I suppose we could stick with the Travelodge, £54 a night? That's central. I don't fancy nitenite (no windows would make me claustrophobic)

Travelodge family rooms have a double, a single sofabed, and a single pull-out from under that bed, so possibly could do three people on a budget sleeping separately - or a family of 4, like us.

If it's close to the action, might be worth considering?

OK I've got a much better suggestion - Holiday Inn Express Central is v close to Brindley Place, take no time to get there from New Street Station, and great for restaurants and bars. It has an early booking special of £49 a night for family room (double bed and sofa bed)
