Hey guys!! I may be asking the wrong crowd since no one's weaning yet lol but when weaning do you have to cut back on how much you breastfeed? Rosie still feeds on the boob about 5 times in 24 hours (first thing, before AM nap, before PM nap, night time before bed and once in the middle of the night) and I was wondering if I should actively cut back or if she would cut back herself as she eats more solids? I'm finding this confusing as I don't know if I should increase solids so she's not too hungry for milk or cut back on milk so she's hungrier for solids??? She eats 3 meals a day with a couple of snacks thrown in as well as milk. Help!
Leanne, you don't need any special food for BFing, if you eat big hearty wholesome meals you should be alright(ish) for energy. I say ish cos you'll be shattered from lack of sleep anyway, regardless of what you eat lol! Good luck!
Fernie, if you go to the Odeon website, they do "newbie screenings" specifically for new mums and their babies. You can take your baby with you and breastfeed and everything! The lights are a bit brighter and movie is not as loud. I went once and it was great, there was only one other mum there so it was really lovely. They don't show many movies though, only one a week I think and it could very well be a dodgy movie lol but I was so happy to be out that I didn't care what movie was on (was the new SJP movie which was pretty bad LOL!) You and Joe should go!
