you two are officially lunatics. don't hold it too long. you'll end up with cystitis!! a little bit longer each time. don't make yourselves uber desperate!!
ha. not a drip elle. but i fill a litre bottle and empty it into a glass and as soon as the glass is empty i fill it up again. and i tend to absentmindedly sip it. i used to drink from a bottle as i found it easier to get down me but now the glass seems to work better
so his best man and his other best friend (who used to be together and now are 'taking a break') are coming to visit on friday. am rather excited
we haven't seen them for quite some time. it will be nice to catch up on girly chat with his best mate while him and his best man do their thing. of course it's me that's had to arrange all the fittings and everything... ha. but never mind. suit fitting on my birthday. oh joy. saying that, nothing like a man in a good suit
well thomas's folks live in roskilde, not far from copenhagen. and it is really lovely there. i love going to visit
i've not really had much chance to explore denmark as we spend most of our time with thomas's family but i think at some point we will do. i quite fancy getting the ferry over and then driving across the island at some point to make it a bit more of a holiday. still. 1.5 hour flight or 18 hours on a ferry... hmm
I've only been to Denmark once abz, and that's when I was very young. My mums parents died in the war and she never went back after that one time with me. She does a great smorgasboard for us on Christmas eve though.
danish food doesn't agree with me jim. i don't tend to eat a lot of meat.... but no meat isn't heard of in denmark. the first christmas i spent there i tried everything. i had pickled herrings and eels and haddock and crispy bacon and pate and the lot... and then proceeded to throw up for about 5 hours. it tasted great but my body really really didn't like it. thomas's mum says i need never eat danish fish again. ha. so at least i get to avoid the pickled herrings now.... never something i wanted to try. and the fact you can just buy vacuum packed eels in the supermarket with their beady little eyes... well...
Exactly, My mum has lots of Danish/Finnish recipes (Her dad was a Karelian Finn) and I pretty much grew up on that and some English cooking she taught herself.
i would make some for thomas. but all the danish recipe books we have are in, well, danish so i've told him if he wants black bread he'll have to get off his arse and do it himself as it can take days and days to make that one, ha.
