Cheekychinchilla's food and stuff

Haha! It was "Quick! Find something in the fridge to eat that I don't have to syn!" Lol. I was staaaarving! Weetabix always fills me up quickly, so never feel like anything else just after.
But it took ages to do my hair today - 2 different coloured foils, a base colour, and a decent cut. So she was here for hours! Was bloody starving. So hard a nice big carby tea and a huge pile o' veg. Definitely over 1/3 lol.

Off to bed to read. Got my referral tomorrow. Eeeep!! Mum's coming with me and we're doing a late lunch/early tea at the veggie place and then the cinema :D I'm not going to promise there wont be either dessert or pic & mix

Ooo this veggie place sounds great !! I wanna go :(
Good luck for tomo hun, let us no how you get on :) xxx

We should have a mini-meet in Liverpool ;) I'll show you round all the cool stuff!!

Just had a little breakie - raspberries, cherries, and a Shape. Feel a bit sick though and wibbly and like my bum's going to explode :p

It's just nerves, I know, but still.

Styled my hair myself this morning and it looks pretty good, I have to say. Will try and get a pic. I hate hair pics tho!!

I nearly peed myself when I read this, images of exploding bots came flashing through my head :D
Hope everything went ok today x x x

Hey all!
No exploding bums, but I did have an interesting* day.
I had to wait like an hour to be seen but got called in by a lovely lady who explained my Dr's wife had gone in to labour. Well, I'll let him off I suppose ;)
The lady I saw was wonderful - that's seriously the best way to describe her! She listened, she wrote done ALL the things (had to keep going for extra paper), took my printed list of symptoms and small diary and put the in my case notes :). She has ordered 24 blood tests. Yup, f*cking TWENTY FOUR!!! But she even offered to come with me! Like on another day so I could have my diazapam! I told her it was fine and I'd just be off my face no matter who does it. But she actually offered to come do them for me. How freakin'g awesome is that?! Anyway, yes, 24.... And that's only for now. She wanted more but said I might not be able to cope :sigh:
Also she wants me to book the thyroid scan, she wants head and abdomen scans, and a 24hr ECG. Today I had an ECG and chest X-ray.
Well, sh*t! That's a lot of stuff isn't it?!

She seems to be leaning towards autoimmune. She says that I am completely, classic hypothyroid (I KNOW!) but my bloods aren't playing along. But she's thinking it may be something along similar lines.
She did keep saying things like " I don't think you have anything wrong here, but I want to scan/test just in case" If that makes sense? Looking, but not expecting to find.

She wrote down how much my job means to me and how much I want to go back to work :) My revisit appointment is set at 6 weeks, but she said as results come in if anything flags they will get in touch with me before then. She said they do check results as they appear. So that's good :)

Interested to do the 24hr ECG. That should be muchos fun. I mean scientific. I mean, lotsa fun ;)

But, being honest, I'm a bit bloody scared! I feel a bit better now I've had time to think and I've watched Brad Pitt killing zombies again :) But yeah, wouldn't mind some hugs and encouraging words and stuffs :)

Oh and I had Mac & cheese with salads, and one slice of wholemeal garlic bread at the veggie places. And some chocolatey pic & mix at the cinema. Not bad considering I'd only eaten fruit & yogurt!xx

*horrific & terrifying

I also got weighed while I was there. They're seriously obsessed with weight and blood aren't they?! But, the good news is I'm round about the same weight I was a month ago :) Can't remember exactly coz I wouldn't update my ticker or stats :p But I'll do it now.

