I still feel awful but Im plodding on. I had an extra egg which wasnt planned but it only bumps my cals up to 977 which totally isnt ideal but with my cold...im just pleased to not be completely going off the rails. its a mini-victory in itself. :)
 
Just had a very long, very hot shower and Im feeling a bit more like a human who ISNT sick. Anyway...while I was in there, I was thinking that Im going to go back to basics for a week. Well, as basic as I get. I cant do Exante - 3 packs a day - nothing else. It just doesnt work for me. lol. So since I have a mix of S&S and Exante Im going to plug in a few different combos into MFP and see where I get. I may have 3 packs...a mixture of both brands..and then top up with an egg or two for the difference. Ideally i would like to keep my carbs at 65 or less and my cals around 700 but definitely no higher than 750. I will start tomorrow and do this until Thanksgiving. And see where I get. Im quite curious as to what combos will result in the numbers Im aiming for....

So today is the day...back to basics for a bit to see how i get on.

Feeling like sick person who is starting to get a bit better...slowly. The cold is definitely going through its stages...hopefully it will be gone within a day or two. I feel awful that Tabby has caught it from me. :( poor babybean.

Haha. Too late! Tabby has it. Zoe seems ok. Hoping it just goes quickly. :) It is definitely on its way out for me...i can actually kinda breathe through my nose a bit. And Im at the hacking cough (charming!) part. lol.

This weekend? No plans what-so-ever. Hubby is off tomorrow (usually off Sun/Mon) but is working Monday as he has Thursday off instead. So tomorrow will be grocery shopping and thats about it! lol. I just got the boxes of xmas stuff out of the cupboard. We are going to put our tree up and decorate next sat/sun/mon. Im gonna do the window decorations on Thursday while hubby is here because when the tree gets here (we get a live tree delivered) on Saturday, we wont really be able to get to the window well enough to put up the decorations, etc. So I want to get that done in advance. Its a tradition from my childhood that we get our tree and decorate the first weekend in Dec. it so happens that the 1st is a Sunday this year. LOL. Lots of Xmas-y-ness this year as hubby makes us keep the tree up until after new year. lol.

Im going to get a few bits and pieces at tesco for my mom's xmas box and get that posted out on Monday since I have to run a few errands anyway. I might even pop in and get my eyebrows waxed! God, theyre atrocious! haha.
 
Ive had my 2 eggs and am just now having my first pack which, if im honest, im not even hungry and i dont want anything but i figure i may as well start getting through my packs. Im having chili. I have a bit of a headache but i think thats sinus related. lunch and then nap. :)

That leaves porridge and then spag bol. and more water and coffee.

I really hope im at least kinda close to where I was last Sunday, by the morning :/ lol
 
I switched the porridge pack for the toffee caramel shake that i had in the cupboard to try. it was ok. but im just not feeling shakes at the minute. probably because its freezing.?! lol.

So Ive had 2 of my 3 packs, and my 2 eggs and 4L of water. i have my spag bol and a coffee for later on as the evenings are the hardest for me.

headache still there and feeling a bit bleh. but its probably just partly the cold i have and partly the fact that i have been absolutely perfect today. PERFECT. lol.

Hubby will be home in about half an hour. I need to decide what to make for him. Im thinking beans on toast. Im so lucky that he is so easy-going and loves easy, throw-it-together, kinda stuff.
 
Evening! Never had a toffee shake. I do like the S & S Hazelnut ones.

My DH is pretty easy, beans on toast wouldn't cut if with him! A jacket potato and chili maybe... But if there is no meat, it's not dinner to him.

Well, afternoon now. I took tabby and I to the walk in centre because Im wheezing like crazy. I dont feel WORSE, per say...but Im concerned about the wheeze. Plus we both need new inhalers. So I was prescribed steroids and inhaler and tabby for an inhaler.

Before all that, though...I got weighed.

235.6 WOOP! back to my previous weeks weight (at least)! Im so pleased. 3lbs over night? yes please! So Im almost certainly NOT going to make the goal of 230lbs for Thursday. Thats 4 days to lose 5lbs. But. As long as I stick to my plan and I dont put on..I will be quite pleased.

I hadnt eaten anything (only had a cup of coffee, hurriedly before we left) by the time i got home so I shoved an egg in my mouth because its already noon! Im going to have a pack even though Im actually not hungry in the slightest. Weird for me. Very much weird.

I went to Lidl after the walk in centre (because its in the same retail park area thing lol) and got a huuuge bag of stuff for 28 quid. I got a whole chicken (garlic and herb no less!) for hubby for Thanksgiving (i dont bother with meat at home. I prefer to stay veggie) and whatever left over meat (breast no doubt, he prefers dark meat) will be shredded and put in the freezer for our traditional christmas eve mexican food night. I am gonna make beans and rice and salsa and guacamole. And we will have chicken flautas (and bean and cheese ones for me, probably). Anyway. So I got a whole chicken, a pack of full chicken legs (5 of them!!), 3 rolls of wrapping paper, scotch (actual scotch!) tape, a 20 pack of cute xmas cards, sponges, cheese slices, some wall stickers for xmas, blueberries, bananas, a couple of donuts for the girls...and a few other things i cant remember. BARGAIN!

