If your struggling with the food couldn't u have a little salad? Or just some tuna or chicken?? It won't kick you out of ketosis but it might stop your food cravings?? Or what about having a bar as then you can eat something on plan?
Hope your ok tonight get another early night if you need to!!

I'm back on plan today and I'm feeling hungry so ill be getting an early night too and will feel great in the morning :D xx
 
I'm hanging on in there - been out for a bit, and am now chomping and chomping and chomping each tiny square of my chopped up bar to minuscule pieces before I swallow to prevent any food thoughts entering my head. Sat next to dd on the sofa whilst she finishes off last nights leftovers....................never knew I had such willpower but again recognise food cravings as habits, rather than hunger. More learning!

Off to bed in a bit as everyone is getting on my last remaining nerve - I'm a delight to be around ;)

Morning.

So survived the weekend (just) and am looking forward to a good week. Wondering how I am going to watch 2 weeks of Wimbledon with no strawberries........that's never been done before chez moi!

I think I've worked out the head messing of the weekend - I think it's because with 25lbs down, my head is saying 'you look better now, your clothes fit brilliantly, and there is now no immediate pressing need to diet so please eat whatever comes your way' - classic previous diet mentality. This is a mental blockage which needs breaking through. Nothing to do with food, or hunger, just to do with more bad habits. I think I've lost and gained this 25lbs over and over in the last 5 years, got to a comfortable place clothes wise, and crept back up. Not this time though, this time is different.

So it's a mango/chilli/lemon+hot choc day today, with copious amounts of water, and a trip to the gym. Tomorrow is 4 weeks. Friday is one month. I can do this!!!

Big hurrahs from me!!! I know how hard it is to get by those moments, they seem to come in waves - one minute you're fine and the next you could tackle the pizza moped on the street! You are doing fabulously! You ARE looking and feeling better .... You WILL look and feel even better .... and better and better .... you will never regret not breaking your diet so try and have something you can look at when you're in those moments to try and snap you out of it (its almost like a trance I think!)! Maybe a picture of you slimmer? Or a picture you hate? Anything that will help. You are a freaking star!!
 
Thanks plum! I have hideous fat pictures taken from all angles on my phone, which do work as a reminder.......you're right,it is a sort of trance.


Had a great day all round, managed the gym, and some step aerobics this eve. Plus I've just bought some resistance bands and will give them a go for some toning. I'm keen to stay as active as possible as this keeps the hunger at bay and helps sleep. I'm also keen to avoid the flabby look once all the fat disappears. I don't do too much, but enough to stay active and a little bit sweaty! It also helps with water consumption. Which is all good.

I definitely find the weeks easier than the weekends. It makes all the difference to have the routine of work, and life to stay busy and focused. I'm going to have to think through the pressures of weekends, to see if there is anyway to manage them better for me.

So much learning to do isn't there? It's not just the diet, it's the head shifting that has to happen. I'm seeing that more and more.

Yeah, I loved the lemon bar when I first had them but then .... I really like the choc orange. I feel like I'm having Terry's choc orange! Because I'm having so little (and food is important to me) I have to really enjoy all that I'm having. As soon as I'm not, I switch.

Did a sneaky self weigh this am - looking like the next number down is within reach............ This is where the mid week weigh ins motivate! Yay yay yay! I'd love to break through into a new number this week :)

It's 4 weeks today since I began. I'd never have thought I could lose about 2 stone by now :) wearing my old 20's which have a little gap at the waist already!

Good day so far. Managed a speed walk, some weights at home, plus a cheeky 10 mins high intensity step aerobics. It felt good! I'm liking exercise :)


I had several 'have you lost I weight' comments today which was nice. Still felt a numpty saying yes, but it felt good. It is starting to show. 4 weeks ago I never expected to be here, so who knows what the next 4 weeks will bring? It's exciting!

Have had a shower as per usual and suddenly noticed the towel going further round the old bod! Small victories eh?

Planning the rest of the week - off out at the weekend both days so I think I need to have a definite plan for then. Coke zero and 4 sachets I think!

I've not tried the cranberry one, I tried the lemon one tonight and really enjoyed it :)

Your activity is awesome! I'm afraid I've been very lazy but have great plans :) I know exactly what you mean about the small victories - they feel pretty massive! The towel thing is fab - I long for the days when I don't automatically want to buy bath sheets! Crossing legs, tray table down on a plane, tight chairs, public transport - just a few of mine I'm really looking forward to or checking off. And when they ask you if you're losing weight, feel proud of yourself cos you are and it's hard work!!! You go girl!

Am serving strawberries and cream to my tribe, so annoying. But not tempted to nibble weirdly.
