Chelsea Lou - The Ventura adventure, not a sinking ship!

So, I rushed over there to check that out!

Hmm, no spark, hey ho, when's the next one?!!(Remember my friend? THE ONE was no. 19! and she decided there'd only be 20!) No. 19 is such a hunk! xxx

hee hee, Bess. Over the last few years I reckon I've notched up 119 and they have all been a bit weird or the one that I really liked didn't like me as much :cry:Yes, I know...........I liked 1!!!!! How fussy of me hahahahaha

Now, about this walk round Hampton Court?......You can tell me- there's no one listening! See? Just us! :D xx

LOL -- Bess!

Not true: I am always lurking somewhere. I found the "dirt" on the Hampton Court Hook-Up! I always suspected that Chels was one to "walk on the wild side"!

Actually Chels -- why no spark? Too bad -- but it sounds as if the day was not a total bust.

Mel/Bess, was worried that he might want to do a Henry VIII on me and chase me round the maze  Can you imagine if he had suggested it? He might have had me head chopped orf for not yielding to his demands ;)

Ha ha, nothing like that at all. We chatted and laughed, all very comfortable but absolutely no chemistry on a *whispers* sexual level  I know you are going to think I am weird but (apart from his crooked teeth) he had really fat fingers, like ten Bowyers on his hands lol. Oh Lord, I sound so shallow :(

Hi Chels,

Not really. If it isn't there -- why waste anyone's time. My friend, Lew, always says if you don;t have AMAZING chemistry in the beginning, then how can you expect to have anything after a bit of time.

Oh no, not weird at all, I'm with you on the fingers Chels! The look of a man's hands is so important. Give him the 'swerve' (Katy's expression - it makes me laugh!) Onto number.....? (Lots 'til 19!) xx

Morning Yang,

I hope everything is going well for you! You were the one suffering from "Jet lag" yesterday, and I am the one who overslept! I am beginning to think that we are like those identical twins that are separated at birth and can feel each others' pain, etc. hummm.

I hope you have a wonderful day at work (and otherwise)!

Aw, lovely thought Ying but trust me.......you wouldn't want to be feeling my pain today  Darn Beans!!!!! :D

Hahaha, always makes me grin too Bess, and will definitely give him 'the swerve'.

Shoes are another thing with me, complete deal breaker, along with the hands. One guy I had been seeing for a couple of dates turned up one night wearing Burgundy patent shoes - we were going to a nightclub - and they just left me cold, so out the door he went. Now I don't want to give you all the impression that I am a fussy moo and if I had really liked him then it wouldn't have been so much of a problem but when you are still trying to work out if you like someone enough ;) these things do become the deal breakers. Like *ahem* them wearing the wrong kind of pants (knickers to Mel) hahaha, not literally Mel.....not knickers to you but knickers as you being American, pants have a different meaning......oh gawd, digging a great big hole here - A chap years ago and who I really liked.....when we were.....you know.....for the first time......he presented himself in some bright orange "budgie smugglers" I tell you...........not impressed but I wanted him so much I let it go :8855:

Nope... I have my own "issues". Although, once I learned that I am mildly lactose intolerant it is better. As long as I limit my dairy, my family can live in the same house with me.

hee hee -- I always liked the "left so fast I made skid marks!"

Not so much hands... but dirty, yucky fingernails -- never. EEEEWWW

This last paragraph was totally "pants"! (Did I use that correctly?)

Is this what we call a "banana hammock"?

I tell you...........not impressed but I wanted him so much I let it go :8855:

And, there's the he is already in his skivvies, how do I get out of this now factor. ;)

Hi Yang,

I hope your day is going well. I've done a few things, but seem to be in "slacker" mode.

Is this what we call a "banana hammock"? Banana!!?? Aren't you the lucky one??!! lol, I must have mu mum's luck.........she used the olde english term "half inch and a wrinkle" when describing a certain gentleman hahahahaha

I tell you...........not impressed but I wanted him so much I let it go :8855:

And, there's the he is already in his skivvies, how do I get out of this now factor. ;) I know.....what a let-down. Can you imagine if we all lived by the "no sex before marriage" philosophy? How many generations of women that have gone before us been sooo disappointed on their wedding nights :D:D

Hi Yang,

That all looks a bit of a mess below but I wanted to reply to your replies Mel, so have done it in black.

I apologise for my dirty sense of humour :D

lol -- You rmum sounds like a hoot!

I think that is why (the wedding night disappointment) there were so many b&sta%rds in the world.

Day 4 blues

I have already posted this over on my SW diary but I will repeat it over here, in case you are interested.

