Bren's..... Cruise-ade

I posted twice this morning only to have my post lost! Connectivity on the iPhone.

A good weekend. Had a day off exercise yesterday, but I'm doing a workout onthe bike now as we speak.

Food was good except for 3 protein bars over the weekend. And today I was not dukan prepared. So

Yoghurt and bran
Fresh blueberries
Protein snack bar
Coffee
Yoghurt
2 crackers, one with light smear of peanut paste and the other a slice of mozzarella cheese
Coffee

And now trying to devise dinner?

Because I was not prepared I couldn't stick to dukan today. Also I've been craving fruit. My cousin arrives for 2 days this week and I go on camp 3 days this week. So been thinking about just having PV best I can on these days. Loosing a little strictness really as I think I'm about to plateau.

Still exercise is good :)

Oh and got 80% feeling back in my body:)

Great news about more feeling coming back.
With the exercise you're doing hope you're eating enough.
Hope the non dukan choices doing send you too far off course, but I'm sure if you carry on with the exercise the final few kilos will come off with healthy eating.

Thanks Jaqys!

I opted for a PV meal and it was yum. Hoping I haven't done any major damage to all my hard work. Still going to Dukan, PV tomorrow and going to buy a fresh tuna steak for dinner. Aim is to keep up the exercise, I think I'm eating enough? No food after 7.30 and bed by 10.30.

I think I am loosing momentum due to feeling better in my body and clothes. However with work officially starting on Thurs I am probably just nervous and anxious, what for I don't know? Although we go on camp next Monday for 3 days, and I have alot of work to do still.

Going to bake some muffins and dukan bread for tomorrow.

Yes, the preparation makes a huge difference. I'd be lost without it and would flounder like crazy.

You've only got another 9lbs to lose, Bren. Keep going and you'll get there. I'm sure you're looking fab already, but you'll look and feel incredible after that last 9lbs! (That's the kind of motivation which helped me!)

Very glad to hear that most of the feeling has now returned, too.

Absolutely Bren - don't lose momentum now, so close to goal. Why do you sense a plateau coming on? Your losses have been regular and constant. Have you tried inputting your food into www.myfitnesspal.com to see whether you are eating enough? Did you come out of ketosis with your fruit and bars, do you think?

Glad you're feeling better Bren, you're really close now, so stay motivated and you'll be at goal before you know it! :)

Losses have been regular Jo. Think yesterday was a bad day, busyand a little stressful, didn't help that I wasnt prepared.

I am finding the lack of variety hard. As I only eat tuna, cooked salmon, white fish, prawns, tofu, yoghurt and custard.

In the gym now for 20 and I've made muffins and Dukan bread for today. Don't think the bars have knocked me out of K. Also doesn't help that I have visitors arriving tonight and next week 3 days where food is out of my control with colleagues and students. Knowing that I will not be doing dukan worries me that just by eating little And healthy non dukan friendly I am going to gain back my loss so far :(

Anyway a WI on Thurs and will check scales tomorrow morning just incase the WI is better as I'm having lunch and dinner out on Wed with my visitors.

You sound prepared enough mentally for your 3 days away Bren, I think healthy, even if non-Dukan, must be better than 'falling off the wagon' as I have done the last few days. I have been to hte gym tonight, now I don't know whether to eat or not with it being 9pm. think I will have a bread bun and a low fat yogurt, just to give my body something after the exercise.

Alex best thing is protein after a work out. No carbs. Protein repairs your muscles and u recover quicker. Also only protein in your tummy will make your body use stored fat to process the protein, rather than fat or carb u consume with the protein. :)

Well another small gain on the scales as I nibbled a little muesli last night and I had a PV dinner. Going to guzzle over 3 ltrs of water today in a bid to shift it.

im a bit confused have 'googled' post workout food and it says for optimum muscle repair 4:1 or 2:1 carb:protein ratio

carb to protein ratio not carb:protein

Bren - it's true that your list of foods does look desperately short, and I'm not surprised you're getting bored! aaaaah!

Try not to worry - the days you can, do your utmost to be totally protein only. The days you can't control, do your best with whatever's on offer. BBQs are good cos you can choose then perhaps? Do you have that sort of an option where you'll be?

Irrespective, I'm sure you'll more than compensate with exercise (respecting your recent health problems).

Have you got your back to work menus sorted? Do you eat eggs? Might quiches work for you to add variety?

Good luck for your 3 days away, Bren. I know from experience that it's not easy when you're not in charge of cooking.

Alex Im surprised at that. I use to body sculpt, weight training, and body builders always Have a protein drink before or just after training. That carb ratio is really if u are maintaining, if u want to drop weight pure protein babes.

Well I've had a better day, just had a little pick at the muesli and stopped. Otherwise:

Muffins and coffee
Dukan bread and mozzarella cheese ( not doing that often Jo )
Yoghurt
Coffee and protein bar
Dcoke, salmon and onion with mayo

BBQ is back on. Will make it PV day and have a couple of vodkas and d coke. It's Australia Day! Thurs is first day of school with lunch provided, will go salad. Friday to Sunday is in my hands. Then might bake some dukan muffins to take with me on camp and a couple of protein bars with 2 tins of tuna to have for lunches. Then yoghurt and bran for breakies. Just will have to sneak it!

Protein 8.9
Total fat 3, sat- 1.8
Carb 1.9

100cals

They are more snack bites than bars. Milky way size.

On the bike now for 30! Hoping to burn my muesli off before the morning. Going to WI tomorrow and Thurs and take the lowest for WI. I'm up to 3 ltrs of water, will be just over by bed time!

How u going Hun?

I'm going well.
Good that your bars are pretty low fat (mine are wonderously high, I have great delight in the change of watching just my carbs and not my fat too).
But if they're only small seems like you really are not having a lot.

Totally understand that with the small amount of variety you can have. Its hard to think of low fat suggestions though.

Oh and as on a chat one time Dukan said veggies could have a few spoons of lentils I totally see the museli as your equvalent ;) Well see how weigh in goes and if its not done any harm......

Great on the water.

Oh Im not sure the lentils are on cruise though? Will have to go searching....

Im eating about 3 eggs each day, 700gm of dairy all yoghurt really, 200gm of fish. Perhaps it's not enough?
