Big Boys Need Love Too!

OK Elle - Water Challenge - failed miserably today with only 1.5 litres guzzled. I'll go for the 2 tomorrow :)

How did you do?

No, no nightmares, just many laughs with you and Taz to remember :D I especially love the purple hair.

So Gem, did you complete the challenge?

It was hard work but I have! Woo! I had 1 250ml glass of water in the morning, 500ml before lunch, 1 litre between lunch and 10pm and then the last 250ml just now. I think that makes a whopping 2LITRES! I also had a cup of tea and a cup of coffee but im not counting that. Im going to try and do the same tomorrow :D xxx

Haha, we had the same thought at the same time, intriguing. Ahh Gem! Well, we all know what that means don't we, best lady won :p:p Heehee, I jest. Ok it's up tomorrow aswell so no worries. try and have a sneaky 250ml when you wake up and a sneaky 250ml before bed just like me. Thats how i've done it..may regret my decision when I have to get out of bed and drag myself to the loo...

Have to say, the feeling of needing the toilet desperately is never worse than when you've been glugging water all day, it actually HURTS! x

That's it then - 2 litres tomorrow for defo (runs off for a quick pee - ahh... that's better) I have had 4 coffees and a hot chock as well as my 1.5 litres of water and only counting the water too.

Off to bed now.......clicks heels :dooney:

Morning all

I'm feeling a bit better today, still a bit of congestion but the first day in two weeks I've woken up without a headache!

Hopefully I'm on the mend. :)

Will try and catch up on everything later.

Thanks for all the get well messages. x x

Good morning everyone :)

Can't hear any rain at the moment so we might be in with a chance of a nice day :character00238:

It's looking like there won't be any squatter evictions this week I reckon so a charity donation seems likely. We will see tomorrow morning if this week's weigh in will see another one out in the cold or not - sticky footed little blighters

Elle - I have decanted my first 500 ml of water and it is beside me as I post :waterbottle: I will try to get rid of that before I go and make my porridge. A year or so ago I used to have a pint glass of water when I got up - even before my morning coffee so I might start that again (pauses to glug water....:waterbottle:). The challenge is well under way and I'm gonna be right up there with you today Elle x :)

Have a Thumping good Thursday everyone :) x

Morning Jools, morning Gem.

You guys were up late last night. I had my usual 8 pints of water, that and about 5 big mugs of green tea. Spoiled it by having 2 pints of Guiness and a bottle of red though. ;)

Morning Jools - Good to have you back and fighting whatever was pinning you down x

Jim - I am envying the 2 pints of guinness - that's my sin of choice, expecially mixed with music - it loosens up the vocal chords just nicely x

Yes gem, I like my Guiness, they serve it too cold these days though :(

How much?? I struggle with 2 litres.

I've been really bad the last few weeks with being ill so I think I'll join Gem & Elle on the water challenge. :D

Thanks. x :)

Jools, a lot of that is to do with body mass love, the bigger you are the easier it is to drink the water darling. I'm a big guy and I can drink a lot.

I'm not keen on the extra cold. When I went to Clonakilty, County Cork on a music holiday last summer the guinness there was to die for (dreamy look as she remembers guinness and Irish music in An teach beag and O'Donovans Hotel)

Jools - join us - it's a good challenge cos 2 litres is defo what we should be drinking I reckon x

Ah, recorders alley, oh, so long ago love.

Yes I can't seem to find anywhere that serves normal Guiness these days. I can't understand this liking for all these super cold drinks.

Wow, you know exactly where I am talking about. I bet it hasn't changed much either.

We had an amazing week but it rained solidly. To cap it all the nearest beach was 3 miles away (Inchydony Island) and we had NO TRANSPORT.

Everywhere we wanted to go on the bus started in Cork (30 miles away) and got back to the bus station too late for 2 women to be hanging around on their own in a strange town. We ended up just going on a local bus journey to Skibereen and walking most of the time locally. We saw the Famine Museum which was very thought provoking but we never really saw much of Ireland although we knew we were right on the edge of some beautiful scenery. The music and guinness were both fabulous though :):)

I don't think I've ever even tried Guiness but my BIL is with you on trying to find somewhere that doesn't serve it so cold. He loves the stuff.

Guinness is an acquired taste Jools - and I'm afraid I've acquired it!!! x

I never realised that! Maybe only being 5'3" is why I find it harder then.

You're on. x

Great stuff Jools - that's 3 of us on the glug then x

And just think of all that exercise I'll get running to the loo all day!! :8855:

Since I'm at work I suppose I'd better do some! ;)

Catch you all later.

Have a good day. x x :D
