Bev - Round 2

Congratulations Bev on a totally awesome weight loss and happy, belated birthday x

Happy Birthday Bev and well done on the loss............FANTASTIC You are a star and so good on TFR, I cant believe how quick the time is flying past for you.

Didn't do much for my birthday, I was working. We will celebrate whilst we are on holiday this year.

It's our 9th anniversary today. We'll be celebrating that while we are away too. Going to be a great holiday!!

Into week 4 now and can't believe how quickly this time has gone. Really into the hang of exante now and enjoying the flavours. I really do like the fact that there's no choice of what to eat next. It's a shake for brekkie, a bar for lunch and a soup for evening. Great. There's just too much choice out there to tempt me!!

Well done on the lose Bev- especially after you were so worried! Happy belated birthday :) and congratulations on your anniversary!

Well done Bev for staying strong despite temptation with two big celebrations. You will doubly enjoy celebrating them on your holiday. Here's to another 100% day.

Yes I'm looking up to you this time Bev ... It was Mary last time on LT but you are my Exante hero ... are you going to take the break with the 'food week' as they advise for week 5 or carry straight on? I think I'd be tempted to carry straight on if it was me - it can't do you any harm if you can do it on LT I wouldn't have thought. xx

Exante now have a food week??
I'm sure when I dabbled in it I didn't read anything like that or maybe I chose to ignore it! LOL Naaaah it can't do any harm to carry on through though :D

Glad you are flying on exante Bev and happy anniversary!! :) xxx

Yeah the 5th week you're supposed to add in a low carb meal not sure why xx

I had chicken or fish and veg once a week on LT, and I still lost at a steady rate, it just kept me focused on.........dont shout at me Jan and Tanya..........lol

HaHa - I knew you'd done that. I don't think I could do it. I'm very much an all or nothing girl xx

Lol we wouldn't shout at you we knew about that anyhow :p xx

You are both too kind ;)

To be honest, I dont think I would have continued for 3 months without my weekly treat. Well every 8 days really, and not for the first few weeks.

On week 5 you are supposed to have a small meal extra. From what I have read, it is supposed to help your metabolism. I was thinking of doing it for 3 days in the middle of that week, but not sure yet. I think TFR is hard enough so to eat and then go back to TFR I might find that a little hard. Not sure what to do yet really.

I don't understand why, if Exante is a TFR plan, they suggest a meal after five weeks. Very odd. Do they have a helpline you can ring and ask for info and the consequences, if any, of not having the meal.
On LT I stuck to it 100%. A) because that is the plan and that way I got all essential minerals and vits. B)because I wanted to prove to myself I could do it. C) too terrified that if I ate anything I would cave completely!!!!
Bev , hope you are having a good day today.

Having a good day today Molly thanks. Just having my choc orange bar for lunch and then soup for tea later. Off to badminton tonight to burn a few more lbs hopefully!

I think cambridge also has a meal week involved too. Not too sure on the reasoning behind it though lol But if you don't feel like you can eat and go straight back to it stick to tfr all the way Bev :D

The choc orange bars!!! Don't you think they taste like terrys chocolate orange segments, the ones with crispy bits in?! xx

I'll be having one of those bars tonight Tan - not fussy on chocolate orange but as I feel as though I could eat a scabby horse at the moment I may feel differently about the taste of the bar. I'll let you know ... well IF I can still type - I may have eaten my own arm by then ;) x

I don't know about a small meal Bev - it can be up to 600 cals!! To me that's a HUGE meal - especially if you're not having carbs!

This is all it says in the leaflet
In order to comply with Very Low Calorie Diet
recommendations we advise that every 4 weeks you take a
food week break and follow our Simple Solution. To stay in
ketosis during your food week break we advise that you
continue to take 3 meal replacements a day with an additional
600kcals of high protein, low carbohydrate healthy foods
such as meat, fish and any green vegetables or green salads

(please see website for food recommendations).

So actually it's not necessarily one meal ... I don't think I could do this and then successfully continue with TFR - but that's just me xx

Im guessing its to cover there backs if anything goes wrong with anybody and theyve done over 4weeks of tfr!!!

I don't think I'm going to do the week of meals afterall. I think I would struggle getting back onto TFR again. Looks like I'm going to go 100% all the way afterall.

Played badminton last night and had some really hard games. Great night. Not many there so loads and loads of games. Really sweated some weight off hopefully. Just past 9pm we decided to go and hubby got told not to take his wife home just yet. They wanted me to play some more mixed games!! I was shattered! Had to go home and shower and cool off!! Really enjoyed it though.
