feeling a lot happier today !!! scales are showing a 4lb loss from yesterday - which I think is just my dodgy scales behaving themselves again and maybe the other weight was the scales playing up.

Sorry to be so emotional about this journey ... Can't wait to get back into the zone, but I'm feeling very determined at the moment.

I'm still up from my lowest of 14.6 (now 15.2.5) but that is the result of being off plan for those 2 weeks (which became 3 weeks) ...

Anyway, just a quick visit as I'm just going out!

B - one egg, a small handful of spinach (prob 50g), 1 garlic, 2 medium mushrooms, 1tsp butter, 1tsp coconut oil, 20g cheese, made into an omlette with coffee and single cream. cals 412; carbs 5g

Love you all... you are all gorgeous and adorable!! xx
 
4lb loss! Entirely possible overnight when you've been carrying water weight. Roll on more wooshes for Di, please! Lovely to hear you sounding positive and I think we all understand the emotions involved in dieting xx
 
Ok... A more stable service will resume !! Lol

Only managed 2 soya lattes today but am on my way home soon and will roast some belly pork slices to have with spinach and garlic! Yum!!

Appetite has been very well behaved - for a bluddy change !

I do have a bigger spare tyre but it will be gone soon if I continue as I've done today!! Yippee !!!

A rather thrown together belly pork slices garlic spinach and mustard ... But it's not bad at all!

I roasted it in a hot oven - 200c for about 45 / 50 mins - with garlic, thyme and a slosh of red wine vinegar ... Quite tasty and filling - I put some Dijon mustard with it...

Another pound off this morning - 15.1.5

Am staying at my ex boss' house today for a while so their scales will be different so might not weigh while I'm there

B - 1 egg, 2 mushrooms, small handful of spinach, coconut oil tsp and butter tsp with coffee

Still have a couple of roast belly pork slices which I cooked last night and will have them for lunch x
 
Wow...5lbs in two days - you're rocking it now! :D Just stick to clean and green and it will be gone in no time - and your body will feel so much better for it too!

And having had a longer-than-intended break may actually turn out to be a blessing in disguise. You've given your body more chance to reset things like thyroid and leptin, and with any luck you'll reap the benefits of that now that you're back on track.

I have to say that my appetite isn't the same as it was pre break - I would have happily eaten a wilderbeast on the hoof at one point - it was a gnawing insatiability...

Hopefully I've reset myself but am finding it harder to blank out the carbs - pre break I had got to the point of almost not even seeing them - so that part is harder ...

B - hardly ate it

L - 1 belly pork slice (roasted yesterday) and about 40g cheese and coffee with cream - the folk I'm with got me a pot but don't intend to have any more once it's gone

That's happening to me too. I'm consistently undereating my calorie target since coming off the break, and I'm not feeling anywhere near as hungry.

Could be that because we spent time out of ketosis it's having more effect now, more like it did when we first started Atkins. I'd definitely been noticing over the months that the hunger-suppressing effects of ketosis seemed to be diminishing, so perhaps it's good to break that state occasionally to reassert the benefits?:confused:

I guess some things that you don't want reset will be, unfortunately. The good thing is that we both know if we stick to clean and green those urges will go away, and probably quicker than back when we started.

Well... I'm still quite fragile at the moment ... Have to brace myself when the temptation takes over ... Hope you find the zone soon lovely Brennie... It's no fun at all when you lose your way! Big hugs and if there's anything I can do to help I'm here for you xxx
 
I know what you mean about fragile Di! But I've resisted my first temptation and not gone to Maccie D's for lunch even though I could smell it :D My next obstacle is not telling the twerp who has just emailed asking me to diarise something that he should be owning just in case he forgets before his holiday to **** right off! He's got one thing to remember to do whereas I answer around 50 enquiries per day plus everything else! So many ****wits, one little me!
 
Well done on resisting Maccie D's!! That can be so tough!! Xx I think just take each temptation as it comes and you'll get there! You have a deadline which can really help! Xx

Have been ok today but now feeling hungry so need a distraction ...

B - egg bacon mushrooms coffee soya milk

L - king prawns with cucumber mayo and lemon juice

D - piece of cheese cucumber pickled baby eggplants piece of cheese and a frankfurter

Am at my boss's house so can't weigh til I get home... His dog is dying of cancer so I'm doing a lot of palliative care... It's a full time job - sorry slight exaggeration ...

My downfall today is buying cream for my coffee... I just felt like a treat but it's so calorific - why oh why!! Lol
