Chelsea Lou - The Ventura adventure, not a sinking ship!

Yeah Chels... I'll be 50 this year and feel better than I did at 30! I hope you get your jobs done and enjoy the sense of accomplishment that comes with ticking something off the never-ending 'to do' list.

Mel, I have to take credit for the Hugh Jarse I'm afraid!! I have silly names that I put on the bottom of my emails, to give colleagues/friends a giggle. Some of them are a bit too rude to repeat on here in front of all you lovely ladies

I confess that my jobs have kinda got pushed to one side. Drove into town early this morning for my eye test. Horror of all horrors, my reading glasses have to be upgraded to varifocals plus the Opthalmist said that my eyes were very dry and need protection from the sun so have to have prescription sunglasses. What sun??? He asked if I was a sun-worshipper, cooking on a beach all summer. Absolutely not. I love the sun but have to sit in the shade where possible, as it gives me a headache and makes me grumpy. The Opthalmist was the most gorgeous and charming man ever!!! Latif was his name and he was very attentive, very young and very married. Bugger, why did I decide that today would be a good day to go without makeup and my hair was only a tiny bit in need of a wash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I drove home, some £240 less well-off and walked down to the village to the hairdressers and have booked an appointment to have a few slices of caramel and a little bit of blonde, for the sun-kissed look. When I collect my specs in two weeks I want to look all luscious hair, made-up and slimmer for Latif. Move over Eric..........:D

I'm now having a surf plus watching/listening to England stuff the Italians in the rugby. Jobs? What jobs? lol xx

PS, clicked on the link with you and THE shirt!!! Very touristy lol lol xx

Hi Chels --

My DH wears varifocals. He has had some difficulty adjusting to them -- but I think the first pair he was wasn't quite right and they weren't adjusted properly. He is doing better with his new ones.

I have specs for driving at night and for reading -- but do not really need either, yet. But, I can see the writing on the wall... just barely. lol

I hope England won.

Flobble, flibble, wibble dibble :p:p

SS you said you are down at the Blackwater end of Cambers. I'm not far from the lovely park in Sandhurst that goes all the way down to the Meadows - ideal for jogging/walking/cycling and when we've done all that, we can play on the equipment. They've got some good stuff there:D:D Plus!!!! A lovely little cafe where we can re-hydrate with water and/or black coffee and totally ignore the lovely cake the old dears make and sell.

What say you?
x

That sounds fab :D I actually live the other end of Camberley, Near town, But can get down to you in no time ;) I`d prob have to meet you in Tesco car park cos I dunno how you get to the other bit cos I`m rubbish! lol

If you see a mad woman looking like someone from The Ministry of Silly Walks then you will know its me. Please say Hi and don't cross the street :rotflmao:

:rotflmao: ur an absolute nut! :heartpump:

Day 29!!!! No sign of Eric.....or Fred/Dick lol but signs of something else?!!

Good afternoon to you. Wet, cold and totally dismal here today.

I fully intended to do my Ministry of Silly Walks impression over the local park today. Feed the ducks en-route but one look out of the window told me that wasn't going to happen. Waded through some ironing instead.

I did walk to the shops in the Shape-ups, just to buy a newspaper, and they seemed ok. It was definitely worth wearing them around the flat first, just to get used to them. It was a bit weird looking straight ahead, which the makers insist on. I am usually looking down at the floor. Shyness or embarrassment? Not sure, but wouldn't miss out on a pound coin that somebody had dropped by looking down. :D

Got my wii all set up with the new telly, so will have to get back into the wii fit now. Absolutely no excuse.

Eric wasn't in when I got up this morning. He must have gone out with friends last night and decided to stay over. He's still not back yet and its almost 4pm! If he's not back soon then I'm locking the doors and windows and serves him right.

Got a bit spooked earlier, when I was putting away ironing. By the side of my bed I have a little unit with two shelves on it that I use for my books. On the top shelf a few books had moved forward towards the wall, followed by a few that were in their proper position, then two books forward and three or four correct, then another couple forward, then the little box that has a lock of my mum's hair and my sister's hair in it was tipped up at a funny angle. This box is at the end of the row of books. The whole scene looked weird and I was trying to rationally explain it to myself. Maybe I knocked into the shelf in my sleep last night but surely I would have felt that and woken up? The angle of this box puzzled me though. It would have been impossible to have done this just by knocking into the unit.

I told the "ghost" to bugger off as I wasn't interested. Hopefully that will be the end of such nonsense.

One porridge and one shake down so far today. Struggling with water but will go and down a couple of big glasses now.

Hope you are all well and happy xxx

eek, spooky! There's a bit of ghost-story research in what i am working on just now... maybe it's contagious! At least you know the ghosts, if any, would be friendly ones...

I've had some horribly spooky stuff happen where I've lived in the past. One house we lived in had horrible things happen and we worked it out that it always happened on Saint's days. Not sure what that was about but it definitely wasn't friendly. Had to get someone to come in and cleanse the place. I'm now living on my own and really don't need it  xx

Sounds like you're a little bit psycho... oops, I mean psychic!

Seriously, yikes... come back Eric, all is forgiven...

Na, you probably knocked it while you were sleeping - dreaming about rough and tumble with Johnny Depp perhaps! ;)

Or...... it could have been Eric's dad who came looking for him in the night ........sit up tonight with your slipper ready for him......

Lol, Tara, love it. I definitely didnt have any such dreams about Johnny Depp or anyone else

Had one of 'those' dreams about a work colleague on Thursday night though. Nothing actually happened but the intent was there, sort of, in the background ;) All rather delicious really and for the record..........I would if I had to.........if he wasn't married etc etc. Personality, sense of humour, looks all 10/10 :cry:

Evening Chels, bit of a miserable day here in the end. Spent the second part of the afternoon on the sofa watching a film, whilst the rain pelted down outside. Lovely to be cosied up inside! And you have your ironing done, I have failed completely on that score.

Did you see your colleague on Friday???

Have a great evening and here's to a fab week x

Ironing... blehh, yuck... I need to do some asap or DD will go to school topless.

Oh feck Wales, colleague???? Friday?????? I don't know what you mean, brain has 'gone' perhaps you would like to remind me where/what I should have been doing??

If you are referring to the dream I had then yes I did and I was slightly embarrassed thinking he might have known what I dreamt - which is completely daft haha.

I'm confused now.
