A yummy (and happier and healthier) mummy - for good this time!

:( That must have been terrifying! Poor little Reece, hope it all settles down for him. I used to get nosebleeds a lot when I was a kid - not sure why,tho.
Yeesh, I would have had a cheat day too, if I were in your shoes.
Does it have to mean a loss is totally ruled out tho?
 
New month and hopefully closer to target. I only have 2 off-plan days that are in the diary so far for this month- one this Saturday (having a bridesmaid day for dress and accessory shopping with an evening for food and drinkies) and valentines day when me and h2b are going to have some bubbly, a takeaway and a movie.

Paying for the rest of my dress this week and booking in my alterations if needed. And we booked our honeymoon- 5 nights in a spa hotel in Rome :) Cant believe my wedding is getting so close!

Todays food (EE day)-
B: Nothing.
L: 2 x tuna melt (60g WM toast hexB, tuna mixed with 3tbsp lighter than light mayo 1.5syns, 2 x low fat cheese slices 4syns) WW yogurt. Satsuma.
D: Chicken breast coated in schwartz seasoning. Roasted veggie medley (potatoes, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers and onions)

Snacks: Banana. Yogurt. 8 x Smarties 2.5syns.
Drinks: Costa medium skinny vanilla latte (skimmed milk hexA and half syrup 2syns). Pepsi max cherry. 4 x cups of tea (sweetener and dashes of skimmed milk 2syns). Water.
Syn Total - 12syns

It is getting close! Time is flying!! And people are starting to want to be paid so getting into the pricey side of things!!

Work today wasn't great- ive been moved teams (which i knew) but i didn't know who my new team leader was- as i work part time i thought it would be nice to keep me in the loop but i always seem to be forgotten. Unfortunately the girl who got the job has clashed with me in the past and i had a little mental breakdown because i wasn't prepared to deal with it.
On top of that i applied for a temporary position in another department and got declined straight away because i work part time- apparently it's not discrimination because i don't meet their business needs (despite them not even contacting me to discuss amy flexibility i could offer).

But at least i managed to stay in control of my food!

Todays food (green day)-
B: Nothing.
L: 2 x M&S sushi snack packs 1syn. Space raiders 3syns. Satsuma. Banana.
D: Special K chewy bar hexB1.

Snacks: Fruit salad (apple, pear, grapes, kiwi and plum) WW yogurt. Banana. Special K chewy bar hexB2.
Drinks: Costa medium skinny vanilla latte (skimmed milk hexA1 and half syrup 2syns) Water. 4 x cups of tea (sweetener and dashes of skimmed milk 2syns) Starbucks medium skinny caramel latte (skimmed milk hexA2 and SF syrup)

I wanted to keep syns under 10 today but i had the worst customer ever! He swore at me, called me a b***h and everything. So i caved and ate some chocolate... Still within syn so hopefully i can claw back the gain from last week.

Considering weighing a day early this week as well seems i have an off day planned for Saturday- typically the day before WI so no time to attone for any damage...

L: Ham salad sandwich (60g WM bread hexB, ham, lettuce and 2tbsp lighter than light mayo 1syn) Yogurt. Banana. Space raiders 3syns.

No way, that's brutal! I have to deal with some really unhappy customers in my job too - have been called names and yelled at, the whole lot. I think I've finally toughened up a bit, but it's taken years for it to happen. It's the quiet ones that are really condescending and arrogant that really get under my skin now... * shudder*


Ooh, Lisa - you'll never guess what happened last night - my wee dude had a nosebleed! It wasn't a really bad one, but I think if I hadn't read about what happened to Reece, I would have panicked a lot more than I did! So, in a weird way, thank you. :eek:/

I used to work in Woolworths on the entertainment counter and a customer threatened to stab me (said he'd wait outside the shop for me to finish my shift!) because i wouldn't sell him a Xbox360 (we were out of stock!) My manager ended up taking me home in his car for my safety! Some people are just horrid.

Im so sorry to hear about your little ones nosebleed but glad Reece's experience helped you stay calmer! It also makes me feel a little better knowing Reece isnt the only one to have them so young as well!
Hope your LO is okay and wasnt too scared by it.

As a rule you have to give them a couple of chances before you can hang up. A lot of the time if you mention that they are swearing they will get worse and then you can terminate the call. Ive had to do it before- and then they called back and said I was the rude and unreasonable one!!! So now I just put myself on mute and let them rant away!
 
