Abi's weightloss diary - post jaw surgery

hey guys. well i'm at the physio and the midwife on tuesday before i work my late shift so i'll talk to both of them about it then. the earliest work can automatically start my maternity leave if i'm off sick is when i'm 36 weeks and that's when i'm due to start my original lot of hols anyway. so we'll see. am feeling quite a bit better today. doesn't look like we are going to get up to scotland though. mum didn't want us driving at night anyway, so the earliest we'll go will be tomorrow morning and it all depends on the weather. i'm thinking the chances will be slim to none... gutted.

abz xx

I'm pleased you're feeling a bit better abz love.

Hi Abz, I really hope you manage to get to Scotland but it probably won't be worth the risk.

I have to agree with Gem, go and see your doctor and getted signed off before your maternity leave starts. You can't continue the way things have been going and as Bon said, work isn't important in the grand scheme of things. You have to take care of you and the baby now.

Hope things happen the way you want xx

hey everyone. well i'm in the highlands :)

by thursday there was no snow, maybe some rain. well we drove from about 8.30 to 3.30 with rest breaks and didn't get any adverse weather at all, although it was nippy outside :)

thomas is currently moving things into mum's attic. mum is sorting out other stuff and i thought i would come on here for a wee bit while the mayhem rages on. so glad we managed to get here :)

hope you are all having a fab easter weekend.

i have saved up all my syns for the week so i can have a small smarties easter egg this weekend and i'm looking forward to that :)

abz xx

Enjoy your time away Abz & a well deserved treat. xx

Morning abz, how are you love and little bump?

Morning Abz :) Yay I am pleased that you managed to get up to see your Mum, aw. Hope she's ok? Sounds like you had a busy time there!

How was your Smarties egg? sounds yum :D

Well hope the pyshio and midwife goes ok today and you get a chance to have a chat with them :)

Glad you're feeling a bit better, hope it lasts :D

well. i sauntered into the physio yesterday and sauntered back out again with crutches, two back supports, at least weekly acupuncture appointments and instructions to get signed off work asap. so i didn't even go to my evening shift yesterday. so work has abruptly come to an end. and instead of relief i feel GUILT!! but never mind. not a lot i can do. and i did try and warn them. they are being fine about it. but it does inconvenience everyone rather a lot. but then they've had plenty of notice to train folk. not my fault they left it so late, ha. i was supposed to be leaving in just under a fortnight anyways!!

so i'm glad it's been taken out of my hands.

me and bump are fine. had a fab time in scotland visiting mum. it's always so horrid to leave her behind :(

thomas has picked up some kind of scottish lurgy and is off work (unpaid again *sigh*) but i have hopes for tomorrow.

was supposed to go and buy paint for baby's room today but that has been deferred until tomorrow now. painting to be done this weekend at the latest.

hope you are all doing ok? i suppose i should start pootling around the house and get some cleaning done as the house is a tip but i can't quite be bothered... later maybe... :)

Hi abz, so that's it now, no more work for a while, that must feel great love, I don't see that you should feel guilty at all.

Yay :D I am sooo pleased for you :D

Now stop feeling guilty! you would have finished in less than 2 weeks anyway.

Now look after yourself and Miss baby and no thinking about work :) Hope you're ok :)

hi guys :)

i feel guilty because i left loads unfinished that i wanted to get done before i left including a disaster recovery project that had lagged on for months and months and i never got done :( so i feel bad that i couldn't finish it before i left as there's only one chap left in leeds IT now :( so he shouldn't have to do it...

and i don't plan on going mad with cleaning linzi :) but it does need doing. so slowly but surely i need to do it :)

Hi Abz, glad you managed to get to Scotland and had a good time but even more pleased to hear you have been signed off work!

Hope you are both well and you relax xx

i'll do my best. after all, today i haven't gotten out of my pyjamas and am now considering a bath. am attempting to teach my mum how to use skype... wish me luck :D

... am attempting to teach my mum how to use skype... wish me luck :D

:DMust be the day for it - my shortest twin was at her grandma's today teaching her how to skype:eek:

I'm glad the decision to stop work was taken out of your hands - now all you need to do is try to ignore the guilty feelings and concentrate on your and mini Abi's health and wellbeing;)

Hope Thomas is feeling better soon too:eek:

Glad to hear you got a good physio Abz, make sure you are wearing your supports and using your crutches, it will take some pressure off your pelvis hun.

Guilt automatically comes with a sick line for me, but needs must hun. I've been off since 15 weeks, so you have done fab lasting this long. The guilt will pass, just try to enjoy this extra time by relaxing.

Morning abz, how are you this morning?
