Cheekychinchilla's food and stuff

Huh! Something happened at the vets today. The vet had been quiet with me all day and just as I was about to leave he askd to speak to me. Took me in to pharmacy and shut the door *gulp* He asked if I would want to do some reception work for them  :D
I don't know anything at all about hours and pay and the likes coz he had two patients waiting and had to run. But the practice manage knows my situation, so I dunno. But if it's under 16hours I will have to get in touch with my old advisor at the job centre and talk about permitted work. But if it's over 16hours (unlikely, but you never know!) it would be absolutely perfect because I get a lot of extra help because I've been out of work through ill health for such a long time. So if by some miracle it is 16hrs + it would kinda solve most of my problems!! Trying not to get myself too excited, even though it's exciting anyway

Snack: Fibre Plus (HexB2) and a Curly Wurly (6)

Thank you :D I'm still rather shocked about it all to be honest, lol! I've looked in to the whole work rules thing and it looks like if it is under 16hours I should be able to do permitted work for up to a year. But if it's 16 or over it would pretty much solve most of my problems and get me going again. It's just what Ive been waiting for!!! trying to stay sensible and not get too excited, but you know....SQUEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! :D

Oh, other good news of the day. Ordered a size 16 top from a catalogue sale (got the 18 but thought it was a little big) and it fits! A 16!! :D

Still rather shocked about yesterday. Thing is though, I'm not worried or panicking, which is a good thing right?! I'm more excited to be honest! The only thing I am worried about is the whole benefits/hours thing, but I can't do anything until I know what's what anyway. So yeah, still feeling pretty good! Really feel like this could be the start of things finally starting to go well

I don't go to class, just to my local Boots. But I was out all day Wednesday and didn't get a chance, then just forgot lol.
Shocked in a good way :D I've been having such a tough time lately and part of it was worrying about finding work and frustration of doing absolutely everything right and still not finding anything. Worried about hours, but wont know anything until at least Tuesday. Eeeeep!

I knew I shouldn't have gotten so excited :( Turns out that I took it the wrong way and the 'job' was just training so I can be on reception as it will look good on my CV. Absolutely gutted! I know it's still a good opportunity, but I've spent the last 4 days thinking I'd finally been given a chance and had a job. Just so disappointed :( When will things ever go right for me?!

I think the cake had pineapple in. It was very subtle, but really nice.

Sorry to hear the job's not what you expected. Once you are trained though, you know you'll be first in line when something does come up...
Good luck for WI :)

I think, or I hope, that I am next in line when the part timer leaves. She's finished her college course now and is looking for a trainee nurse position. But god knows how long that will be-it's so hard to get in to this business :(
It's just frustrating because I have a lot of qualifications (a lot of animal care/nursing related ones too) and I have a LOT of experience and I'm still not getting anywhere

I even tried to print out CV's and letters to send out and the printer is broken!! It's brand new as well, only been used a couple of times. So I've had to email HP

I did end up having a nice afternoon and evening tho. Watched Hot Fuzz, walked Ellie, and then took Davey out to meet up with my best mate and his dog. We had a wander round and went to the pub for a drink and a chat :)

What a shame you were mislead, however, it is a great opp and as you say you are next in line...shall we bump the other lady off for you lol?

Glad you've made the most of the afternoon, it would have been very easy to go home and go back to bed or worst still eat!

Big hug as always, donnax

ps good luck for wi

Thank you Donna :D

Nah, lol, I'm really good friends with the part timer now. So it would be quite sad to see her leave, although I think we would stay in touch. LOL!

I was tempted to come home and eat the whole tub of Phish Food frozen yogurt I bought yesterday, but I didn't and the lid is still sealed :)

I don't know if I'm going to be able to weigh in tomorrow now. Going in to town with my Mum and I had 2 options for getting weighed at Boots. But now we have to go in to town via the Dr's/chemist so I wont be going past either Boots  Don't know if I can go another whole week without getting weighed!!!
