Bren's..... Cruise-ade

Use say that after camp and visitors I can just get back to a good routine. Well my plan anyways!
 
Just did a quick tally of my protein total for the day and I'm only eating about 65gm of protein with the snack bar! I weigh 73.9 ATM, so clearly need more protein, meaning more food.
 
Might try making some tuna patties to snack on.
 
Followed your advice and had 3 eggs for tea instead of the ww hotpot x
 
Well a day before WI and a 1pm gain, back up to 72.8. Yesterday I was up 2.5lbs!

My cousin arrived last night and we are having a bBQ today. I will weigh again tomorrow as its WI day but going to take the lowest from today or tomorrow. I think I am not eAting enough protein.

Just doing a work out now15 mins weights and then 30 on the bike.
 
I'm often telling people they're not eating enough but it's not easy for me to gauge yours (without meat). It's really essential to eat enough protein on this diet to avoid muscle wasteage (I read that somewhere). And, of course, if we eat too few calories (some menus here frighten me but I've given up commenting!), we might lose faster initially but the stall will come and then what?

I now input my food into www.myfitnesspal.com to check protein (usually too high in my case) and calories (around 1,300 per day for me) and carbs (30 ish on PP, 50ish on PV). Interesting to see. But I seem to eat more than most so if I'm only at 1,300, well...!!

Hiya Bren - sounds as though you are doing ok. I use fitness pal too most days. Are you back in work now?
 
Back at work today! Exhausted to say the least. Only exercise today is 20mins on the bike now.

Yesterday was protein and veg, by I did have some bread and wine!

Today I'm better but still had a slice of bread, and given the catering at work today no protein for lunch, so I had 2 of my protein bars. Dinner was left over tofu and salad from the bBq. Maybe 2 ltrs of water today.

Back to PP tomorrow and best I can until camp on Monday. Going to take yesterday morning WI of 1pm gain! Going to work on a loss for next Thursday when I'm back from camp.

Atkins was difficult because I was a veggie. I think eating high fat dairy alot instead of meats was what hindered me. I did have a veggie Atkins/low cab book but that didn't help much either. Dukan is easy to stick with and low fat.

Today I am aiming for no carbs! BBq was planned. Yesterday was out of my control, couldn't really sit at a first school function and whip out my lunch and not eat what others were.

As for camp im a year 11 coordinator and first week back of the new year we go to camp for 3 days.

Just doing 15 in the gym now and then a quick 10 on the bike.
 
Yep. 16 turning 17.

Did you loose at all on Atkins hun? And how are you doing getting back itno DUkan?

Hi ya hun!

No just finalizing my staff camp packs and the student medical forms. Got to buy some camp clothing that is casual, but covers my back tattoo! I dont like the kids to know that I have one.

Going to bake some Dukan muffins and take my own yoghurt for breakfast and tuna tins for lunch. Possibly some boiled eggs too.? Also got a physio apt to help with the little bit of numbness that I still have.

What are you up to? How is low carb going? Are you doing a little Atkins then?

Sounds a good plan, lol at covering the tattoo, making sure kids dont know you have a life away from school ;)

Low carb is going okay I think, enjoying it for now.

I'm out with my building tonight, chores on sat then hopefully a lazy day sunday - with a bit of food prep and hopefully a movie, might watch the tennis.

Bren I was just checking the Dukan FAQ and vegetarians - definitley do try adding some lentils. He says:


  • | I am a vegetarian, may I follow your diet programme? First of all, are you really sure you refuse meat and fish? If the answer is yes you will have to adjust your diet by introducing soy steaks, tofu, a lot of dairy products, eggs (one yolk for three whites). You will have to increase your consumption of oat bran to 4 tablespoons per day. You also will have to take two tablespoons of lentils per day on your PP day, but when you are on PV you can eat as much as you want.

Oh thanks Anja, I do remember reading that and just didnt retain it?! I had my lentils this morning. It does make for more recipes just by adding those. :)

I am afraid to report that I was not able to stick with Dukan over the camp and know that I indulged in a choc brownie :eek: and a battered piece of fish and 4 protein bars. Going to really cut back on these and only have as a desparate measure rather than every afternoon with my coffee :rolleyes:

So easing back into Dukan today with PV but i am going to a party and will have to drive, so only 1 v/d.

Did 30 mins on the bike this morning and 50 sit ups. Going to do some more this afternoon too. I baked muffins for breakfasts Mon_Fri next week last night. Going to make some dukan bread tomorrow and do the shopping.

Dont even want to know the number on the scales as my measurements put me back at the beginning of Jan? :eek::eek::eek:

I will WI on Thursday and plan to do 3 days of Attack starting Monday. My plans for tomorrow will be Dukan PV best as I can and hopefully no dinner out with hubby? Other wise will suggest some where to eat PV.

Hope everyone is doing well and I will try and catch up on diaries etc by the end of the weekend.
