Shortly after that post I spoke to the boyf and came to a completely different decision. Gonna invest in a good pair of scales (unbelievably I don't own a pair of scales) and do this from home. I know pp and sf inside out and I don't stay for meetings, I very rarely get told anything I don't already know, and if I do it's from here rather than ww so gonna cancel monthly pass and give it a go! I will buy the calculator and use that and will also keep buying the magazines for recipes. I'm gonna really get sad and compile my own tracking sheets and weight loss charts too! Plus with the time I save not going to meeting I can go to the gym (in theory)!
So buying scales after work. Friday am will be new WI time. Tomorrow is planning night. I will need support to stop myself going on the scales every time I've been to the toilet, but otherwise I think I should be ok. If it gets too bad I can always go back to class, so I'm excited again! God I'm sad! Haha! X
 
Yay welcome to the wi at home club lol.I quite like it and this site is great and you know you have all of us for support :0) sounds like you have thought it all through,it makes sense and as you say you can always return to meetings later on :0)

Yeay guys! Thanks for your support! I do know I'll be jumping on them scales as soon as I get on them tomorrow night but fri morn will be my first WI and I'm gonna treat that as brand new start weight, new start might give me the impetus I need! X

Good plan beck! Last fri I told myself it was a new start, forget about the last 6 months and re-start! Hopefully it will make things easier! There's no point paying to just b weighed! It's stupid! Do u have a shed in-which u can put ur scales sou have to leave the house to Wi, u may b less likely to Wi all the time then!
 
I think that's a really good idea Beck, so long as you stay honest on here you'll be fine as you'll be kept on track. I really can't see the point in paying for the meetings either. Having said that my local leader is lovely and she does do great meetings and gives good ideas but I still can't justify spending €10 every week when I can do it at home. I have a spreadsheet made out for all my losses and measurements and my own tracker where I put all the food and exercise I do (I LOVE spreadsheets), in the past I have also had graphs but not this time. I do have little goals written up on my fridge though and when I reach one I get great pleasure in crossing it off :) I hope it goes for you now, just be aware that when you weigh on a different scale you may weigh a bit more or less, don't be put off by it if it's up a bit.
 
How has today gone? Think it sounds sensible to not return to your class (unless you want to shove a comedy cream pie in your consultant's face!).
 
Well I got my scales and I'm looking forward to WI in the morning even though I know it'll be a gain but tomorrow will be my new start weight. The scales are cool and track yr loss and calculate BMI too and they had £12 off! My boyf is doing it with me, we are going to Berlin in mid August so this is our Berlin blitz! Ha ha!
Today not been good food wise but that's my mentality of knowing I'm officially starting tomorrow. Think the next week will be tough as food is already starting to come into the staff room for end of term, our kids parents are really kind and send in lots of goodies for staff, not so great when you're dieting but I'll try hard. Deffo can't rule out sweet stuff next week but if I point it that's the main thing. Also drinks on Saturday night and then next Thursday! Aargh! I might not count booze points this week then cos now I think about it it's already gonna be impossible to stick to plan with 2 leaving night's in a week! Xx

My scales do bmi, body fat and water and lbs/stones ect! They r Ww ones and were only around £30. Its nice to have a good pair of scales!
 
It'll be hard with it being the end of term beck, but you have to really try and resist as much as you can. I know it'll horrible when temptation is everywhere but your Berlin blitz is a brilliant idea..you should make a chart for the wall for you and your OH..sorry..I'm not trying to force graphs and charts on you, they just really help motivate me:)
 
Right brand new start here!
Starting weight 11st 2.4lb
BMI; 26.6 (much better than I thought)
Goal weight- 10st (I shall reassess this when I get to 10.7 as not sure how I'll look.
Berlin goal weight -10:10

I think these are realistic goals, Berlin is in 4 weeks so hopefully can lose 6lb in that time, I'm not going to beat myself up if not.
Today is going to be super hard already. Realised I'm doing interviews for support assistants from 11-3 so not sure if I'll get lunch. Porridge and plums for breakfast and a snack of fruit at break time hopefully will keep me going and I'll make an omelette or something when I get home.
Feeling positive. We'll see how it goes! Oh and prob doing a pp week just to get me back on track with weighing and measuring etc. x
 
That's not bad at all beck! And u nearly have a healthy bmi!

Thanks Sarah! I know I thought 10:10 was my highest healthy BMI range but that was calculated by ww and realised they don't do 1/2 inches, see I'm 5'5.6" so nearer 5'6" than 5'5", wouldn't have thought it made much difference but it clearly does be it only a couple of lb!

Had yummy breakfast of scrambled egg made with 1 whole and 1 egg white on top of rye bread and with avocado. 7pp good start.

I really resent how much pp avocado are. I've been reading the clean and lean cookbook for some new recipes and nutrition advice and avocados are recommended because they are a good fat. I wonder if on sf you could swap yr daily oil allowance for avocado? I'd much rather use that. X
 
Good plan with the avocado swap, I guess it would just be about matching the pps values up. I sometimes swap the oil for some nuts of the same pp value, which makes sense to me.
 
How u going beck? I read on another diary that u were struggling?
 
Yeah, not great. I'm just so stupidly exhausted and there was some crap food kicking about and I've ate it. I'm off to bed and hoping to feel more with it tomorrow. This past week has really done me in. No excuse I know but just completely drained! At least it's the weekend and I get a lie in tomorrow! X
