Brum's-diddly-done!! Has anyone seen some lost livers?

Susie, if you do get any £9 rooms, could you book one for me and my family? Little chance we will actually get to come, but at £9 for the four of us I can afford to lose it!

That would be 2 adults + 2 kids - if that matters in the grand travelodge scheme of things. :) Can pay by paypal, or cheque, or a tenner in an envelope if it came to that! :)

And mine! And yes hun Mark too. Im leaving him for 4 poss 5 days in Jan to go to colchester on a course so i dont think he'll want me going off on my own again. May poss need a family room but hoping to get oliver looked after so we can enjoy ourselves and not worry

Oh yes of course - crufts will be huuuuuge business! D'oh!

Although my daughter would absolutely die from happiness to see that many doggy things all in one place. Oooooooooooooooooh I so want to go! :(

Yes I wish you were coming too - but you never know, things might change and you will be able to make it - I have good practice at sleeping in a bathtub so there will be room for all LOL

Bren you're so tiny I could fit you in my coat pocket petal - I'm an absolute Amazon in comparison. And Susie, nobody should ever have to sleep in the bath. ;)

Might go and work on hubby again - even if I had to take the kids all by myself, I'd get some of the daytime fun! And Crufts would be a massive draw for the pair of them. :)

Do it, Water - come with us, because -

1. It will be fun
2. We get to meet each other
3. We get to cheer Vicky and her kiddies on
4. It will be fun

Nuff said.

Ahhh, you're such a sweetie Susie. x

Will seriously consider all you have said (particularly points 1 and 4) and get back to you. :D

0605 reporting back on the hotel situation

The only £9 rooms are for Sunday, the rest are £55 per night.

I'm going to bed with a cup of tea and an ice pack to the head, let the little grey cells come up with another scheme...

Right, here are some other choices -

http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUser...m_West_Midlands_England.html#CHECK_RATES_CONT
This one is in Hopwood, so countryside - but rave reviews

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...r_Hotel-Birmingham_West_Midlands_England.html - Good reviews, not central

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...n_Hotel-Birmingham_West_Midlands_England.html - again, not central (but we won't get that on our budget) but decent reviews since new management

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...5_Jct_2-Birmingham_West_Midlands_England.html - same as above, very good reviews

Menzies Strathallan Birmingham, Birmingham | LateRooms.com - better reviews, just singles and doubles (no twins) for £44 a night

More central -
Nitenite - £50 a night
Ibis - £51, then £61

What do you think?
