Another 6lbs off.. that brings total loss to 29lbs so I've kicked the 2 stone mark, I'm over a quarter of the way there.
Bring on week 5!
Firstly I would like to know if anyone would like to buy a 14 and a 1/2 month old - particularly good for keeping fit, does require owner to have eyes in back of head!
Now I just know that you don't realy mean this.I bet she's a little angel really.
Evie's discovered how to climb, so if I take my eyes off her for a second, she's straight up onto the coffee table, I take my eyes off her for 2 seconds and she's on the window ledge.
I'm liking Evie more & more.A child mountaineer.
diet is a lot easier now, and before I was using my diary as a crutch, I still need you VERY much, but I'm not ok to go solo for a few days. (although catching up with everyone else is somewhat time consuming) good
Saturday! - So after the fab news of my 6lbs loss OH and I decided to take off for the day, so we loaded up the car, push chair, rain cover, nappies, water, water, water etc and off we went to Scarborough Sea life centre. It was Marvelous! OH loves natural history programs and Evie loves animal programs so they often sit and watch together, it was lovely to see Evie so excited at seeing penguins and seals and turtles in real life. there was also one of those warm fuzzy family moments while we were huddled together outside watching the seals getting fed. AWWwwwww. The pre diet me wouldn't have enjoyed any of this as much. before, any where we went I would be counting down till lunch and wondering what delight there would be in the cafe. It's amazing not to obsess about food anymore, it makes you appreciate other things in a way I never thought possible. I did treat myself to a diet coke Zero in the cafe and it was very yummy
that sounds so nice,a real family golden-moment
Sunday - The big CLEAN
So, one of the spring cleaning thingys that you have to do from time to time, our bedroom was getting littered with clothes, a mixture of clean, dirty and baby. 'how scruffy'
Actually when I read this I thought 'how normal'
I hear you say, and yes, my bedroom seems to always be a tip, but this time in my defence 3 of my 4 draws are broken so there's no where for the clothes to live. (admittedly the draws got broken after months of being slammed shut because there was nothing 'nice' to wear (which means only tent style fat clothes. ) So the draws got glue and clamped together (it's handy living with a Joiner, ((though I'm not sure why it took so long for said Joiner to 'join' draws, but hey)).
I reckon thats normal too
I also had a good root round my pre baby clothes and have found some lovely 'timeless' items that will always be in fashion that I can wear when I get a bit thinner. (well, quite a bit thinner)
Evening means exercise bike - 12 miles!!! wow, I'm even impressing myself. WOW
Monday - Shopping!! the usual weekly drudge
Exercise bike - 10 miles
Tuesday (today)
Not been a good one so far. Had car booked in for MOT this morning,....... So took evie home and slowly calmed down. felt VERY tempted to eat, but resisted.
ps Would you consider a part exchange? One nearly new toddler in place of a v muddy 6yr boy, An arrogant loudmouth 9yrold & 12 yr old proto-teenager with attitude?
.1. You're far too small for a pr of size 22 Evans Jeans-(unworn & needing a home) I suppose aren't you.If not they're yours
2. Have you tried the CAB.They seem to specialise in helping the little people against unfair authority etc.
3.If you got the council lady on the phne to acknowledge that your conversation with the 'payment-compromise' employee did take place. Then would it be possible to either trace said employee &/or get a written statement to the effect that the split final payment had infact been agreed by them & therefore their summons is in contradicion to their own contract with you.also = a vital thing to tell CAB.
.
I'm so looking forward to getting some lovely chickens of our very own!! also on lovely sunny days like today I think cultivating my own little vegge patch would be wonderful too!!
what a coincidence.I was just talking to H the other night about getting a few veg up & running this year. What seems like a wholelife time ago, in the years BC (= before children) we lived in town & had one of those long thin gardens. We were almost self sufficient in veg.It was so nice getting home from work, down to the patch to find something for supper. That was when I first got a few bock-bocks.
I haven't decided what to go for yet-mustn't try & do to much.(Keep forgetting there's only 24 hrs a day & I sleep most of those.) I tell you what, if you choose a few to grow & I do a few we can compare notes?
