Becktoria Brand New SF diary!

Cheese was my fave part of sw for sure as I always did green so that meant I got two heas so had to have daily cheese ;-)

I don't grudge using points on cheese now though it's way too yummy! Did when I first changed to ww though x

Hey Laura I checked in the book and it's 2syns for a tsp of any oil but 6 for a tablespoon. I reckon a tsp will do me ok.

I don't drink much milk through the day as I don't drink tea and coffee so on day 1 I used skimmed milk but only 1/2 and so prob could've had some cheese or something but yesterday I swithched to semi skimmed and the amount you get is the amount I use in my porridge. I like milky porridge!

thanks for your help guys. X

Frozen is fine, I just wondered if it was the baked pears and plums that you sometimes did on WW. Alot of people don't necessarily take notice of the cooked fruit rule anyway but it does exist :/

Yeah I noticed that but don't quite get it. I did get slightly concerned that if the porridge heats up the fruit does that make it cooked but thought, god life's too short! Haha!
Right now I'm reluctant to use syns on crap but know that'll change. When I first started pp the first few weeks I only used like 10-15 weeklies!

Umm I may get some tinned pears and bake them today or tomorrow! What is golden pears, reminds me of golden syrup for some reason! Food is looking healthy beck! It's good that u don't feel the need to snack on crap ! Really helps a lot!

Given we are always advocating more cheese - remind me why we both left SW??????

Because.....you can have 49pp of cheese. That's 437g. Just saying.

I think it's a silly rule. Surely cooked and raw are the same calories. I get the dried fruit rule.

Looks like your getting your wad around SW pretty well!!! I'll be interested to see your first WI result!! :)

Yeh the fruit thing did always strike me as stupid - especially the one about you can't blend it to make a smoothie!! If you aren't going crazy a banana and a handful of berries in a smoothie isn't going to do any harm.

There's lots of silly food abuse rules coz people go a bit mental and make cakes out of couscous and make a whole bag of potatoes into crisps or whatever ;-) as long as you are sensible I think it's all fine x

Well I am still conscious of my portion sizes as I know it's 'free' foods but I still stand by the whole ww ethos of knowing portion sizes. I'm not weighing or anything but I can tell by sight now a normal portion and a huuuuuuge one. I'm guessing that is partly where the 1/3 rule comes into play on SW. To stop people going too crazy on pasta and the like.

Making roast chicken for first time ever, excited for tonight's roast. Home made yorkshires cooked in fat are only 2.5 syns so having 3 of them and then gravy made with meat juice is 5syns. This is good stuff, roasties in fry light and we're sorted. Plus veg of course.

Wow that seems really low for yorkshires! I would have had them all the time if I knew they were that low lol - the book annoyed me as it often gives the syn values for 28g of things rather than an average portion / whole one. X

Yeah I'm concerned I've got the syn value wrong but it is a ww recipe and the values of pp is only 1pp each so I'll go for it as 2.5 and hope for the best. It's hard to stop at 3 though, they're my bestest part of Sunday dinner.
Tea was amazing, best roast I've made in ages even if I say so myself.

Snap!

When you have all the info infront of you it comes together. I'm just skeptical if it'll work. I didn't do great on it last time but then I took the free food thing to extremes!
