I can't remember what the others decided - shall I try for 3 or 4 rooms? I have tried to get these hotel room specials before and they go very quickly.

Have I missed anyone? I thought I'd try for 7 double/twin rooms and hopefully, if we get them all, there will be spares for anyone else who wants to come - at £9 a night, I can cope with that I just rang Travelodge and I can book them all in my name.

I just rang Travelodge and I can book them all in my name.

that's good, i didn't think that would be able to be done, and was worrying that we wouldn't all manage to get booked in the same one!

I'd love to come but my oh is working and can't book any more holiday unless the day he's booked for his friends birthday in february gets rejected in the new year. If I could get a £9 room I'd say sod it cos if I only manage 1 day I wouldn't care about losing £9 lol. I'll speak to him if he ever wakes from his 'nap' this afternoon lol

The more the merrier, Steve - so far, not much of an itinerary worked out yet -

Friday night - meet at whichever hotel we get for drinks and then dinner somewhere
Sat - a few of us are going to Crufts to support Vicky and her sausage doggies; then dinner somewhere - hopefully Jim is meeting us for curry (maybe join us then so you don't feel too outnumbered? )
Sun - heading back to our various homes.

Might be some shopping in there somewhere too, I haven't been to Brum for years so wouldn't mind a nose around the Jewellery Quarter.

Any other suggestions are more than welcome