One thing I thought I would try ,(after paying over £2 for a butternut squash for a veg soup, then finding it had come from Brazil ,) is a selection of squashes. In theory I can store them through the winter.Sweetcorn is another i might do .Only a short season but you can't beet the just-picked taste.Swiss chard is my fave spinach -type crop & it harvests for 6 months. Also onions -from sets (can't cope with from seed at present) as I love stringing them & hanging fromthe ceiling.H bangs his head onthem & I can pretend to be an earth mother who knits her own yoghurt.
Please tell me how you get on with the veggies. I guess you'll be influenced by what catches Evie's eye. Can't beat carrots for kiddies.
OOoohhhhh whilst I was on one of my many wee trips (sorry for to much info but i was) I was sitting there, watching Evie do her psssssst dance when i heard this 'buck buck buck' noise, our neihbours have got some chickens!! aww maybe this will help to convince our land lord that they would be a good idea.
Reckon you've been sent a hint there.Oh & I've just remembered there's a really nice breed called Black Rock. Hardy, goodlayers etc specially for domestic situations.
If you're short of space bantams are an alternative but they tend to be more flighty.
I'm looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow, I don't own any scales so I haven't weighed since last Sat. fingers crossed for a good result
I've done the domestic goddess thing again this morning, I've roasted a chicken (but I feel so bad about it now sorry Echo) She won't mind, she's well past eating age!
Just added a picture of Colin the Dog - Currently fetching newspapers into the pearly gates after suffering from Cancer of the Dog.
Colin looked like a relly nice chap. One day I'm sureyou'll be in a position to give a home to son of colin.
What a coincidence-you've changed your Avatar! I got bored of pirate-penguin so loaded up Dogin.Does the hamster have a name?
Dogin is rather Cute - The hamster had a name, Haratio. Then we discovered he was a she and since then is refered to as 'the hamster'. we toyed with the idea of calling her Bob, which all Blackadder fans will know is short for Kate, but still unsure.
Good luck for the weigh in & go get that council.
Here's another piccie of 'my girls & their fela'

Yes, what a lovely idea! I'm going to have to start with whatever I can grow in a pot, I'm going to venture out today and find some large ones.
Butter nu squash's from Brazil ?!?! my goodness, so not only did it cost so much it also came with it's own carbon footprint! .
it's utterly bonkers isn't it
I'm a huge fan of Hugh Fernley wittingstall and keep reading his books promising myself I was going to become a seasonal organic eater. What season do you get chocolate shakes from anyway?
Well the news is not so good this week, although I have been preparing myself for a 'low' loss week I didn't realise how disheartening it can be. I've been drinking around 6 or 7 litres of water a day and this week have clocked around 60 miles on the excersise bike! and no cheating!
Even my CDC was asking me if I'd had any 'extras' oh well
So 2 lb off.
total loss 2 stone 3 lb
you're Ok there.the shakes grow on an evergreen bush that can be harvested perpetually on a cut-n-come-again basis.T.hey require no additional fertilizer & as they grow in every locality there will be the minimum of food miles as well
You are right of course, I snuck on the scales at my mums house yesterday, they seem in tune with the CDC's scales so I'm pretty confident in saying that I have lost another 4 lbs since weigh in. Yay!!No it doesn't seem fair-but just think what a joy next weeks weigh in will be when the extra fluid has gone to reveal the true weight!!!!!!
My scales haven't moved since last tues-maybe there something in the air.
Ps have a primrose
Hey Roosters i've just clocked up a 6lb loss & I've been nibbling on biccies all week
No only kidding.2lb-which is OK as I had feared it'd be 0.Haven't been 100% this week-more like 99%.little bits of brassica & lettuce have gone in.
Me too!! I snuck some lettuce twice this week. And 2lb is a fab loss - well done you lettuce eating fiend!!
I did the sums based on your illegal weigh in at mums
YOU DO REALISE THAT WOULD TAKE YOU TO 2 1/2ST IN 6/52! tish tish-a pitiful loss.
Its absolute rubbish isn't it! MUST TRY HARDER!!
She obviously needed the roughage.Evie's full of cold, She's much better now though. glad she's getting over it
a word of warning, I've lost my spellchecker!!
there's one at the top R hand corner of the reply box here on minimins-never used it (that much is obvious) but i shoud think it works.
Evie has eaten her library book hmm, should be interesting tring to return that one.