I was 72.2kg today :) So only 1kg over my lowest weight so far. Not so bad. I really feel like I've put on loads and some of my clothes are a bit tight, but, I dunno

Oh and we should all definitely have a get together if anyone would like to :D x

Well well, haven't you been busy at the doctors - 24 blood tests .. Wow!!!!
It seems that you have finally met someone who is taking you seriously & has time for their patients .. After all, surely a doctor should be listening to their patients nowadays, now were allowed to choose our treatment - why not rule something out before it gets too serious - nhs are all for waiting til someone is practically dying before they wanna treat! So well done you for finally getting someone who understands how the system SHOULD work !! As for the 24 hour ECG - precautionary - if your having all those blood tests - one that 'detects' heart conditions will Defo be in that lot, so why not have a further look 'incase' ..... As for your thyroid - omg - why don't they just give you some levothyroxine ?? A low dose and see if your symptoms improve ... Xxx

Just rem - no news is good news (re: the blood tests once their done) I seriously think its your thyroid x

Hahaha! I think it's my thyroid too!! Cause it bloody well is ;)

Not looking forward to the blood tests - will prob go Tues. It's when Mum's next free in the morning. Hate mornings but it'll be quieter.

Oh don't worry. I have a heart condition. Been a heart patient my entire life. Even got the big f*ck off scar to prove it ;) I have hole in the heart. I had the main hole fixed and a valve fixed too when I was about 2 years old. So had open heart surgery. But I have a few holes that open and close as they please and leak everywhere. Also have a pulmonary stenosis, but apparently it's in a better place than the usual ones.
It's a wonder I'm still alive ;) So I'm used to ecg's, chest x-rays, chest ultrasounds, etc. Just never had the 24hr ECG. And like a big geek I'm looking forward to that ;)
The scans and stuff don't bother me either. Most medical stuff doesn't bother me to be honest, mostly just blood tests and some more invasive things.
So at least the other stuff I can handle. Just not the gallon of blood they want :jelous: Diazapam will truly be my friend that day!

So many on plan days :D f*ckig awesome, lady! *pat on the back* Keep it up and I'll give you another ;D

Ah I missed that part where you said you had heart conditions - in fact my mum prob has a matching scar - she has a metal valve & you can hear her ticking like the crocodile in hook ;) had her chest cracked too .. Eeek! I'm no doc but I'd prescribe you levothyroxine ;) I didn't have any mad scans when I was diagnosed, doc just prescribed it xx

*WARNING* Lots of medical/surgical TMI in this post!!!!!!!

Oooh a bionic heart :D Lol! One day we'll have them!! If you put you hand on my chest over my heart you can feel the blood wooshing! I LOVE watching people's faces when they first listen to my heart.
When my work friend was having heart palpitations and had a 24hr ecg I told her about my stuff and we went in to a quiet theatre and I let her listen to my chest. Her reaction? "How are you still alive?!" :8855: Yeah, thanks for that! lol

I don't have any fake bits. But I was patched up with silk - quite nice ;) I may need the horrible sounding balloon thing doing at some point, to widen any bits, but I try not to think about that. Imagine how much diazapam I would need for that?! Would be off my face for a week :p

Yeah, I've had the full works, big incision (top of chest to an inch or two above belly button), chest cracked, wired back together, etc... The wire's dissolved now, so you can't see it on x-rays. Lame! lol.

The whole "You're typical thyroid but not" is getting rather annoying. I wonder if they can do further thyroid tests other than TSH and free T4?! Not that I want more friggin' tests like!xx

Nothing fazes me - wow, I wanna listen !!!! You sound cool ;)

Haha! The warning was for anyone else, not you :p I love medical stuff! Always have done. I love being in consultations with our vets and seeing the diagnostic process. And I LOVE being in theatre too ;)

I guess it's good they're being thorough and stuff and are looking and ruling things out. But it's pretty much right in your face that it's a thyroid problem isn't it?! :sigh:

Ah well, will jump through some more hoops and see.

****** knows what I'm going to do with work. Coz obv they wont give me treatment till all these tests are at least done. Going to hopefully see my boss tomorrow and see what we can come up with.
If there's any way I could do light-ish duties for a while just so I could be back in work! There are some things I can think of that wouldn't put me or anyone/anything in danger. But depends if they'll let me. God damnit I WANT to work!! Lol. I'm not after going on the sick or disability or anything, I want to keep my job! Grrr....

Anyway, I might head to bed and read for a bit and try and chill out.

Just texting the boy to sort out our date. Eeek!xx
