Busybusy's 4 week challenge

Usually do my measurements on thurs, well technically my mate does them form me, I've cancelled until Monday as that's when I had planned to WI and it'll just be depressing for me if I've sts. I'm hoping to see some change from doing the egg fast.

Taken some pics and happy to see I've shaved off muffin a bit and smoothed over hips. Hurray for kettleworx and ladan. So glad something is paying of. Really was the boost I needed to get through.

Gonna see if I can manage the egg fast for another day or 2.

Wow Busy!!!!! You look fab!!! Seriously you have nothing to worry about, I would completely forget about the scales as they are obviously not worth bothering about! xx
 
OMG Busy you can really see a difference - and in just two weeks! That is brilliant, and very inspiring :)

I'm getting my walking dvd back out starting tomorrow (got an IBS tum today, I think any fast movements might be asking for trouble :eek:) - my fitness has gone way way down, puffing every step, so I'm really looking forward to improving it.

Awe suse I'm so happy to hear that xx. Just start of with little steps and soon you'll see progress and want to do more and that'll make you want push yourself further and further. I know I go ooooon and ooooon about it but it really is win win for not only body but more importantly mind xx.

Ps. No strenuous stuff build up to it let your body guide you x

Thanks Tee, Im glad i did the kettlebell chsllenge. it's just annoying not seeing scales move. I think I'm gonna ignore them now

Wow busy you are looking incredible.......it's so inspiring and when my workout stuff gets here I am going to re look at your pics to push me, I would love your figure so ignore the scales and stop letting it get you down. You are clearly going in the right direction. D you really want to be 9 something but with flab Nd no muscle? Nahh you are doing just fine!
 
Thoroughly depressed this morning. 2days of pure egg fast and no loss. I'm exhausting possibilities and options.

Yesterdays menu

B 2soft boiled eggs
L 4 scrambled eggs
D 2 pieces roast chicken thigh.

Last night the clan had daal and rice and homemade pakoras, which were made by me. I was sooo tempted but resisted, felt so deprived.

The interesting thing is I've not seen a loss but I'm not seeing a gain either. I'm just stuck.
 
Dare I say it.........looking into low cal or dukan. I love atkins but right now it's not working for me. I haven't lost for 9 weeks.

I'm not sure exactly because I didn't measure in the beginning as I always lose on atkins. But the last few weeks I've lost upto 5-8 cms. Which is 2.5&gt; inches.

I'm thinking of doing a dukan experiment for a week but keeping my diary on here, if its permitted.

Today is last day of our 2wk kettlebell challenge, I'm glad I did it, are you? Time to reflect, self critique and move it up a notch for next week! :-D
 
Ok time to reflect on the 2week kettlebell challenge set by me and tee. I really enjoyed doing this as it meant I wasn't focusing so much on scales or even diet. On some occasions I just wanted to keep going after the 20mins and so ended up doing another workout video.

Benefits I noticed were not just physical but mental too. It makes you feel good that your doing something and making time for yourself. I've had to leave things and step over the mess to make time for workout but it hasn't bothered me. I've felt energised and tough to tackle the rest of the day, I've been sleeping so well at night.

And from yesterday's post you can see I've toned up too. Hadn't seen my mum for few weeks and she said she couldn't believe how much I'd shrunk, especial waist and arms, and that my face looked skinnier with more definition in my cheekbones.

I guess it also shows you don't need the gym or expensive machines. Now I'm looking forward to the next challenge.

Ok, I'm doing a dukan experiment for a week. Got the book but following online meal planner until I get it all. Understand so far that's its low carb low fat. Basically you cycle 1/1 or 5/1 pure protien pp days vs protien and veg pv days. 2 tablespoons of oat bran, at least 1.5lwater and minimum 2mins of exercise everyday.

Day so far has been marvellous, had my 2tablespoon bran porridge made with alpro for B, 3boiled eggs for lunch, 1/4 chick breast grilled for snack and for tea I'll be having a 0carb lamb curry (I'm stir frying boiled lamb in non stick wok with spices and min oil).

Haven't felt deprived all day, so glad I've taken myself out of the meat and egg prison! Yesterday I craved everything but today I'm ok. Especially enjoyed the porridge as it reminded me of childhood my mum would always make it if we were ever ill.
 
Will be watching this with interest Busy, came so close to doing this but would be holiday during the second phase and would have been a disaster. Can't wait to see how you get on with Dukan. A couple work colleagues lost a lot on this. Good luck x

Thanks Val, I love atkins but Im not losing anything despite tweaking and trying. it's thanks to your guidance I started reading around and thus seemed like a good option. Completely agree with you wanting to enjoy your holiday before setting on anything x.

I'm starting on the second 'cruise' phase as I'm already in ketostis and don't think I'll benefit anything from attack. So far so good though.
 
Will be interested how you get on Busy, have you decided on the next challenge? I'm going to stick with kettlenetics for another few weeks see if I can tone up some more. Glad you are sticking around :)

i will be watching with eagle eyes for this, low carb, low fat you should lose loads. It's Perfect sense.
will you still post your menus? I'd love to see exactly what you are eating on this.
good luck with it :) maybe even the change in allowed foods will be enough to excite and kick start some weight loss.
