A yummy (and happier and healthier) mummy - for good this time!

Migraine has subsidied... For now. Dont know whether its gone or just dulled significantly by painkillers!!

Reece is fine- usual cheeky chappy self and causing havoc, as little boys do! Although a friends little boy has just caught the dreaded chicken pox- dont know if Reece has been in contact with during the incubation period but hoping not!!

Todays food (EE day)-
B: Nothing.
L: 4 x original ryvitas hexB topped with 60g philadelphia light 4syns. Yogurt. Satsuma. Banana.
D: 2 x chicken breasts stuffed with 2 laughing cow light triangles 2.5syns and wrapped in bacon. Roasted veggie medley (new potatoes, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers and onions)

Snacks: Grapes. Yogurt. Pear. Special k moment biscuits 5syns. Banana. Carrot.
Drinks: Starbucks medium skinny caramel latte (skimmed milk hexA and SF syrup). 3 x cups of tea (sweetener and skimmed milk 1.5syns) Diet orangeade. Water.
Syn Total- 13syns
 
Hope you're feeling better today Lisa! Everyone seems to be coming down with something or other at the moment- worse than Christmas time!
Your food sounded lovely yesterday, I haven't bought chicken breasts for ages but might have to splash out to give that a try- with a little garlic in it would be like a cheesy Kiev with bacon! Doesn't get much better lol.
Any nice plans for the weekend?

I add a little chopped garlic to it as well- you dont need a lot :) It is a yum dinner with loads of veggies.
Going to WI a day early again tomorrow seems as I am having a cheat day for valentines (although we are not going to get each other gifts- just some prosecco, a takeaway and a movie- although I did also buy some cookies yesterday and going to have them as well... Well if Im going to have a cheat day I might as well have some extra yummies!!)

A bit of busy weekend- hoping to go for a walk with h2b and Reece tomorrow morning (or a drive if its raining!), then wedding prep (evening invites and place cards!) whilst h2b goes to play football before our cosy evening.
Sunday we have a birthday party for a friends LO (she is 2!)

We've got two birthday parties tomorrow for work then going out for a curry. Sunday will be fairly chilled out but I think we've been roped in to going for a carvery! So have some damage limitation to do lol x
 
It's the chocolate chunk ones from Asda that i have in the cupboard! I think ive been amazingly restrained to not have sneaked one already!!
Fancy some buttery crumpets or a crisp white baguette with coleslaw for cheat day lunch tomorrow!! Just need to get some as i never have either of them in the house anymore!!

Had a revelation at dinner today! Reece ate something different! He ate pasta! Just plain penne :) Hes always eaten spaghetti hoops but stopped eating proper pasta but i thought id give him some and it was the first thing to be eaten! Happy and proud mummy!!

Todays food (green day)-
B: Nothing.
L: Homemade veggie soup (leek, potato, carrots, onion, swede and stock- part blended but still chunky!) 4 x original ryvitas hexB1 topped with 50g philadelphia light part hexA1.
D: Penne. 6 x tesco meat free meatballs 1syn. Tomato sauce (tinned tomatoes, mushrooms, Worcester sauce, onions and garlic) topped with 40g reduced fat cheddar hexA2.

Snacks: 2 x alpen light bars hexB2. Yogurt. Banana. Grapes. Twirl 9syns.
Drinks: Cups of tea (sweetener and dashes of skimmed milk part hexA2). Diet orangeade. Water.
Syn Total-10syns

Managed to get a good amount of superfree in today! And got another portion of soup and tomato pasta sauce in the fridge so i can get back on plan after Valentines cheat day!

Good news first- WI this morning and lost half a pound! Down to 12st exactly! And 1 stone to go until target.
I've got 2 months and 4 days until my wedding but I'm not realistically expecting to hit target by then- especially with a few events including my hen do and pre-wedding stresses!!

So today i ate those cookies for breakfast! Shared with h2b and Reece of course!
And i just munched through 4 crumpets with spread and marmite!
Probably had about 50syns already :(
Not gona count though or I'll just feel awful.

Great news, Lisa!! Whoohoo! (Wait a sec... I was going to race one of my mins buddies to 12 stone... That wasn't you, was it? If so, well done on kicking my butt, as I'm nowhere near it yet, hahaha!)

And yes, I'm the worst at nibbling on my kids food, while trying to encourage him to eat, or before chucking what he hasn't eaten. I hate wasting food. I try to count every little nibble tho, even if the syns are off, because otherwise they add up too quickly.