I take it personally- even cry after some calls (although im a pretty emotional person and crying is not unusual for me!) But i think their behaviour reflects worse on them as a person than me!!

Had a good day thanks Rosie! Had usual Wednesday playgroup- although Reece is in the "everything is mine" stage he played nicely and i was able to have a gossip!
Only had a tantrum when i wouldn't let him watch Peppa Pig- he actually stomped and then went and turned the tv off so i couldn't watch anything either!

Annoyed at a friend who hasn't RSVPed- ive sent her two messages and texts over the past week and am now at a loss about what to do. Its just rude. I chased any others up and they replied nice and promptly...

B: Half a banana.
L: 3 x Tesco light choices sausages 3syns. Scrambled egg. Beans. Fried onions.
D: Youngs low fat ocean crumble 3.5syns. Carrots and green beans.

Snacks. WW yogurts. Satsuma. Pear. 2 x light cheese triangles part hexA. Popcorn 2.5syns. Special K chewy bar hexB.
Drinks: Cups of tea (1 with 1tsp sugar 1syn and the rest with sweetener and skimmed milk part hexA). Fruit tea. Diet orangeade. Flavoured fizzy water.
Syn Total- 10syns

Trying for 10syns or less for the rest of the week to counteract Saturday!
 
That's sad :-( I don't tend to think of myself as emotional but I think deep down I probably am, I just bottle it up.
I agree re it reflecting badly on them as a person- you're just doing you're job and what right do they have to speak badly to you. Uh oh I'll stop now before I rant ;-)

I would be annoyed too! Are there any mutual friends you could talk to? Perhaps somethings going on that you're not aware of?

When I used to work in calls with the general public we had to give them one warning and then we could hang up and I always did. I was never extra helpful to anyone who is horrible on the phones as I think lots of people are just to get rid of them and it just encourages people to behave badly on the phone. Now my job involves calls but from other NHS workers and they mostly manage not to swear - we have one regular caller who swears but only if he gets one of the male team members as he thinks it is wrong to swear at women! he isn't swearing at you though just in his general speech which makes a difference though than when someone is calling you names.

Somes Im extra nice to people who are mean because it makes them worse and then I have the excuse to hang up or they quieten down because they are actually reasonable and realise they are being an arse.
Or I like to scold them eg "I really dont think swearing is getting us anywhere, Sir" or "Is that type of language really appropriate, Mr. XXX". Then they look stupid :p

I dont know whats wrong with me today- I could eat a horse! Hasnt helped that H2B went to work earlier (we have an appointment at our wedding venue to discuss and he went in early to get out earlier) and he woke me and Reece up an hour earlier than usual so it feels like Ive been awake for ages! But I actually ate in the morning- I had what normal people would consider to be breakfast! My lunch didnt even make it out of the kitchen- Id eaten half my sandwich before the kettle had finished boiling so I could have a cup of tea to go with it!!!
Due to the wedding venue appointment I dont know whats going to happen for dinner... H2B has suggested getting a takeaway but I will try and resist. Plan is for a green day so I can have another sandwich and a mugshot/ pasta n sauce for dinner. Lack of superfree though but havent got a whole load in the house until my food delivery tomorrow!

Ive asked a mutal friend to check in with her and give her a little push... Shes usually pretty terrible at being on time and stuff so hoping it is just her having terrible organisation skills rather than something else.
If I dont hear from her by the end of the week Im going to message her with a deadline for the end of next week- after all the original RSVP date was 31st January. Then I can invite someone else in her place as we have minimum numbers to adhere too and I need to ensure someone else gets enough notice.
I shall take you on with that challenge Rosie! Been fancying a lasagne too and I know you use the soup for a white sauce so will be a double usage!!

On that note- going to edit my online shop and add in a cauliflower!!

Also must say I think your friend is rude with not replying. :( She could at least respond and say she'll let you know in a few days time!
 
The nudge worked and friend is coming! She was waiting to find out if she could get the day off work but has now decided to go sick if not...

Meeting at the venue was great- put my mind at ease with a lot of stuff too (like the set up of our candy buffet and centrepieces as we are doing them ourselves) Plus we got to run through the timings of day and wet and dry weather plans. And we didn't stop for a takeaway on the way home- h2b suggested it and i said i didnt want anything but he was welcome to it (he didn't! Thankfully- i don't know if my resolve would've stretched that far!)
