Big Boys Need Love Too!

Gem, Colleen used to sing with a folk band called Eleanor's Cottage, mainly traditional and a lot of Irish reels and jigs. That's how we met and that's how we ended up going there.

I never realised that! Maybe only being 5'3" is why I find it harder then.

ah, a real DOH moment there then Jools. :D

Mine is folk music too. I sing play (?) guitar and write songs. Most of my music happens in Cornwall these days but I have been knocking around the folk scene for well over 30 years now. Do you still do the folk scene in the Brum area? Where are the venues to head for? The year before last we went up to the Upton on Severn Feel Good Festival which was towards your area - we had a great sing around evening x

No we don't anymore Gem, mainly because of my hearing. Colleen has 10,000 CD's though and listens to them all day long. I haven't heard of most of the singers, I'll get a few names tonight, I'm sure you'll know them.

Morning all, seems I missed a lot on here yesterday!

Jim - Go careful with all that water, that's about 4l isn't it? People die from drinking that much as it strips the sodium from the body so please be careful. The recommended amount is 1.5l-2l per day. And that includes green/herbal teas

Jenn - You made me laugh so much with that dream. What did we all look like?

Jools - Great to see you back and feeling better x

Elle - hmmmmm

Abz - I don't understand any of that computer speak!

Gem - Are you making those squatters too comfortable?

Did I miss anyone?

Bit late for that Taz, I've been doing it for years. :D

Yes, most of the conversation was about elle's prospective fellahs big one ;)

Oi oi everyone! Taz, what was my hmmmm for? Jim & Gem, haha, it's incredible that you're both into the same thing. Although Jim I really don't get how you drink so much, it's incredible. My dad's 6' 4" and he certainly doesnt get through that much fluid in one day! It must be unusual to see you without a mug in your hand heehee.

So far I've done just over 1.25 litres. I'm planning on drinking water tonight at TGI's (yes...there again...) and should have around 2 glasses I reckon, about 250 mls each? so I'll have around half my bottle of 500ml here cos I can't face much more water hahaha.

Hi jools, glad you're feeling better! How's the water challenge going?

Gem I'm afraid I can't really see the liking for guiness. Sure, I had some in Ireland but I had to force myself to finish it off... it's definitely an acquired taste! And Jim, I prefer my drinks to be very cold.. don't like them if they're not. Especially ice cold tropicana orange juice yum yum.

x

oi oi? was it something we said?

Nah it's just an eccentric greeting! ;) Now one oi...well...you wanna be scared if I ever use one oi :p x

OK, I'll remember that then elle. I might just surprise you and drop in to TGI's tonight.

haha, imagine, a drunken Jim swaying towards me in tgis...don't think I won't take a photo:p lol. ;) x

:) I won't be drunk love, only a couple of glasses of wine for me tonight.

Evening all. :D

ah, a real DOH moment there then Jools. :D

Rub it in why don't you??!! :p

Jools - Great to see you back and feeling better x

Thanks hun, how are you now? x :)

Hi jools, glad you're feeling better! How's the water challenge going? x

Thanks hun. Didn't quite get there today, only did 1.5 litres and about 100 trips to the loo!! x :8855:

Come on girlies!! What's all this 1.5 l stuff eh??!! I bet Abz is going crazy! 1.5 litres is like an espresso for her!! :p 500ml more is all you need, split it into 250 in the mornin and 250 at night, basically a glass of water each way, and you'll be laaaaaaarfing ;) x

Hey - it's cold outside and the water makes you wanna pee.......frequently. They say the water you pass should be the colour of fine champagne - mine most definitely was today - almost all water - must've got rid of a fair few toxins the last couple of days. It is a little unseemly to rush headlong into the supermarket loo and within minutes make a sound that would put Niagra Falls to shame x

you're so right, it really does gush! I drank a litre in 10 minutes today without even noticing - you've shouldve heard me on the loo haha. everyone else in the office was finding cover wondering when the tsunami was going to hit. The u-bend just about held it together. Twas crazy i tell ya, craaaazyyyyyy x
