Big Boys Need Love Too!

I'm sure you are right Taz.

She was born 19 months after my second and the pregnancy was a bit of a shock.

Jamie and Eleanor are only 18 months apart Gem.

Colours of the world SPICE UP YOUR LIFE

Hello. My little sis was definitely a mistake. But I'm not sure what we'd do without her. She's 9 years younger than me and 6 years younger than my other sis. Our relationship is different - I feel lots more protective over her. And we have loads of fun, differently to the kind I have with my other sis Nat. In fact its a kind of relationship I hope to have with my kids!

Now, personally, I don't really mind when it happens. Although I suppose it would be nice sooner rather than later purely because it would be cool to be a younger mum etc. Saying that, there's so much I wanna do first I haven't even got time to consider relationships, never mind kiddies!!!

Bit like us elle 4 boys with a couple of years between each and then along came a sister 9 years younger than the youngest boy. I was at uni and quite shocked my parents were still doing it. ;)

ah, the truths we learn jim :D

well i am an only child. no brothers and sisters for me. my mum has an artificial heart valve and not much was known about the effects of drugs on foetuses when she had me. so she lost two quite late on in pregnancy before they realised what was going on and then she was in hospital three months before she had me, nearly died, and was in intensive care three months afterwards. she must have REALLY wanted a baby :D but obviously, as a result, there were to be no more. just little old me.

so i hope thomas's sister has babies because i want to be an aunty!! but i can't see that happening somehow...

she is 32 now i think, and there are no signs whatsoever of her becoming a mother. she's great with kids, but i don't know if she wants her own.

Some people don't and that's OK too but I really enjoyed having kids x

Morning all, I seem to be the 1st again! I didn't make it to training last night so I will be hitting the gym this morning. Then I am helping on the phonelines for comic relief this evening!

ooh get you taz!! all busy :D

well the office smells rank this morning. actually, it smells like dead mouse. there's no other smell like it. that and the smell of dead feet. i'm going to go down to the other end of the office to see if it smells there too as it's making me feel sick :(

Stinky office abz, strange, here it's all bloody perfume and hair spray.

think i am getting used to it now. since the only other person that came down here couldn't smell it, and i've sniffed me, so i definately don't smell of dead mouse, and i've even looked around for signs of a dead mouse... urgh. maybe it's all in my head!! ooh. someone else has arrived. will get them to sniff!!

well apparently there is definately a smell...

just had a chap come in. turns out it was his last day today and i didn't know. he usually works out of our other office but he works here quite regualarly and he got made redundant last week and he's gone already!! i thought he would be around for a while yet. really sad as i never really got to know him but he was smiling and saying bye and it really can't be a good time :(

abz xx

We're not taking redundancies yet abz, but if any one leaves they are not being automatically replaced.

well we are hoping we are ok here jim as we work pretty much as a skeleton crew most of the time in any case.. but you never know. watching our arses has become a bit of a nightmare.

and thomas's work are firing people. for reasons that are fairly justified, but they aren't going out of their way to keep people, let's just say that. so thomas is really on his toes in case they try and find reasons to cut numbers further. he is one of their best workers. it's just whether or not they realise that.

if either of us lost our jobs we'd be up sh*t creek!!

Ahh..... the wonderful aroma of dead mice!!! Around 30 years ago I was working upstairs in the offices of a cow mill company and they had put poison down for mice. Some to the mice had crawled under the stairs and died and the stench was unimaginable.

The big problem was that the building was listed in the doomsday book and so there was a huge discussion with the local authority about how best to get behind the stairs without causing any damage. Meanwhile we had to work in it and anyone who had to come up to our office with paperwork would wrap a scarf around their mouth and nose first as a precaution. The would rush in, drop the paperwork and say something like "Ooo... I don't know how you can work in THIS" and leave quickly. The truth was we had no choice - these days it would be a health and safety issue!!!

LOL Gem, you are right.

I think everyone is watching their arses at the moment abz. Obviously my job is secure, but not if we went under.

well i think i've gotten used to it now. my colleague can't smell it. i still feel nauseous but then i've always had a really strong sense of smell... and nobody else seems bothered... and maybe i am going mad...

my best mate has been telling me about her sense of smell getting really strong during her pregnancy. god. i'll be smelling the sweat on ant's feet or something!!