I have bought, for the last two lunchtimes, a prawn layered pasta salad from Tescos, basically my thinking was that it was all free food, apart from the little bit of mayo, which I was allowing 6 syns for. OMG, I did the syn calculator online and the pot is 13.5 syns  Really hacked off as I thought I was making a healthy choice and now I have gone right off the rails. I'm sitting here and just ate a bag of crisps and a cereal bar, thinking s*d it....today (and yesterday it would appear) is a complete write-off!!!

A little thought went through my brain about going and getting a couple of weeks worth of shakes from CDC but that is NOT what I want to be doing for the rest of my life. Why is this so blinking hard???????

Heeeeeeellllp!!!!!!!!

No no, not hard, it just takes a bit of getting used to that's all. Don't worry Chels, you'll be fine. Probably best to make your own pasta/prawn lunch though - then it would be syn free. Mind you, I hardly ever do.
Last time I did SW, years ago,I remember that I got very bored because I always used to eat the same things - I couldn't be bothered to find out about options or try new recipes, but this time I'm making more of an effort and it's much better.
Be patient, you'll get it soon enough, it is complicated at first though. xx

Aw........there you are Bess. What a black beauty you are :D

I agree about the boredom factor, I tend to stick with the same old stuff. Its finding the time to shop, prepare and cook meals when working full time. I leave before 8 in the morning and dont get home until 6, usually too knackered to do anything :( I have bought some extra lean mince for tonight and intend to make a Cottage pie but feeling so disgruntled. Two days wasted, when I was thinking I had been fairly good.

Never mind. What's the worst (?) that could happen? I could get fat again

xx

Hi Chels,

Draw a line under it. BUT do not compound the error -- the 13.5 syns were a mistake; the crisps were a choice. But, it is all in the past, so let's move on. You can do this, and Bess has given you some sound advice.

I like the CD as a part of my plan. I have a MAM, maybe a soup -- but I also have my own oatmeal (don't like CD porridge) and my own meals. Sort of a combo thing -- and I am accountable to my CDC (if no one was weighing me, I'd probably cheat).

As I am South Beaching for DH, it also works very well for me. The meals would work well for you (very SW, WW and 810 friendly).

Tonight's dinner is meatballs (low carb variety) with a red sauce. I will cook whole wheat pasta, and his will be measured using the RC portion pots. He will also have some steamed vegetables, as he had a big green salad (mixed lettuce, spinach, chopped onions, peppers -- red, yellow and green, cucumbers, a small amount of tomatoes) and then Tuna mixed with olive oil based mayonaise, a tiny bit of pickle relish and some yellow mustard for lunch. (It was what I had for dinner last night, as they had chicken kabobs in a whole wheat pitta and I did not fancy those without the bread or some rice).

MM

Morning Chels, dont see those days as write offs because we are allowed 15 syns a day and even if you exceeded your 15 for those 2 days we can use our syns as flexible syns, add up the 15 syns a day for the 7 days and just dont exceed that amount over the week, all is not lost, just not to the plan you had in mind. I have found out before that salad is normally higher cal than a sandwich (believe it or not) because there are always hidden things in it so I avoid them like the plague (not that I like salad much anyway, but they are free and superfree at that). I think some of the mugshots are free on SW so that would make another option for lunch with a bunch of grapes or even a banana. Tesco also do a tub of salad in the veggie bit (so do morrisons actually and probably the others) which is only cherry toms, cucumber, italian salad and pepper with no sauces etc, so you could have that with a small pack of ham for lunch too.........

Anyway, all is not lost so dont fret on it, everything will be fine..... have a good day xx

Thanks for the wise words. I just really reverted to type. It threw me and I went beserk......scales are up today as well, which I was expecting but so disappointed about, all the same.

I shall have to try and work out what I have had syn-wise so far this week and see if I can come up with a plan.

It doesn't help that I joined online last Tuesday, so therefore that is my WI day, whereas Saturday was my 1st day, so I'm weighing in after 3 days. Jeez I feel screwed up and veering from sticking with it to going back to CD (not the answer I know) to trying Harcombe, WW, Atkins and right back again!!! I'm in a bad place today. Also it has come to my attention that it is only you guys that are responding to me over on the SW forum and I feel like giving that a 'swerve' but don't feel like I can post up my SW diary on here. They don't appear to be the most welcoming bunch and I have asked for help/advice, to no avail.

Yang,

I do not think that Minimins is going to give you any trouble over leaving your CD diary where it is -- and posting your Slimmng World details in it. You can changed the heading of the "Ventura" to read something like -- Chelsea using CD, SW, or Whatever it Takes! Then, no one should complain if "food is mentioned" -- and really if you can't handle hearing about food then there is a Strictly SS forum (granted not very active, but it is there).

I am sure there must be some option for changing your weigh in day. Why don't you check the website's FAQS. And, if you want -- give yourself a restart, if possible.
