Cheekychinchilla's food and stuff

I keep telling Mum to hurry up and get high rate disability :p I want a Skoda! LOL!

Now that I've had to spend money on my car and I'll have to spend more - want the other pair of tyres doing and a service - I'm going to keep it till it doesn't work any more ;)

Just SO annoyed!x

Glad it finally passed the MOT though- does that mean it is good to go now or is there still crap with the place you bought it from happening? Seat ect??

Ah, I'm not 100% Joss fan girl just a total Buffy nerd really :D grew up with it and loved it!
X

Buffy will always be my favourite tv show ever. I grew up with it too :D But I am a total Joss fan girl I have to say.

STILL waiting for a seat for the car. I emailed them yesterday while I was waiting for the tyres to be fitted and explained the situation. Got a really sh*tty email back from them basically saying "We've given you money, paid for your MOT, and trying to get you a seat" end of! I didn't expect anything extra from them, was just telling her what had happened.
And when I said they'd booked me a day past the MOT date she blamed it on me saying I asked for a day between Tues and Fri. Which I did, but I didn't realise there was no leeway with MOT's (never owned a car before) and she picked the last day possible to book it. Which ,eant I had to get all the stuff done yesterday so I could drive legally!
Ah well, it's done now and at least I know my car is safer and I technically didn't spend my money - just some of the money they gave me. Still annoyed, but bugger all I can do.

Got some bad news yesterday that put yesterday in to perspective though. My fake brother's Mum probably has throat cancer :( She's going for biopsies next week, which I thought was to see if she had it. But Caz text to tell me they're basically testing to see at what stage she's at. Sh*t! My Dad died from oral and throat cancer

Think I'm going to have a quiet day today. Had a decent sleep. Had weird dreams and one of them was Will Smith coming to visit - like he does lol. Might be going to the cinema later, but will see how I feel.

Going to forage for something for lunch.x

Ah sorry to hear about your dad & your step brothers mums diagnosis - head & neck cancer is probably one of the worst cancers imaginable - thinking of you xxx

It was a good few years ago now. 7 I think - I'm terrible with dates! He only lasted 6 months after diagnosis and was only 49 :( Not a nice thing to see someone go through.
In the end he couldn't talk coz he had to have a tracheotomy :(

I really really hope that they have either gotten Tim's diagnosis wrong or that they've caught it super early! The problem my Dad had was that for months his Dr and dentist said he had mouth ulcers  So his was very progressed by the time they found it! So hoping she has a good Dr :) x

Oh bloody hell .. That's awful .. It's common for head n neck cancer to be misdiagnosed - makes you realise how important the dentists visits are eh .. So sorry about your dad, that's no age that!
But, Caught early & it can be operated on .. Ile keep my fingers crossed its early days .. My grandads sister was diagnosed with end stage head & neck cancer, which is also inoperable :(

Xxx

It's crap isn't it?! Such an awful place. He did have some surgeries and some radiotherapy. But they couldn't control it or slow it down. He went to the dentist and Dr many times and they kept just saying it was mouth ulcers. Got to the point where he couldn't eat before they took him seriously! He got diagnosed (finally!) in March, but I remember the Christmas before he couldn't eat his dinner :( So must have been there for quite a while.

Doesn't help keep me calm in my situation either. With it all taking so long!! I know it is very very unlikely to be anything that serious, but you can't help but worry can you?!

Oh god! Must have been hell :(
I think it's more recognised now as a very serious cancer - it's a shame it wasn't detected earlier tho ... Not fair atall !!

Must be hard not to think of that when your going through tests but .. Hopefully you will get your appt soon .. Stress over emphasises symptoms I think & you have had a lot of that recently .. Hard not to worry but just try and think of the positives - which is hard for you right now!
Sending virtual hugs xxx

I can't even explain what it was like :(

I have my referral appointment on Wednesday. FINALLY! Not going to book the ultrasound yet as I'll ask that Dr whether it's necessary. Will see what he/she says abotu everything!
Just need to go see my Dr Monday morning for latest test results (prolactin) and probably a sick note :( It's only crossed my mind a few times that it could be something serious. I doubt it very, very much. But still, you can't help it can you?! Esp as it's been bad enough to have me out of work a month already :(

Oh well...