Your wedding is getting soooo close now, yay!
 
Wow just a stone to go! Well done. Your treat food sounds amazing.

Well done on getting Reece to eat the penne especially if he hasn't in the past - I was sure I saw on QI (v reputable source there) that tastebuds develop more around 2-3 which is why kids start disliking things all of a sudden which much make things tricky.
 
Sorry for the absence ladies! Was pretty naughty over the weekend and felt a little ashamed of myself for not getting back on the SW wagon straight away!

Saturday I binged terribly! As well as the cookies and crumpets (and yes Rosie, they had so much butter it dripped out the bottom to be soaked up by the last few mouthfuls!) i had a whole box of mint matchmakers, crisps and a pizza hut medium pizza with breaded cheesy triangles.
I actually ate so much i felt sick which was completely stupid of me (hence the shame!)

Sunday i aimed to redeem myself- had no syns until lunchtime when Reece had a little party to attend. A handful of cocktail sausages, jaffa cakes, 2 fairy cakes (with butter cream), a fig roll, more than a couple sausage rolls, a (generous) slice of chocolate birthday cake and a glass of full fat lemonade later and again i thought f*** it and then had pasta covered in cheese and butter for dinner followed by Reece's leftover portion of more birthday cake.

Am i forgiven?

Mondays food (green day)-
B: Nothing.
L: 2 x tesco sushi 4syns. Yogurt. Fruit salad (apple, plum, kiwi and grapes).
D: 50g philadelphia light 4syns on 60g WM toast hexB1. Yogurt. Satsuma.

Snacks: Satsuma. Banana. 2 x Alpen light bars hexB2.
Drinks: Costa medium skinny vanilla latte (skimmed milk hexA1 and half syrup 2syns). Water. 3 x cups of tea (sweetener and dashes of skimmed milk 1.5syns) Starbucks medium skinny caramel latte (skimmed milk hexA2 and SF syrup). Flavoured fizzy water.
Syn Total- 11.5syns
 
Tuesdays food (green day)-

B: Nothing.
L: Homemade veggie soup. 2 x Alpen light bars hexB1. Banana.
D: More homemade veggie soup. Satsuma.

Snacks: Space raiders 3syns. Yogurt. Fruit salad (apple, plum, kiwi and grapes) Mini bag of buttons 3.5syns. 2 x SF M&S sweets 1syn. Porridge (35g oats hexB2 and 200ml skimmed milk part hexA1)
Drinks: Starbucks medium skinny caramel latte (skimmed milk hexA2 and SF syrup). Cups of tea (sweetener and skimmed milk part hexA2). Water. Flavoured fizzy water.
Syn Total- 7.5syns
 
Of course you are! Lol that made me chuckle too, everyone has these blips and you are on plan now. I used to go off plans fro weeks then not go back on ever so I don't think 2 days is that bad at all.
 
Thanks girls! I felt so ashamed of myself on those two days but i couldnt stop myself- i was like a woman possessed!

Had an okay day today but almost dived into chocolate this morning- went to the park with a friend and our kiddies (usual group isn't on because its half term) and Reece got tired and threw the biggest tantrum I've seen from him in the middle of the playground because he couldn't go on the swings. I had parents tutting at me and i felt bad for my friend because she was getting glared at due to association.
I felt embarrassed and ashamed because i couldn't calm Reece down straight away and like a bad parent. It was awful and i cried when i got home.

Todays food (green day- again!!!)-
B: Nothing.
L: 2 x McCain ready bake jacket potatoes 2syns topped with 75g phili light hexA1, heinz bbq beans and 20g reduced fat cheddar part hexA2.
D: 6 x tesco meat free meatballs 1syn in homemade tomato sauce (tinned tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, garlic and worcester sauce) Penne pasta.

Snacks: Melon. Weetabix oaty bar hexB1. Special K chewy bar hexB2. Banana. Asda G&C crisps 4.5syns.
Drinks: Cups of tea (sweetener and skimmed milk part hexA2) Flavoured fizzy water.
Syn Total- 7.5syns
 
Oh Lisa that sounds horrid :-( naughty Reece! Shame on the other parents for staring though- probably thinking 'thank god its not me for a change' but could be more sympathetic!

Must try those BBQ beans- sometimes they have them on offer in tesco..
Your day sounds like food heaven to me :p minus the melon, which I'm still trying to force myself to like lol x
