Good morning everyone :character00238:
Sunshine, glorious sunshine and if we believe the weather girl on GMTV there's more to come this week
It's been a good weekend in Wales and as predicted the boys have worn me out. New baby is smiling now, one year old is now walking and three year old is quite demanding and quite determined to get his share of grandparent time.
We took a steady drive to Wales, stopping at Laugharne on the way (only about 4 miles of the road but we've meant to go there for ages and didn't) to have a look at Dylan Thomas's boat house. What a lovely spot - very tranquil, no wonder he got inspiration from being there
While there I bought a copy of "Under Milkwood" with Richard Burton narrating (again something I've been going to do for years) so I'm looking forward to listening to that later. I love Thomas's use of words and the way he sets a scene that you can see in your minds eye.
On Friday evening I joined some people who were playing music in a little bar and had a couple of pints of the black stuff to lubricate the vocal chords (good excuse don't you think?)
The countryside and the hills were beautiful in the sunshine (we usually see it through the mist and rain) and I was able to go walkabouts with my 3 year old grandson and identify some flowers with him - we also stayed quiet and watched a little robin in a bush which amused him no end (until he couldn't contain himself any longer and made a sudden move and the robin flew away).
It looks as though we will briefly see them again next week as they are passing through the area and we'll meet up for an hour or so.
Meanwhile, back home and I've still got the sorting out to do. I took a large bag of books over to my daughter at the weekend. She was pleased with them as some of them she remembered from childhood and will enjoy again through her children
and others were to do with organic gardening which she is hoping to do this year.
Have a great day everyone
