Chelsea Lou - The Ventura adventure, not a sinking ship!

Good thanks. :) Had an extra busy day today and going out again shortly to the launch night for a new business of one our clients, the invite says champagne and canapes, pity l'll have to decline and stick to mineral water. :sigh:
This is the 11th day of my restart, 9th day of 100% SS (2 days were SS+). Only a few more lbs and l'll be back in the 10s - yay! I find the weekends the trickiest bit, so am giving myself the option of SS+/810 if l feel l need it.
You're going great guns Dis. Well done.

Bummer about having to make do with mineral water and missing out on the champers :cry: xxx

My menus for 810 have been:-

Tues 1st March

3 CD shakes
Cottage cheese allowance with 3 tablespoons of leaves/spring onion.

Weds 2nd March

3 CD shakes
180g tin (drained) Tuna with 3 tablespoons of leaves/spring onion.

Thurs 3rd March

3 CD shakes
2 poached eggs on top of 3 tablespoons of spinach.

Daily 12fl oz skimmed milk

So far so good and I am quite enjoying having some food choices.

Hope you are all well xxx

Chels, 7 weeks... and NINE for the ciggies! Total credit hun. Glad the 810 choices are suiting you, too! Looks like you are racing away, inspiring.

Thanks KC, I am going to have a mix-a-man later this evening ;) Not sure what flavour yet though lol xxx How was your day today?

Great day Chels... what flavour Mix-A-Man did you choose? Something cool and sweet and tasty?

After reading your thread l'm convinced l'll ask my CDC for a tub of mix-a-man powder.

Chels, when you make the MAM how much water do you add? When l've made it in the past sometimes it's been too runny.

Hi Disney,

For Mix-A-Mousse:

I use about 140 mls (eventhough the can says 150). I open the packet and add the MAM to it. Mix them together first then pour the powder into the tall mixing cup with Very cold water. I use my stick blender and then sppon it out into a small bowl and chill for 10 minutes. Yum!

And for Mix-a-Man:

I use Gin and Tonic in large amounts, and wait until the pub is closing to roll him the down the street to my house.

Lol at Mel... classic.

Good Morning Chels,

Hope you are well this Friday Morning and work is not too hectic for you hun.
Have a great day and a fab weekend!

Hi Yang,

This is Ying here.

I am off to do Pump fx soon. So, take it easy this morning, lest we knock the earth off its Axis.

Sorry, I can't help these space references: DD STILL hasn't finished that darn "Orrerey," i.e. solar system model (we learnt this "term" at the Space Centre).

If you want to get "physical" your turn can this evening.

So, go to your local pub, find and man and add Gin and Tonic in large amounts, and wait until the pub is closing to roll him the down the street to your flat. (Then you will be having Mix-A-Man not Mix-A-Mousse for dessert -- not just low cal, but if you prepare it correctly it helps you to burn calories!) ;)

Food choices are good Chels, I seem to have exactly the same every day..... ha ha. Enjoy your mix a man and have a great day xx

*Dis to CDC* I'll have a 6' blond, with bright blue eyes, dazzling smile,.................. lol. I use between 140 - 150 depending on whether I'm wearing my glasses to see which level the water is at :D

Howdee Ying :D So who are you pumping this morning? ;) Re: DD's project.......I'd be inclined to say that it was swallowed up by a black hole and be done with it haha x
Have a great day Chels! It sounds as if you are on real roll at the moment and your 810 menu sounds great! :)
Thanks Alli, I am enjoying it I have to say. I might treat myself to some chicken tonight, with a bit of spice over it.........nice and "hot" yum :D
Food choices are good Chels, I seem to have exactly the same every day..... ha ha. Enjoy your mix a man and have a great day xx
Linda, as long as you are enjoying it, it doesn't matter if you have the same IMO. My CDC knew of one lady that lost tons of weight (prob slight exaggeration) on just choc shakes

Hope you are all ok this lovely Fribury morning. xxx

Day 48 )

Hello all,

Well, how happy am I? On a scale of 1 - 10 I would say about 15!!!

It is dress down day at work today, like every Friday and I always wear my suit as I have no jeans that I can get into, apart from a pair of really ill-fitting 16s. Anyway, last night I thought I would try on some old 14s that I have not been able to get into for months and months and..........hey presto they fitted a treat.

This morning when I put them on they were slightly on the baggy side and now (13:25pm) that they have loosened up a bit, they are really baggy around the thighs, bum and tummy area. Chels is a very smiley person today.

DD2's future MIL suggested that we go out for a bike ride tomorrow morning at 8:00am  She, like me, is desperate to get looking great for the wedding cruise. So that is the plan for a couple of hours tomorrow morning, then have to take my car to get a new tyre fitted.......loads of dosh :cry:then not sure what is on the agenda. I am really starting to feel that I would love a night out as I have been hiding away for so long because of my size and lack of confidence etc., but I know that this would be a wrong move at this stage with being tempted to have a little Scotch & DC and/or wine ;), which may lead me to food. So I am having to tell myself that the men of Berkshire and Surrey will have to be a little more patient.......I will soon be 'out there' :D:D:rolleyes:

I trust that everyone is having the best day and hope that you are enjoying some lovely early spring sunshine

xx

But not too long hey Chels? ;)!

Great about the baggy jeans!! xx

Thanks Bess.......I come out with all this stuff but then that horrible little voice starts pecking away at me......"who does she think she's kidding, no-one would want her"

Self esteem is on the floor most days. Doh!!! xxx

:hug99: Self esteem and confidence take a while to build back up (mine's at a low ebb at the moment), but you've got a great personality and such a lot going for you, someone would be very, very lucky to have you.

Dis & Chels... you are BOTH awesome, beautiful and strong women, so quit argueing! I know what you mean about the confidence on the floor, we all have this... the sadness of gaining weight and the ordeal of losing it again, and it IS an ordeal this time around... but we are still here and still working on this, and we WILL get there. This journey has to make us stronger, surely.

Chels, you are so kind and lovely in personality, so funny & clever, and so beautiful too... you'll be mixing-your-men before you know it. (Actually that sounds a bit odd, but yknow what I mean!!!) The problem will be more about whether they are good enough for YOU. So there!

Yay to the baggy trousers, you are wasting away!!!

That is ridiculous thinking. You and I have never met, but I know what a wonderful person you are. Kind, warm, friendly, outgoing, intelligent, funny, loyal, trustworthy and decent. And much less important, going by your by photo's, very good looking.

That is what I, someone who's never met you sees. So when your weight loss gives you the confidence you need you'll WOW them! xxxx
