Big Boys Need Love Too!

LOL, sales rep - good god - no!!!
I just love the speed of the losses, having been on it (lipotrim) for so long, it's more a way of life for me now, i don't miss food at all. Cambridge and lighter life are all basically the same, i reckon lipotrim has the least flavours tho! I found total food replacement easier as NO FOOD WHATSOEVER was passing my (then) fat gob, so then not tempted to cheat, and i never have, i don't have the flapjacks because i felt liquid only was the way for me, it costs £36 a week, seems to be about the same countrywide.

Hi Martyn
It may be that you need something more structured or just that you need to make sure you are keeping your matabolism going. If you starve yourself your body picks up on that and slows down to save for hard times. Have a good meal and the matabolism speeds up again and begins burning the calories faster - honest. Secret is to let your body think it's being well fed so that the matabolism stays in top gear. Some foods are better at speeding up the matabolism than others :)

Oh god, i think my head is going to explode! Like KABOOM! Splat! Squwelch!

£36 a week? Thats not bad at all! I end up spending atleast £20 a week now (More like £30-£40 if i admit to all the snacks and bottles of cola, which i won't, so they don't exist!) I thought it was going to be like £2000 a day, plus your soul and first born.

How'd you get into it? Do you have to go to meetings alot? I am really giving this alot of thought now, especially since your on it Kitteh, i thought you was a WW gal for some reason.

Seeing Starlight lose so much weight on WW is what made me ignore the VLCD, but i honestly don't think i am going to be able to lose the weight i want, without something else being done.

One thing i am REALLY worried about with the VLCD, what happens after? You have all that extra skin left over won't you? You lose it so fast, its got no where to go!

Argh! Why am i panicing over this..

tyn tyn! Lol, you've officially outed my nickname! Ha ha ha. Gem thanks very much lol. She just came out with some tea and a plate piled high with biscuits, but i think she must've cottoned on that i'm trying to lose weight cos when i refused them she even took them back to the kitchen lol. Tyn tyn, hun, give it the week, make sure you're doin it right as in keeping portion size down too. If you're still uneasy, look around see what you fancy- i for one know that i couldn't do one where i couldn't eat and also i personally think i'd find it harder to keep the weight off once i start eatin food again- and we'll help you out. Keep smilin sexy Xxx Xxx

Hi,
New on here - and also a bloke.
I'm 21 stone, about to venture into gastric band territory, but I have an answer to the gym boredom...
Try a personal trainer. I did, last year and I realised that the gym can be (almost) fun. I'm fortunate enough to be able to have a personal trainer 3 times a week and I've never been as fit.
Without a trainer, I'd be sat on the settee....
Try a session and see how you find it ?
Good luck,
Mark

I am going to wait until my first weigh in definatly. I don't want to rush head first into things (not this important anyway! mwah)

I think the next few days are going to be spent searching over the web and reading on here, to see if i can actually do them. The idea of getting into contact with a Counciler is unnerving! i hate doing stuff like that! lol.

I want to lose weight fast (dont we all), but i really dont want to be Mr Extra Skin after i have worked hard getting rid of it all. But i don't think i have the patience to wait years to get rid of it all... but will it actually take years? Argh head explosion incomming!

Such a drama queen, i know :)

Grats and not falling for the biscuits Smelly Elle! mwaha

Hi Mark, welcome to our little corner of heaven! Glad to have more XY people around (no offence you XX people!)

My auntie did the personal trainer thing and my god! She lost a butt load (And most of her butt!) but i am in the annoying situation, where i am a lazy unemployed uni student, so can't afford such things.

Shame really, because i REALLY want to enjoy exercise, (even considering making my dad buy me a punch bag for when i move back to uni)

When my aunt was on lighter life, she said alot of the members were talking about saggy skin surgery (sure theres a propper word), so they had a plastic surgeon in to answer q's, he said that it takes about 6 months for your skin to catch up with you, I am already finding this is happening to me and it's not even been 6 months, btw my start weight was the same as yours Martyn!!!

If you do contact a CDC - you can do so by email .... email me if you want more info, I'll gladly send you my "new client" email I send to people telling them about CD. CDC's normally see you on a 1:1 basis, LL normally in a group (of about 10) - but all male or all female.

Again Icemoose has had excess skin removed (apronechtomy??) and has a thread on here somewhere.

Greetings

Hi Mark :welcome: newbie
You've hit the right buttons all the way to Martyn's hijacked welcome thread where the totally mad hang out!

Lots of help and support here (and we've got the magic sparkling red shoes too) :)

If i had the smallest hint of hope that i could lose 9 stone in a year without having to do a VLCD i would so not consider it. They scare me slightly, almost as much as Atkins scares me.

I did that when i was 19, and my god it was horrible. My skin went horrible, i couldn't stop farting, i was so moody (even more so than a 19 year old is!) I almost got fired because of the mood swings it gave me!

But blah, i just want to find something that will work lol. Don't we all? (Apart from Starlight, shes the Angel of Weight Watchers, sent to keep the light of Watching of Weights bright!) wmaha

Tyn tyn! You've officially outed my nickname lol! Hun, give it till the week and make sure you're doing it right, as in keeping down portion sizes aswell. If you're still unsure have a look around to see what suits you- i know for example that i personally couldn't do one where i couldn't eat normal food and also i think that i would find it harder to keep the weight off when i was allowed to start back on food again- and once you've looked we can help you choose one. Keep smilin sexy! Xxx gem, thanks hun! My nan brought me a cup of tea before with a plate piled high with biscuits and when i refused them she took them back to the kitchen. I think she's cottoned on that i'm tryin lol Xxx i'm watchin scott mills on the lottery, he's a bit dorky aint he? Lol