So anyway. Im very pleased with my loss and with my purchases. lol. Now....really, if i dont get my first pack down, i will be eating packs at 7pm! I gotta get going with my water too! eeek!

Fun day bullying DD into revising! Sigh!

Nt sure what we'll do for Thanksgiving. Maybe I'll get a turkey breast on Tuesday, make some steamed veggies, baked sweet potatoes and for DD some rolls and dessert. I'm only one that likes pumpkin pie and I can do without.

Morning

Yesterday was a bit odd.

I ended up having a porridge pack...then most of an AC porridge pack. But I couldnt get it down. I think after 13 weeks...Im just getting incredibly tired of the same packs over and over. So I left about 1/5th of my AC porridge pack. I had a few cups of coffee but as we'd run out of skimmed milk and the shopping wasnt due to come til the afternoon, I just had full fat milk in it. (I dont have much milk in my coffees). And I had 2 eggs though the day as well. Then by the time dinner time rolled around I couldnt face a pack. And I was just feeling moody and sorry for myself and sick of being sick (Zoe has it now, too. Ugh) and sick of the same response I get from the NHS almost every. single. time. Despite me telling them that I have a VERY VERY LONG (MY WHOLE LIFE...HELLO!?!) history of these colds that turn into chest infections and only clear up with antibiotics, I get told no. Anyway. So i looked at MFP and saw I was due to have a chili pack for dinner. And then hubby and i somehow got into a discussion about how hungry he is and how sick of packs Im getting and how we dont want to not be able to relax and enjoy the month of december (and wouldnt a chicken kebab be nice, tonight?) because we are too paranoid and focused on our diet and weight loss and obsessing over it the way we both do when we are on a diet. And that its crappy how all the lovely things come out at xmas time (lol) and how we had loads of meals/days out/ things planned and how hard it was going to be to stick to our repsective diets (more for me as mine is far more restrictive) whilst still actually enjoying ourselves....and hmm...(hmm..i could really murder a chicken kebab right now...) well, should we maybe just do this until thanksgiving and then go off, but not go crazy? Haha. And er....wouldnt a chicken kebab be nice?!

So we ordered chicken kebabs.I had my usual salad and bits of chicken cut up with garlic and chili sauce but i also had half a pitta and about 10-15 chips! And then i spent the rest of the evening feeling confused, guilty and hesitant about what to do in Dec. As well as convinced that i would probably be back up to 238 in the morning.

And then this mornng I got up and got weighed.

So ....that's decided then. LOL. i cant go off my diet. well, not for the whole month anyway!. Im going to enjoy full or part days off plan on the days that we have things planned. And the rest of the time, if nothing is going on...Im going to have my 3 packs, a couple of eggs..etc etc


So Im still going to stick to it fully until Thursday. Only 3lbs to meet my goal. :O I might juuuust swing it. Or get very near.

Ive also decided that the AC porridge packs, I will start making them into pancakes again. i think Im getting sick of those in particular. gotta stick at it. i will feel much better if i DONT give in completely than if i do. :)

originally a few months ago when i MADE the goals...I had put my Thabnksgiving goal at 235 and my xmas goal at 225 but a few weeks ago i felt like it was uneven and at that point I had already nearly met the goal (i was 238) slo i figured i would make it a bit harder for myself. (LOL, do we see a trend here?) so i changed the thanksgiving one to 230. So technically, i have exceeded my original goal of 235, yes. but not yet hit my revised thanksgiving goal of 230. tbh...i would love to make it but as long as i dont put on between now and thursday..i would be really thrilled.

as for my xmas one. I was tempted to change that to 220. But im not going to because we have quite a lot going on, as im sure do most people...and there are so many lovely things...and i am going to be making lots of food and cookies etc...so...i will be realistic and leave it at 225 :) because lets face it...if i start the new year in the 220s (at all! even 229) its one hell of an improvement on last year...where i started the year at about 280. I cant beat myself up over not having "lost quicker" or "lost more" or "stuck to plan better or more often" because...the progress speaks for itself. It could always have been better, but it could have easily been much worse too. So Im pleased. And trying to be nice to myself and appreciate what Ive accomplished. LOL :D

How are you getting on Sammy? Im going to do the rounds as soon as i get a pair of knickers on Tabby. She still sleeps in a pull up but she's just taken it off and is running around screaming and giggling "ive got a nakey wee-wee!!!!!!". Haha. This is what you have to look forward to ! hahaha :) x
 
Ive been buzzing around the living room this morning, sorting toys and putting a bunch away, clearing and cleaning off the table, cleaning the windows (inside only. Sorry. i DONT do the outside of the windows in the winter. Screw that!)...and assorted other things..in prep for our tree being delivered on Saturday morning! We are going to decorate the window on Thursday :)

Ive had 2 eggs so far today and 2 cups of coffee. And Im not hungry. At all. Nothing. Nada. Not sure what is going on with me...but its good! haha
