A yummy (and happier and healthier) mummy - for good this time!

Oh Lisa, sounds like you've had a tough day! You are definitely not a bad parent, children through tantrums all the time. Ignore other parents... I hate that others are so quick to judge!
Well done for getting back on the wagon after the weekend and don't beat yourself up about it... we all have those off days... me especially! xxx
 
Reece got tired and threw the biggest tantrum I've seen from him in the middle of the playground because he couldn't go on the swings. I had parents tutting at me and i felt bad for my friend because she was getting glared at due to association.
I felt embarrassed and ashamed because i couldn't calm Reece down straight away and like a bad parent. It was awful and i cried when i got home.

Ahh, Lisa! This sounds all too familiar to me! My little guy can be such a drama queen when he's not getting his own way!
I have to be honest... I don't get as embarrassed or upset as I used to when I went thru the same thing with my daughter - the looks from other people, while it was happening, really bothered me!
Usually, I find other parents are pretty sympathetic and will give you a smile if you make eye contact with them - sadly, it's the older people that seem to be tutting... Why is that? Have they forgotten what it's like to raise a toddler?
 
Thanks again ladies!! Reece has been much better today- still a challenge at the moment but nowhere near as bad as yesterday :)

Had my hair and makeup trial this evening! Loving the hair but a little bewildered with the makeup- i think i look completely different but maybe thats because i don't generally wear much makeup anyway...

Might post a shot and please be honest if i look a little fake (i think i may need to sort out my eyebrows and im a little worried that i have hair on my upper lip...!!! Eeek! But i might just be being paranoid- i hope! Damn insecurities!)

Food today ended up being another green day! I have got some chicken and mince and salmon in the freezer but i keep forgetting to get it out and defrost it!!
Plus i love the extra hex's!

Todays food (green day)-
B: Nothing.
L: Tomato mugshot. Special K chewy bar hexB1. Banana.
D: 2 x boiled eggs with 60g WM toast soldiers hexB2 with 10g light spread 2syns. 2 x laughing cow light triangles part hexA1.

Snacks: Satsuma. Banana. Asda G&C crisps 4.5syns. Grapes. 2 x oven chips 1syn?
Drinks: Regular skinny mocha (skimmed milk hexA2 and cocoa 3syns) Water. Cups of tea (sweetener and skimmed milk part hexA1) Flavoured fizzy water.
Syn Total- 10.5syns
 
I think you look lovely Lisa- and quite the opposite of fake! It looks really natural- your complexion is gorgeous & there's just the right amount of glow!
I can't see any hair on your upper lip though I agree you could thin/groom your eyebrows just a smidge. Nothing too drastic (hate this 'HD brows' phase) but just a little tidy up :)
Was your beauty lady nice? I'm quite worried about this lol.

Haha Rosie! I hate fake eyebrows so rebel by not plucking.
My beauty girl was lovely- although she is a friend of a friend (who i took along with me) so that made it easier as an icebreaker.
And thanks girls! The more I look at the pictures the more I like the make up :) Also found out my ring has arrived in the shop! Not collecting it until h2bs has arrived too though! Starting to get excited now!!

Also starting to get a cold :( Runny nose, dry slightly cracked lips and a dull headache bit trying not to comfort eat the junk!!

Reece is great thanks Jade. Definitely in the "everything is mine" stage but getting better at giving things back when asked!! He's so funny- makes me laugh constantly and is so affectionate at the moment that I cant complain :)

Cold is definitely in full swing but so far im managing without flu remedies and the extra syns. Sure that will change by Monday when im at work and need the lozenges though!!

Went to the cinema yesterday- took Reece to see his first movie :) Was expensive to see just one hour of Peppa Pig (especially considering only one episode was new!) but he loved it and was so well behaved. Was clapping and pointing out the characters on the screen. Too cute.

D: Cheats Paella (rice, onion, stock, 50g chorizo 3.5syns and chicken breast)

Drinks: Costa medium skinny vanilla latte (skimmed milk hexA and half syrup 2syns). 4 x cups of tea (sweetener and dashes of skimmed milk 2syns). Flavoured fizzy water.

Thanks everyone :) Looks like slightly dropping the syns last week worked for me- i think i averaged out around 10 per day so thats also the plan for this week!

L: Chilli bean soup (asda soup pack, tinned tomatoes, extra tin of mixed beans, stock) Yogurt. Banana. Ryvita minis hexB.
D: Chicken and chorizo gnocchi (250g gnocchi 4.5syns, 50g chorizo 3.5syns, chicken, chopped tomatoes, onions, cherry tomatoes, 30g light cheddar part hexA)

Snacks: Grapes. Cherry tomatoes. Satsuma.
Drinks: Cups of tea (sweetener and dashes of skimmed milk part hexA) Diet orangeade. Water.
Syn Total- 8syns
 
Haha Rosie- was definitely that F&Bs trip that made me wana buy the gnocchi.
Have a quick google- loads of recipes came up including a very tasty looking veggie one with tomato and spinach.
Mine was lovely but if i made it again id probably add a little more paprika or chilli for a kick, and more cheese! And add the cherry tomatoes in later so they had more of a bite...

Im getting a bit annoyed of being unwell :( Didnt update yesterday as i was in bed by half 8!! Felt exhausted and didnt do anything all day!!