I had a good night anyway. Saw Despicable Me 2 first and loved it. Laughed so much I cried! Then we saw World War Z. That completely threw me. I knew it wouldn;t be like the book, but it also wasn't what I was expecting from the trailer. I liked it and found it interesting. But I think that needs a second watch too. Good job I have an Unlimited card LOL.

Oh and I didn't cave in to anything!! Just had my little bag of biscuits and a Fibre Plus :D My friend got a hot dog AND pic & mix - which I thought was a bit mean. I asked her to stop me from buying sweets, then she gets some :( :sigh: But I was good anyway! Felt good to not give in I have to say. I was bloody starving as well! x

We went to see world war z !! I thought it was really good ... Me & hubs love zombie films :) xx

Seriously impressed that you didnt cave to pick and mix when your friend was eating them right next to you!! Luckily my friends are too poor for pick and pix and I've set massive rules with G sonhe has to eat so extremely discretly or feel my wrath :p but yeah, go you! Awesome, day on plan :D bet that feels good! And syns to spare!

I think I would hunt down the dr who misdiagnosed and kick him repetatively. I cant imagine the hatred everyone must feel for that doctor to have cost your dad.his life :( so, so awful. Finfers tightly crossed that your issue is thyroid and that once it is medicated for it never bothers you again and sorts out all of your problems!!
X

Hey guys!

I think I liked World War Z. But I'm a massive fan of the book - one of the very few I've re-read. And I don't think anyone who made the film has actually read the book :/ But, if you ignore that and view it as a stand alone it's pretty interesting! But yeah, I'm very mixed by it. They definitely did I Am Legend it, but to an even greater extent.

Zombies are one of my things. Always have been :)

Despicable Me 2 is very funny. It did have a few slow bits, which is surprising for a kids film! But overall it was very good :D

Ah Tetris, the angers gone now. You just can't keep it going. We left that practice when my Dad was diagnosed. We also bumped in to old neighbours who moved for the same reason - 2 of their family had been mis-diagnosed and died :(

I am really pleased I didn't give in at the pictures. I was SO hungry as well! I almost even offered to stop at McDonald's on the way back. I don't even like McDonalds, but I was SO hungry! I'd eaten well before and taken snacks, but maybe yesterday was just a hungry day. Plus, I've been living off sugar lately so I was probably craving that out of habit too I guess.

Oh God I wish a thyroid diagnosis would be the end of it. But it's not. If it is thyroid it can be quite difficult to get the medication dose right, you can fluctuate quite a bit, and I'd have to have blood tests forever and ever :( But at least it would give me an answer. Not one I want, so I do hope they can find something simpler. But it is difficult trying to work out what would be best!x

The book is fantastic! Tetris will disagree ;) But I loved it! The book is set AFTER the war and the reporter speaks to people who have survived and how they survived and you get to know stories from people all around the world. I have to say, the opening 'scene' from the book (probably the origin of the outbreak) has stayed with me!

I am sad about the film because there wasn't much of a link to the book at all - even the ending, how the humans survive, and the actual zombies are very different! And obv all my favourite stories were missed. They did miss a MASSIVE chance at some cool underwater stuff as well. Hrmph.

But yeah, if you liked the film I would recommend the book. Totally! There's a small, kinda side story book too that's worth getting if it's cheap :)

I keep referencing it, but if you've seen and read I Am Legend you'd see how it's quite similar how they've made it 'movie friendly'. I only read I Am Legend last year and at first I was a bit "wtf?!" But I have to say I enjoyed both the book and film immensely, even though they are vastly different too.

I can safely say it is one of my favourite books. And I don't even read horror lol! The closest I've gotten is teen horror by Darren Shan ;)

I'll stop raving now...
