Big Boys Need Love Too!

well looks like you guys have had a nice long chat hahaha. erm...pickled herring :S hmmmm... doesnt sound too nice that, to be honest. The one english food that gets the best reaction from my cypriot relatives when they come here is the yorkshire pud. I remember one of my cousins actually stopped in his tracks mid eating it and went "OH MY GOD, WHAT IS THIS, IT'S INCREDIBLE!!" hahaha.

Yorkshire pud, incredible? never much liked it myself elle

i like yorkshire puds.. although the danish contingent spent ages quizzing me as to why it was called a pudding when it was savoury and not sloppy etc and it took me a while to convince them that i honestly didn't know, ha. they ask very difficult questions sometimes. such simple things that you think 'sh*t. i should know that. but it's something i've just always taken as a given...'

I think what we like is governed by what we are presented with as Children, I was always aware that we sometimes ate differently, but then so did a lot of the other kids I knew as their Mums were from Germany or Holland etc. Troops have a habit of meeting and marrying local Girls wherever they serve :)

That's me I'm off see you all Monday

Gem i'm on 1.75 l at the end of the working day, how are you doing? xxx

we chat a lot when you are here too taz :D

i'm going to try on my dress tomorrow taz. thank you so much for all your help :) hopefully it will all go smoothly :)

Good morning everyone :)

I slept OK again last night - that's good cos it's been a bit on and off lately :)

It's the weekend so I'm not gonna make any rash statements about being 100% good to get rid of the squatters but I will say that I am more interested in good healthy food at the moment than the things I shouldn't really eat. I had a meal out last night and had ice cream with choc sauce and flake for pud (naughty but not the worse thing on the menu) and I also drank wine. The meal itself was poached salmon with a handful of chips and salad, so that wasn't too bad at all especially as I ate healthy and low cal all day :)

Elle and Jools - The water thing was abismal yesterday. I started off well with 500 mls in the morning but after lunch I went to M&S to visit the bra lady and didn't wanna be peeing all afternoon. When I got back the water went to the back of my mind - I think the wine looked tastier and so yeterday was a shocking 500 mls total  I claim 3rd place (5th in we're counting Abz and Jim).

The good news though is that I have had 250 mls this morning so I've made a start :)

Abz - Have a great day today :)

Have a Super Saturday everyone :)

morning all! Well this morning my scales have me down as 2lbs heavier than i was yesterday! TWO POUNDS! But i reckon that's a fluctuation as I did have a few too many nuts last night. I had around 400 cals before going home for dinner, and then we realised that the priest was coming over - in January they usually go round blessing people's houses for the start of the new year, so we had to rush and do all the housework! Which was shattering. And then by the time he'd come and left it was 9pm and my mum (who by the way wasn't home, she was at my nans) hadn't come home yet - apparently my nan had cooked us some food and mum was coming home with it. We were starving so we got chinese. But I didn't eat as much as I have done before lol, and it was all either chicken or prawns. And then my uncle was round so we put some nuts n stuff out and im ashamed to say I did have a few too many with dried cranberries. And then I played tennis on the wii and went to sleep. So, after all that essay lol, I can't see why i'd have put on 2 real life pounds... :S i did do exercise in some form or another... well anyway, here's hoping.

We should be doing something with my sister today as its her 21st tomorrow so I wont really be on much. Have a nice day all! And Abz I hope everything goes well and you enjoy yourself chick!

Evening all, I've had a busy day today. Went to my mums this morning and she very kindly lent me her card so I could book a holiday for me and Mr Taz in May. So you can imagine how gutted I was when I got home to find and email saying that her birthday present that I ordered for her isn't due to be delivered to me until 2 weeks AFTER her birthday grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Oh Taz - I'm sure your mum won't mind at all about that - the best thing you can give her is a hug - trust me x

Well, give her two hugs then to make up for it x

Mmmm..... that sounds good - hugs and chocies x

Good morning everyone :)

"What's Gem doing up at this time on a Sunday morning?" you may be asking yourself (although you probably couldn't care less or just think to yourself "Silly woman!"). Well for those of you who are asking the question, I'll put you out of your misery.

For some reason my mate said the other day, "We'll go swimming on Sunday morning" :8855:Right, you're having a larf aren't you?

Aparently not, so here I am after a crap nights sleep waiting for my porridge to cool so that I can do a 20 minute drive to the swimming pool to swim 8-9am before the kids get in and the lanes get dismantled  Its chucking it down with rain outside and the changing rooms are always freezing cold

Still, I can move my activity ticker later can't I :D

Have a Scintillating Sunday everyone :)
