steps I do. I know they aren't accurate but I want to use it even as a guideline. I was doing my housework etc today and took my dog on an hour long walk and I'm still only at 8500 and I usually do significantly less movement than that so it goes to show that I really need to up the walking. I checked one of my weightloss things and need to lose 2.4 pounds a week to reach target for mid October which is what I originally wanted, can't see it happening now at all but I'm reluctant to change it since I think it will make me even more complacent

I hate losing weight!! (As in the process, not the actual numbers dropping lol)Worst of it is that everyone says maintaining is harder, so if I'm struggling this much with losing, I dread to think what il be like when I am trying to just sts lol

I'm the same with exercise Autumn and don't do anywhere near enough.

Rather than put extra pressure on yourself to try get to target by October, could you not break it down and aim for smaller goals? I find that helps with mindset. If you are wanting to lose 2.4lbs a week and not getting the loss then you will be disappointed and more likely to say sod it whereas if you were to aim for say just 1lb a week, which would still be a good loss overall, it would be more achievable and would help to keep you more motivated maybe?

It's not easy hun I know xxx

Love that you are excited for weigh in, it's great when you feel like that!

My original goal was 1lb a week but now I have faffed about so much it's gonna take ages that way, but you are right in what you say, if my goal is too high and I don't meet it there is a chance I could feel worse. I'm wondering if I just break it into five pound chunks and don't give myself a time limit on it, just focus on losing five pounds, then when that's done moving onto the next five pounds etc, so all the goals are short term rather than thinking too far ahead.

That sounds like a great plan to me :)

I agree with Sammy - that does sound like a good idea - the numbers abso - flipping - lutely do my head in - that's why my goal weight's a bit higher than my BMI - but don't care - if I ever get there that's it!! Don't want to shove it down ur throat but wd u consider changing ur goal weight even if it's temporary? Sermon over lol!!

To be honest I think I'm getting so hung up on the final goal that I'm not focusing in losing weight at all as I'm just seeing that end number.i think I'm safer scrapping the goal altogether and just focusing on getting the numbers down

Yes, I do think it's easy to concentrate far too much on the end result. Lately I have only been concentrating on getting to 10st, the other stone will wait in the background until I'm in a position to tackle it and I've found it much better that way. Give it a go Autumn, see how you get on xx

I actually think even just posting here helps me get in the right frame of mind,if I do it regularly enough,so fingers crossed I can find some motivation!

Allo all, back again with tail between my legs and (I expect!) at least a 10lb gain after weeks of binging and a holiday binge. I've been avoiding the thread as I went off the rails for several weeks in a row and wouldn't face up to it. Now our holiday has now been and gone I want to get serious again.

Plan for now is Slim Fast and pilates in hopes to get a good loss going and will get the awful start weight again tomorrow (it is going to be baaaaaaad!)

Cat I could have written that post myself, we are totally in the same boat, we will brave the scales tomorrow together lol. I'm going to report my weight tomorrow and update the list even if it means my loss for the year is zero, no point deluding myself that I'm doing better than I am. I totally want to start Pilates again too, I was loving it, and I dint know what happened to cause me to stop!

Well done for coming back!! Hope u had a good hol - I too have been hiding from the scales foll a month's overeating - didn't face the truthj till I been sort of on plan for a fortnight - then scales showed a 5lb gain - but I bet the 'true' was nearer 10!!

Good thing is ur back and we usually have a good loss when we get back into it don't we - good luck!

Snap, I will reset my pledge to a higher one otherwise I will be in the minuses I am sure. I just know I will be back over 15st mark again *bangs head on wall*

I really enjoyed pilates as well, lazyness got the better of me. I want to hit my birthday and christmas a LOT lighter than I am!
