Advice for the PrawnchopSuey

I agree - dont let their comment upset you (easier said than done, I know). I try not to engage too much when people go the other extreme either and say things like 'oh thats so healthy or have you only got salad'. Its like people want you to defend whatever you eat and I dont feel any of us need to do that. Its not their business what you're having or how much! Like Sarah says, you know it works so keep doing what you're doing :)

Thanks for the info about the class, it sounds fab, I'm sure I would enjoy something like that, definitely. Maybe I'll treat myself!

Take care :)

You're right gobolino - I hate it when people say "ooh salad you're healthy"... In fact this is probably why I eat my lunch at my desk most of the time...

Well, the guy in question eats about 6 ready meals a day but also does a lot of gym work so he is essentially skinny with horrible gymmy muscles (I hate it when men try and go for the buff honed and toned look - it all looks a bit plastic). So his comment was basically meaning that he can eat as much as he likes becasue he's a healthy weight and works out whereas I just eat too much.

Hmph, well I'm over it today, as OH said 'why would care what anyone in that office thinks of you?' and he's got a point as I often come home and tell amusing stories about how hopeless some of my co-workers are (the 'hypochondriac' who took a full week off work between a routine blood test and getting the results....the 'whinger' who is on a debt management programme but still goes out every weekend and has shedloads of clothes but laments how unfair life is because she still needs to 'live' and can't afford to....the really 'sterotypical gay' man (the one who made the comment yesterday) who tells us all about his sexual exploits like he's invented homosexuality...). I'd rather just be fat than as deluded as half of them ;)

Hoping for a loss on Monday if I can be good this weekend. Have a good one everybody :)

That's what I love about working in an office lol!!

Had a stressful day at work which was made ten times worse by someone in my office coming over to ask me something when I was having my lunch and saying 'Are you eating AGAIN??!' and 'there's LOADS there! Are you not eating tonight or something?' which quite frankly made me feel like crap. I know it's just a little comment but for some reason I found it really upsetting. And it was a bit mean as well, making a comment to insinuate how greedy I am in front of an office full of people :(

JEALOUSY!!! You are not NIL BY MOUTH! take no notice, idiots unfortunately come in all shapes and sizes, hope it hasn't upset you too much, donna x

Hee hee, thanks for cheering me up ladies :)

Well, couldn't be bothered making risotto after all.

Read a lot of posts and you will always find someopne who comes across someone like this. Your certainly not alone.

These people are diet saboteurs devils, and should be ignored at all costs. They love to put little doubts in your mind, and make you feel crap about how well your doing, because people like this don't want you to succeed and they hate having attention taken away from them, because they think they are so wonderful.

But...Your wonderful and your powerful, and you have the power to take their comments and stick it where the sun dont shine lol.

If someone says that, just say to them, "Its all within my diet plan, and I am losing weight really well, would you like me to explain it to you? Perhaps you might find it helpful" (implying they could lose some weight) and then smile really really brightly, and carry on munching your food with gusto, even stick a "Mmmmmm yummy", in there. You then disarm them!

Thank you Silvermane :)
I don't know where I'd be without good old Minimins...

:) Sunday - green

Total syns: 16

One over on the syns, but I've been mostly under all week so it should be fine.
Went to play squash today, but my leg's still not right and I couldn't move around the court very well - frustrating to be paying for the membership and not be able to use it :(

Weigh in tomorrow morning - fingers are crossed :)

Good luck I'm sure you'll have a great loss x

Good morning and goodbye Christmas weight!!!

2lbs off for me so I am back to where I was before my off-plan festivities. Very pleased.

Aiming to STS this week as I am going away with OH Fri and Sat night - found a crazily good deal with three course dinner each night and breakfast included. There's bound to be alcohol involved as well! I'm hoping that if I am 100% until Friday night I can manage not to gain by Monday....we'll see ;)

Happy Monday :)

Wowee well done you!!! You've done so well keeping on track you deserve it! xx

Where are you off to then on the weekend - are you away or just wanted to go out?

We're going to Leeds for the weekend. Which is only about 25 miles away from where I live anyway, but we don't often treat ourselves and to to be honest, since I'm mostly not drinking whilst on SW we don't even go out much on a weekend.
OH's isn't really the romantic, spontaneous type either so I sometimes have to trick him into thinking he's making an effort for me...So I bought him the voucher for Christmas, then he books it and whisks me away for the weekend - what a nice surprise ;)

A hotel group called Peel Hotels have an offer on where you can buy a Gold Voucher for £99 - this gives you 3 course dinner, bed and breakfast for two people for two nights in any hotel in their group, and that's not bad for a 4 star hotel! I guess it must be really quiet this time of year so they need to lure people in. They're upgrading us to a superior room as well so all good.

I don't work for the hotel group I promise!! That sounds like a right advert! :)

Wow that sounds amazing! I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.
I love little mini-breaks like that - they're usually so relaxing and fun! **jealous now!**

And such a lovely time to do it, right after Christmas when the weather's miserable - something really nice to look forward to!

Woo Hoo - well done you! Thats very good going :) Hope you have another good week this week.
