I just unsubscribed from a diet newsletter I have enjoyed seeing in my inbox. I simply couldn't read it anymore . I felt I would be locking myself into a circularity of good talk about 'eating and dieting'. what i want coming into my inbox are newsletters about health fitness, raw food, juicing and organic eating . I felt that I was drawing a line under something .
My weight has plateaued, back to my old set point and perhaps a little lower. So no need to record it . But it did trouble me that I found myself not wanting to post.
I must at admit there are dairies I read and enjoy..those were the writer is more introspective and I miss their voice when they stop, but life happens and there are always reasons.
But the more I post the more I admit the value of the fleshy companion. On holiday, second day I'll be joining the gym and that will be great, its about 3 blocks from where I live and it opens at 5 am .
Also I am not going to 'work at' anything while I am there
4 weeks , gym , find a Buddhist center , sleep go to the art museums, sleep some more. Simple.
